It's so often difficult to tell half-assed trolling from genuine stupidity. If he's trolling, he's really bad at it. Are you equally amazed the Times doesn't get it? Do you think Lynette Clemetson is racist for writing that article?

On the one hand, he's a screen writer, so he's used to making up ridiculous and complex plots. On the other hand...I've read his scripts. He's not this good. ?

They have absolutely no say in the matter. None at all. The IC neither investigates nor, aside from their own people, adjudicates clearances. And the President, as the ultimate national authority on national security, is the final adjudicator of clearances. I don't support the wilder of DR's conspiracies (I indulge him...which is not the same thing), but this honestly looks more like the disinformation he mentioned yesterday that was coming.

The Federalist is okay. Breitbart is crap. WaPo is okay, too...not what it was ten years ago. Everything's gotten too damn partisan, and sloppy. I see stories published with inaccurate or incorrect information (that I know of first-hand - saw a story this morning, in fact, that I knew was wrong, if not flat-out dishonest) with enough frequency that I don't trust any American sources any more.

With "It's racist to call my racist words racist!" Which is an epic level of stupid.

That should be "press," right? Just 'cause "Pres" is a typical abbreviation for "president."
