  1. Awesome. We need an official Department of Obscure Research at TBD. With their own office and everything. I bet there's room in the budget.
  2. Let's just hope the front office doesn't do both.
  3. Health goes a long way. If we have an injury report that is just a little shorter, we are 3-3 and very possibly 4-2. If we were 4-2, we would all be ecstatic.
  4. I think it's definitely not SOS this year. The thing I am not sure of is if this year's S smells better than previous years'.
  5. I have to take issue with the point made and the tone of the comment. Gilmore played with one hand, which obviously would limit his ability to fight off a block. He struggled, but who wouldn't with that injury? You can't assess his play or his value based on this game. Not fair to the player who is doing what he can--not enough, sure--to help a really struggling secondary. But also really not fair to the community. The last few weeks and esp. the Jets game have shown how important a good CB is in today's game. So yeah, Gilmore remains an important piece of the puzzle. Maybe he's not shutdown, I think he is (I admit to not being one of the football guys around here and will defer to the experts.) But show some respect to those on the board who value Gilmore's play. Thinking Gilmore is a quality CB isn't the type of comment that deserves to be belittled by comparing it to believing in Santa Claus. kj
  6. You see, you are thinking too linearly. We need to shake up this franchise, really get things moving in a new direction. Never get there by doing the obvious.
  7. I see your point, but I also see the point of QBs and others trying to do too much. This team has been a great play away from a win in each of its losses. And this team is edging closer to another lost season. Hard to blame anyone for wanting to make a game-saving or even season-saving play. kj
  8. We are moving the ball on the ground well.
  9. https://twitter.com/search?q=%23thadpuns&src=hash
  10. Luckily both problems are solvable.
  11. How does the WR rotation go today? Will we see less 3 WR sets?
  12. In a related move, Vegas oddsmakers just moved the spread 5 1/2 points.
  13. I think it's interesting that all of the Patri*t's appearances on that list are negatives for that te*m. Only 1 is a positive play for them, Adam V's snowy field goal. But the description is mostly about the BS non-fumble call that leads up to it, so it is at least partially negative, in that the writer acknowledges the kick never should have happened. 43. Pollard hits Brady hard and low 13. Tuck rule overshadows the clutch kick 9. Tuck rule 3. Tyree: my favorite non-Bills football memory ever Can't the league's darlings get a break here?
  14. What's my prize? Good list though. And good to see one of TBD's own in the spotlight. kj
  15. Does the writer quoted hang out here sometimes? Is he the one who interviews the old timers? kj
  16. But imagine what he could do with a group of high quality muralists. Sorry. I have no idea what the rules are here. First timer here. Curiosity drew me here. kj
  17. Every team is going to consider him damaged goods, and his next contract is going to reflect that view. PF is chronic and unpredictable. My uninformed guess is that he is going to be a relative bargain for some other team to sign. Shoulda taken the deal. kj
  18. But if Kiko did it, the league would pay him, change its uniform policy, and issue a personal thank you signed by Roger Goodell. Sorry, wrong thread. kj
  19. I was a weenie to you earlier; here I'll agree with you. I reserve the right to return to form as I deem necessary. (Honestly, I was speaking more in a sense of fun than trying to win internet points. Sorry.) kj
  20. Well you got a head start on us by recycling your post from page 2 of this thread.
  21. Why do you think that the run defense is more important than the pass rush? My first instinct would be to have these 3 in reverse order (with the assumption that part of #3 is a quality QB). kj
  22. Pettine loves him some versatile players.
