Thanksgiving Football: What to Watch For
apuszczalowski replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So the amazing team that might be 3rd best in the AFC right now with a franchise QB and great HC could only manage FGs in the 1st half and couldn't convert 4ths that they went for? Funny thing is, almost all the Chargers wins have come against teams the Bills have also beaten (except Dallas) and yet those wins are looked at as unimpressive for the Bills and great for SD. And i am counting last week too because the Bills have also beat themselves badly this year too..... Watching Dak and the Cowboys play, i dont feel as bad having Tyrod as a starter...... For a supposed franchise guy, he looks unimpressive without a RB. -

So there's 6 teams playing and only 1 AFC team involved? Since Dallas and Detroit traditionally get the day home games today, the night should be for an AFC game -
Miami is 16.5 against the Pats on proline here in Ontario.... I just can't pick those games, but I do know that of I go with Miami, it guarantees the Pats win by 17. (Last year I missed out on 5k and ended up with a little over a hundred cause the Pats beat the spread over the Ravens on Monday night by .5 points) I wouldn't pick the chiefs with that spread, this is one of those games where we all sit there and think it's low, or an easy pick then the Chiefs play like garbage and the Bills squeak out a win we wouldn't expect and give a glimmer of hope before reality crashes back down next week!

Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22
apuszczalowski replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Well if they do look pathetic, it will be the "hometown" new Yorkers who will have to be there to watch. Must be nice that the Rangers get 42 home games and the Sabres 40 this year just because MSG can't give up one game... -
I believe shredd and Reagan already did something like this a few Years ago with bills stuff and a car, had it crushed and sent to Massachusetts to hopefully pass it on to them.....

Raiders Fire DC Ken Norton, Jr.

You laugh, but it could work, until BB catches on and fires some low level grunt coach and they get a bigger advantage And firing Dennison anytime is an advantage -

This is all just strategy, usually changing a coordinator gives you a spark and play better for a game or 2 (happened to the Bengals earlier this year) . Since the Broncos fired their coordinator, the raiders who play them this week had to fire one of theirs so the Broncos wouldn't have the advantage this week! Genius move -
CJ Anderson potential FA target for 2018?

I bet the jags are kicking themselves right now for drafting one early, and the cowboys are just cruising along not missing the guy they also took early..... -
Chargers felt disrespected by Peterman starting.

4 wins now...... -
They were not and still not tanking, they are doing exactly what they said they are doing, trying to win with an eye on the future. They aren't trying to lose games to get teh #1 overall pick, they are looking to win games now, but also doing so while trying to build their team for the future. They aren't going to lose on purpose just to move up in the draft(the definition of a tank), but they are also going to look to younger guys and temporary place holder veterans while collecting picks to bridge the gap til they can get players in that fit what they are trying to run. The move to start peterman was them hoping to maybe jump start a stalled offence, unfortunatley it blew up in their face and didn't work. Now as I say all this, they are probably finishing up the paper work to release taylor, put Glen, Benjamin and matthews on IR while McCoy has an unfortunate mishap during practice and also has to head to IR and peterman gets the nod to start the rest of the season when they bring Joe Webb back to be the #2 QB.......

yeah, thats not how it works around here, your supposed ot kick and scream and complain that they dont do something, then when they do, complain that they did it and shouldn't have done it cause it didnt work like they wanted it to As for the Chargers, Dont flatter yourselves. You just happened to get lucky that you face the Bills after 2 blowouts and many outing of struggling offence. They didn't make the change because of your team, it could have been the pats, Browns or anyone and the move still would have been made because they were making a last ditch effort to try and spark a struggling offence. -
Who starts next week: Taylor or Peterman?
apuszczalowski replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are going to lose a lot of people with this, having Jay Cutlers name after the words some of the best QBs ever should never be said..... -
His offence has been as bad or worse then McCoys all season. It's being reported that the change to the guy who threw 5 picks was influenced by him and a move he pushed for. The offence was also supposed to be suited more for the guy who now may hold the record for worst QB debut in the modern NFL history.
-
It was a move that backfired badly, but not a bad move. They had to do something to hopefully spark the offence that was not working. They did what a huge percentage of the fans have been screaming for and made the QB change after 2 very bad offensive games. Now those same people that wanted the move are screaming about how they shouldn't have made the move and how it was wrong. Now they know, Peterman was a 5th rounder for a reason and the offence wasn't horrible just because of the QB like many here thought. Things couldn't get worse was a phrase uttered by many here up until yesterday afternoon. I don't blame the coach or front office for making a move to try and shake up a struggling offence

I think it may have been better to go through life thinking you would have done well then to now have to go through life knowing you put up one of the worst stat lines in modern NFL history..... -
Mcdermott and his crew are no different than Rex
apuszczalowski replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is not a team that's quit, it's a team being outmatched talent wise and not being able to stop the other team. -
And it's because of McCoy? Yup, same situation, Dak has never shown that he can lead a good offence in this league and their offence has been struggling to score many points this season

Much better to not win a game then to lose a couple by blowout? -
So do you think that McCoy was holding them back? 3 of those 5 players draf6ed aren't there anymore. And it wasn't until they dumped Chip and rebuilt the roster with a franchise QB (that many here thought would be a bust) that they turned around

Actually, they really are that bad talentwise. They aren't getting outcoached on the field, they are getting outplayed. Thw defence cant and wont tackle, and the receivers cant make catches that receivers k other teams in the nfl routinely make. What player outside of McCoy and maybe Benjamin on offence would another team want thats probably an upgrade? On defence is there anyone outside of maybe Hyde? Dareus was playing so well and was in such a demand that the best they could get for him was a conditional 6th from a team who's coach had him at his best. They lack talent -
C'mon, Prescott has actually run a pretty good offence that's now missing one of its biggest weapons in Elliott. Taylor's offence wasn't quite lighting up the league and he wasn't regularly putting up good numbers (or the reason why they were winning) a move needed to be made to try and spark the offence. Problem was it backfired miserably. The offence (and the qb) isn't the full reason why they are losing, the defence has been horrid. The problem is that today just went on to prove that Peterman is whay he is, a late round pick who is not the answer.
