I could actually accept that excuse: he was trying to give an off-the-cuff explanation of a state legislator's position. He could have misspoken. What I CAN'T accept is the governor's office's current explanation of "He didn't misspeak, Republicans are misrepresenting what he said!" He literally said it was up to the doctors and parents to decide whether or not to kill an infant after the infant is born. He may have misspoken. But he did say that.

And the context was abortions for severe deformities and birth defects. The context was certainly "after the baby was born, you can decide what to do." Still odious as *****. The VA governor was on the radio this morning, and suggested that under certain circumstances, the new VA abortion bill would allow for abortions after birth of the baby. Also suggested that the provider would be responsible for that decision, with input from the parents. Not only is that completely odious, it's not even pro-choice, and it's not even abortion, but infanticide.
