  1. tyson is 3rd overall!1 wow
  2. LET CURRY FALL, AND FALL FAR. TO 11!!!!
  3. maybin clearly needs to grow into being an nfl DE. only one thing matters afaic --- can he pressure the passer right now with natural disruptive ability? if he can, then he is totally worth a 1st round pick for our bills. we just have to throw him in on 3rd downs, rotate our DEs to keep them fresh and just run a track meet towards the QB. the single thing we had the biggest problem with was rushing the passer. if we get just a bit more pressure on 3rd downs on a consistent basis, we get more sacks, fumbles, and interceptions. that will make our entire team much better. that's more possessions, d plays less snaps, and we force more punts when we have our opponents backed up -- with our kicking game that will result in points. so i dunno if it is ayers, orakpo, maybin, brown, or whoever, but we need to get a pass rusher who can make an impact on 3rd and obvious passing downs out the gate.
  4. personally i want a pass rusher and pettigrew, then some interior blockers in the draft. and an OLB in the first 4 rounds would be nice. that said, if they really think one guy is an all world guy, then i'll take him. peters in 07 was great for us, in 08 he was a quitter and worthless. i know andre smith has all kinds of red flags and looks fat and horrible, but he is rising lately and many guys out there think he is a john ogden type talent (with questions, but still). i'd rather not trade up, but if it just costs a 3rd or 4th and more cash then it's not so big a deal.
  5. IF PHILLY WEREN'T RETARDED THEY WOULD PAY HIM. IDIOTS, THEY PAYED BIG MONEY FOR A CORNER AFTER LETTING ANOTHER ONE WALK. IDIOTS!!!!!! ONLY DRAFT LINEMEN!!!! /peters nut swinger
  6. that OLB from OSU looks like a great fit for us -- might even be there in the 3rd.
  7. i watched (from the post on buffalo bills.com forums) the replays of peters vs porter. he got destroyed on more than 1 sack. he also let up a sack, and that other sack for a safety in miami against a 3 man rush. he has talent but his play for us was not that good.
  8. last game of the year we ran all over 9 in the box w no passing threat against NE, and we it w/o marshawn or peters.
  9. the sad thing is gandy didn't get his jock handed to him by the nfl mvp on D that game as badly as peters did on both of our miami games by porter. the bottom line IMO is o line play is like rubgy -- it's about balance and 5 guys playing well together, rather than d line play where a single stud makes everyone better. like corners, LTs are over drafted and over paid because it is just hard to find them, and coaches are risk averse, and corners or LTs making mistakes is what makes them scared.
  10. my fantasy draft is that we trade down a few spots for someone gunning for a qb (and i think the WRs, QBs, OTs, corners, and maybe even a couple of the top RBs will clutter things up) and we get brown/orakpo/maybin and pettigrew (might have to give back found picks to do this) in the first. if we don't have to give back too many found picks, we can get OG/T and OLB in the 2nd and 3rd.
  11. this would be face kickingly awesome. we'd ALWAYS have a monster in the middle, and get after the qb
  12. i want an explosive speed rusher to cause 3rd down havoc on the edge. with aaron back and particularly if we sign henderson, we don't need another slow and steady DE. it could be brown, but it could be orakpo or maybin IMO. if there is some way to trade down, package picks, whatever and get brown and pettigrew in the first i think we would be like SD when they added gates and merriweather.
  13. i think at the end of it we will add some power to our front 7 and have/will continue to add consistent blockers up front and weapons people fear on o. the result is that we will continue to be balanced and decent inside the 20s, move the chains, win the field position battle, force more turnovers, and most importantly turn goal to go situations into TDs. with our two young tall WRs, a TE upgrade, and TO and evans, we now have the tools for our accurate qb to pick guys apart in the end zone. add in lynch being a total monster in the redzone and i think we eliminate the super low scoring no points sht we've had.
  14. +1 zona's line was good enough to be a great O w no running game. we are more balanced than that. if we add henderson and a pass rusher to our d, and a te and 2 blockers to our o, we might have enough to be real players. top 5 d, top special teams, and an o that is balanced and can score in the redzone is enough to win.
  15. i've been overly critical of poz because i have high hopes for him, but the guy is far from a question mark. he's a pretty friggen good mlb given how many games he's played in.
  16. if we get waters/henderson or both then we have added 1 or two quality big men while losing one in peters. the sack numbers for peters are overdone, he is a sick talent who dominates... SOMETIMES. the problem i think is he isn't committed to football/the bills like he needs to be for that kind of scratch. i think we will be able to get good LT play from chambers/bell/walker/some FA. i think we might get a good RT prospect in the 2nd or 3rd and move walker over and not miss a beat.
  17. could they be swapping parrish and a 4th to land us a TE and a G/DT? shefler, waters, and henderson are all reported to be on the block. if we trade our 4th, our 4th from philly, and parrish for those 3 players i think you can say we are a better team. i'm thinking we might also be able to trade down some from the 11th pick for someone chasing a qb and pick up another 2nd and 3rd to lose only a few spots. that could get us some serious talent.
  18. i think a huge part in this is how out of shape peters was last season, and how he got a little dinged so he took the last couple of games off. a big fat soft me first prima donna is not worth that much money in the FO's eyes, they prolly figure they can get an impact player at pick 28 and just sign someone to be as productive as peters was last year.
  19. what did your crystal ball say about jp losman? you're special.
  20. i hope he sucks, gets a little dinged and takes off a few games just like he did for us last year. i also hope he makes the probowl in spite of all of this and maxes out our draft pick. then he can die in a fire while having homosexual relations with tom brady and bill billecheat.
  21. he was dominating on many plays, but the oline is not the dline. consistency and crafty play beats awesome performances with fck ups inbetween. i remember the sack where joey porter just whipped jason peters and got trent in a blink of an eye for a safety in miami. wtf was that sht? his ball washers were saying it was because he was out of shape, like that's a good thing for a pro athlete who wants mega bucks?
  22. the iggles have had good o lines, but qb play and sick D has been what got them over the hump more times than not. mcnabb has been hit and hurt plenty of times, and only with TO were they ever at the top of the heap. look at the LTs of the final 8 teams. i think in an attempt to appreciate the o line we have completly over rated the LTs impact to a team.
  23. curry is a complete linebacker and a tackling machine. if he plays like urlacher or lewis he is worth his draft status big time. i agree w most ppl that we need pass rush terribly, but if he is there at 8 and we can flip a 2nd and get him, i really wonder if that isn't just too good of a thing to pass up. all those slants that kill us might end up resulting in an eplosive hit in the flat followed by a ball hitting the ground.
  24. i like this kid, but i like maybin too. i think sackpo looks good, but i worry he isn't sudden enough. to me it comes down to who is going to be the most awesome pass rusher, maybin or brown. maybin is jayson taylor jr, brown is freeney jr. i remember when freeney was said to be a 10-15 pick reach around pick 11, and he just came out and caused a mess to start with.
