  1. Probably the most important variable Belicheat is considering is the experience level of the QB he is facing (plus the youth surrounding him, esp. at WR). So in some respects, he might not change that much. Just a hunch.
  2. And if he gets to that level, we should all be celebrating his signing as one of the great moves of the Whaley era.
  3. Are you worried that maybe that sentence should be written in the past tense now? I know I am, based on what my untrained eyes are telling me.
  4. Stand up with your feet apart and think of the Queen?
  5. All these strongly worded arguments and counter arguments, with people staking out firm positions and refusing to give ground. And not a single ad hominem attack, insinuation that someone on the other side is a P*ts fan, or condescending comment about a poster's alleged knowledge of the game to be found. This place is slipping. Can't the moderators step in here?
  6. Imagine what it's doing to opposing coaches. Maybe there is method in this madness.
  7. Gotta read the Manuel before using the Tuel. (Sorry.) kj
  8. I think Astro gets the Sam Gash Award. (Anyone remember that from training camps a decade ago, or is my brain playing tricks?) kj
  9. Maybe his lawyer is angling to get him tried as a juvenile, since he has the brains of one.
  10. Thought we had seen Astro's best work and then BAM! He gives us another great write up. Nice job. Thanks so much. kj
  11. Good point. Lets see a breakdown of offense penalties per snap and defense and see how that compares.
  12. Because no one of intelligence ever has their eyes opened or changes their mind. Of course.
  13. I guess they cropped the pics. But it is still worth a look, to see how the DL is lining up on the play.
  14. This is baseless speculation on your part. It is far too early to rule out virgin sacrifice. kj
  15. This ends up being more about Ponder's limitations, but it still has some interesting stuff on Pettine's D, esp. the psycho front. http://nfl.si.com/2013/08/17/the-all-22-christian-ponders-confusion-against-buffalos-defense-speaks-to-a-larger-issue/
  16. Thanks guys. Good stuff. It helps this non-football guy to know a little bit about what the football guys are watching when they evaluate a player. So we should think about LB in addition to DB and OL as problem areas for depth.
  17. Well, we all said that we couldn't wait for a Bills team where the punter wasn't the best player. And here we are.
  18. Kiko was out last night, and I am curious how the other guys did. What do we think about the depth there? I have heard very little about Bradham from either camp reports or game recaps/analyses, and wonder how he is coming along. kj
  19. Assuming wikipedia is accurate: 2006, Bears beat Jets, lost to P*ts and Phins 2007, Giants beat Jets and Phins, lost to P*ts 2008, Arizona beat Phins, lost to P*ts and Jets 2009, NO swept the division 2010, GB beat the Jets and Bills, lost to P*ts and Phins 2011, Giants swept the division 2012, SF swept the division 2013, ? Except for 2008, the Jets performed the same. kj
  20. So play of the night was either Goodwin or Goodwin? Cool. Thanks for these. kj
  21. No, no victory laps. But Marrone hasn't had to resort to benching EJ for a preseason game yet, either. http://www.cbssports...-preseason-game Nor has anyone described any of EJ's practices as "brutal."
