  1. I'm guessing that this is probably even more important with SJ's unorthodox style of play.
  2. I think he meant "first TD bomb as a passer."
  3. This post (all of it, including what I deleted) is exactly, 100% right. Nail on the head, can't be anymore spot on. (The only way this is NOT the worst case scenario is if Thad Lewis is a Tom Brady in waiting. Which appears unlikely.) We need to know, or have a pretty good idea, if EJ is the guy. Now we are likely going to be left guessing if he is. kj
  4. I don't think this is necessarily a trolling thread. Remember that up until the end of the Bills-Jets game, most here were pretty confident that EJ was well ahead of the other guy, and many felt that there wasn't much of a comparison. Today, the draft day pouting doesn't matter as much as the 2 injuries to EJ that are going to prevent him from working out the problems he has. The single most important thing we needed from this season was to know that we had our guy under center. Not an all-world guy, necessarily, but someone we could reasonably project into the role of franchise QB. The Jets had the same issue. With half the preseason and maybe half the regular season lost to injury, I think there is a better chance that we won't know what we have at the end of the season than we will have our hopes for EJ confirmed. And I think the Jets have to be pretty comfortable with where Geno is headed. These 2 will always be compared to each other. Just the way it is going to be. Making that comparison is not trolling. kj Adding: I agree it's too early to make a final assessment about them, but many were willing to do that earlier when it looked like EJ was ahead. Thinking of it as a marathon, I think EJ has fallen well behind.
  5. Thanks to you both for clarifying.
  6. What happens if Bryd-dog is traded and his new team tags him for next season? Does he get the inflated average salary, since it's his 2nd year, or does the team pay the straight average salary, since it's their first contract with him?
  7. With this injury I think it likely that we won't know what we have with EJ by season's end. The biggest thing we needed this season was a pretty sure sense that EJ could be our guy moving forward. His performance was definitely hurt by the first knee injury and it will certainly be impacted when he returns for this one. We've seen some good stuff, but enough not so good stuff to have legitimate concerns about his ability to develop into a franchise QB. Yes, he's a rookie, and a rookie with significant missed time. So we aren't ready to throw him into the scrap heap with JP, Trent, RJ, etc. But we also cannot declare him a legitimate long-term answer at QB yet. The problems that the OP and other football people here have diagnosed are probably correctable, but honestly the footwork issues scare me. They probably can be corrected, but we are all just hoping that they will be. And I am guessing that this injury means we won't be any closer to knowing what we have with EJ at season's end, either. kj
  8. And Mohr wasn't done when Moorman replaced him either. So I don't know what kind of adage this is.
  9. We are Bills fans. When do the delusions stop? kj
  10. If we had decent punt coverage, we would be walking away with this...
  11. 7 for 56 bills (not sure if that KW offsides is in there) 3 for 37 for browns
  12. Rushing yards: 148 to 45 in favor of the good guys
  13. And the Bills have not performed as well in the 2nd halfs of games this year. Adjustments? I don't like where this is going.
  14. So Hackett showing the ability to build week to week too: those end arounds last week made that possible.
  15. And that will help to neutralize home field!
  16. Bryd-dogging
  17. What's his middle name? Dirty? Late? Flag? http://tracking.si.com/2013/10/01/49ers-donte-whitner-fined-21000-for-hit/?sct=nfl_t2_a6
  18. Kiko went back and put all the posts of Bill in NYC in a particular order.
  19. Only Kiko has the power to make Chuck Norris jokes funny again.
  20. I see the state of our Bills in the picture thread. I think much of the team is at or slightly above where I thought, but honestly EJ looks rawer than I had hoped.
