  1. My take on Jerry is of a divorced alcoholic. Is he a family man?
  2. Not real faith. Most of these people are scumbags. If they required actual faith in terms of living by a moral code privately instead of publicly, we wouldn't have enough players for 11 on a side and only maybe one or two coaches.
  3. Yep. Usually it is a special teamer that actually likes doing it because it is way less boring to be doing that than standing around. Yep. That was Marrone. Over the years it was, everybody stands around year after year, then Marrone everybody busy all the time, then Rex back to where everybody stood around (Usually they stand in places along the sideline where it makes it so I can not see! Which made it extra annoying.) And McD is a little more lively but not that much. Pretty much the standing around.
  4. That's really sad and it sounds about right. What has always bugged me is all the guys that the team doesn't really want, the camp body ones, basically just stand around watching while the good players do reps. Then the teams say they haven't got the reps. Well they could be having the scrubs do their own. But the only coach I ever saw do that was Marrone. Marrone's practices people didn't just stand around hardly ever. Yep and don't forget the defensive backs also practice picking off the ball and stuff.
  5. When Ej was here they probably used trainers or a player at a different position who could throw (like a former High School Quarterback) to do the drill work that the 4th QB would do.
  6. People don't know this but camp arms don't get any "Reps" at all to speak of. The saddest I ever saw was one guy who would go through 2 1/2 hours of camp in grueling heat each day to get his ONE rep. A rep is when they have 7 or 11 guys on each side simulating a play. It is what we think of as practice. Camp arms throw in drills. So you have however many receivers, tight ends, running backs drilling on some aspect of pass catching in their groups. It is camp arm QBs who do that work. the 4th QB doesn't have any chance at all to learn and improve in simulated playing conditions. Then they get stuck in the 4th preseason game and we all say how much they suck Sometimes the 3rd QB also has no chance. But for sure the 4th guy never has any chance at all to make the teams. He is basically a ball throwing machine for drills. To give you an idea, Reps might look like this for a camp day: Starter - 50 Backup - 20 3rd - 7 4th -1or 2
  7. If it makes you feel a little better, Jim can't drool. He's got no spit. For real. So whatever picture it was wouldn't have been mocking Jimbo.
  8. Well the reaching out part would be pretty easy. A simple "Hi There" would do the trick. Any sort of a fix would take time though. I guess the reaching will remain shrouded in mystery!
  9. Has he reached out yet does anybody know? Has there been any reaching out?
  10. There might be a middle ground here. Does TBN take Meadcoin?
  11. I guess we found the source of the Leak. It really shouldn't have been very hard.
  12. I do! I never saw the video though. Her voice sounds unusual coming from that little body! Family lore had it that I was conceived to that song. I had forgotten that. Or blocked it out maybe. This board is becoming a journey into self discovery for me.
  13. I think one thing being lost in all of this back and forth, is my "Portapotamus in the living room" joke.
  14. I don't understand what you mean. Can you explain it to me please? How does the traffic go from TBN to here? I can see how it goes from here to there because of all the links that point there. But I never saw anything pointing back from TBN to here.
  15. Not that anybody cares But to me one thing is that people who have the Buff News Bills Blitz Subscription don't really need a pointer for articles from this web site, right? They have a subscription. They will go and see what is there one would suppose. So the pointers for that are really only informative, to people who can't see the content that they point to. (Setting the free ones aside but they show as locked as has been pointed out). So the pointers to TBN articles that are behind the paywall really do seem to function primarily as an advertisement for TBN. Like I say people who have that subscription will look there. People who don't get a daily reminder that they don't. I think that is what bugs people. The news recap page has lost some of its usefulness. I myself now use Google instead to look for Bills news and articles. That being said I think if the news page helps this website I am all for it. I don't pay a nickle to be here. Somebody must have to pay for it. More power to them I say. I don't want to complain too much about features or advertisements on a website that I enjoy for free.
  16. I believe the expression often used is " The Portapotamus in the living room".
  17. I'm reminded of a line from the movie "Founder" about Ray Crock the McDonalds magnate. McDonalds was growing and growing but still Ray Crock was struggling financially and he couldn't understand it. Then he met a man who told him that the problem was, Crock didn't know what business he was in. He wasn't in the hamburger business. He was in the real estate business. Crock hired that man who then changed things so that McDonalds bought the prime locations and then leased them to the franchisees. Crock now retained ownership of the land the locations sat on, instead of trying to make money on the mark up from his milkshake mixes etc. And that is how he became a billionaire. Newspapers are in the advertising business. They always have been. Being unable to sustain a newspaper through advertising revenue means they are losing their life blood and they must focus like a laser beam on fixing that or risk insolvency. I don't think newspapers see it that way. And I think if they continue down the path of trying to carve back share from technical corporate giants like Google, in Google's back yard of the internet, as individual companies, the outlook is bleak for most of them. To me I think the press at large need to recognize what business they are in, define their common good, and then team up to turn the tide. Otherwise I think Google is going to crush them one by one.
  18. Mr. Terrific sports the “Band Camp Blazer” in black and the “TurtleTom” Top with the Extra Stretchy Head Hole.
  19. Thank you sir. And remember, sometimes scientific truth, can distract us from "artistic truth" I still feel like I am part monkey sometimes. And in an eerie coincidence, I literally just finished a banana. And I end with this randomly found post just now
  20. I didn't even know NBC had a sports magazine or whatever. My money says Pete is getting more money. A little less pressure for more money.
