Agree. The clowns you mentioned suck too (Irvin, Cowherd, Teddy B, etc...). Not trying to offend anyone with my analysis that Berman sucks. He's just gotten old. Happens to everyone. Jordan sucked when he got older (see Jordan with Wizards). We all get old (myself included).

Resurrect Bob Uecker and have him recite some of his classic one liners from Major League and Major League 2 everytime one is hit out of the park. That's the problem. Most TV personalities treat people like crap. I used to work in TV; therefore, I know what you are referring to.

Last night a few of us had a good conversation on Shoutbox about Chris Berman. That guy is way past his prime. During the home run derby last night he said BACK BACK BACK BACK GONE every single time a ball was hit. I had to hit mute at times just to enjoy the home runs. He should only be allowed to do the Sunday night NFL wrap up with Tom Jackson. I can't believe ESPN is allowing Berman to do a MNF game this year. I am tired of the old antics of Dick Vitale, Chris Berman, and Lee Corso. Didn't Tex Schramm, former GM of the Cowboys, once say in the 1970's that eventually the games will be played at empty stadiums? He felt that people would eventually stop attending and just watch it on TV, etc... He was a prophet.

If they brought Isaiah back, I would take a look at the Nets. I'm a huge Knicks fan; however, Isaiah's return would test my loyalty. I'm loving the stories of Pippen and Jordan refusing to have him on the Dream Team. I have Pippen and Jordan for what they did to my Knicks in the 90's; however, this is one instance where I'm proud of them.

As a Knicks fan I don't see an immediate threat from the Nets unless this Amare/Melo combo goes bust. If it doesn't result in a championship within the next 2 years and the Russian billionare owner of the Nets starts buying big name talent (which I think he will), I then see the threat. Dolan sucks as an owner of the Knicks. If you think Ralph Wilson is bad I dare you to do some research on Dolan. I'm afraid the Russian will be a better long term owner than Dolan.

As a Knicks fan, I wonder which team will get the most support from the residents of New York? With Jay Z as the face of the Nets, I feel a lot of young people will lean towards Brooklyn. However, most people in Brooklyn have always supported the Knicks. I'm interested to see how this plays out.

They gave me the discount. I got them down to $130 for the season. I couldn't get them any lower. And I got some movie channels for free for a few months out of it. I guess I'll take that as solace seeing as how I didn't get the $99 deal you did.

Gatsby looks like a rental. The Skyfall trailer was a letdown. Just play the Bond theme and show a lot of action. Bond hasn't been the same since Roger Moore left. Long live Roger Moore!

The History channel used to be one of my favorites. They have taken an elevator to hell the past few years with their programming. Ancient Aliens, Pawn Stars, etc... I go to National Geographic Channel or Discovery for shows the history channel used to offer. History should be showing all memorial day specials this weekend. Very sad.
