  1. I had Sheppard there at that exact pick but changed it at the last second.
  2. 1. Nick Fairley DT/DE Auburn 2. Anthony Castanzo OT Boston College 3. Bruce Carter OLB UNC 4. Colin Mcarthy IlB Miami 4. Lance Kendricks TE Wisc 5. Jalil Brown CB Colorado 6. BPA 7. BPA
  3. Sorry Beerball but that is 100% wrong. The tackle for loss stat is independent of sacks....so he had 35.5 stops behind the line.
  4. Wire really wasn't that good and has been playing backup linebacker/special teams for the falcons ever since.
  5. Not true they competed in the same amount of events. Dareus skipped the shuttle and the broad jump. Fairley opted not to lift and also skipped the shuttle. My link
  6. Yes, he played his best in the biggest games. When you rack up 24TFL and 11.5 sacks in a season you were pretty damn dominate all year long.

  8. http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/39883/is-fairley-being-fairly-evaluated Gotta say, I totally agree with this article. Its not Newton,Gabbert,Peterson,Dareus,Quinn, or Miller, the best player in this draft is Nick Fairley. He dominated college football last year and played his best in the biggest games of the year against the best competition. I believe he could def play 3-4 defensive end. When we do use our 4-3 defensive fronts can you imagine Fairley next to KW on passing downs? If we pass on Fairley for any player, I'll be pissed.
  9. I think if you want Sheppard you'd have to use the Rd 3 pick on him.
  10. Still want Fairley, he's still the best player in the draft IMO.
  11. How can you say that 3 is too high for a rush linebacker but 4-3 DE is a marquee position. If there is a Demarcus Ware/Clay Mathews type of player in the draft (Miller? Quinn?), I'd be happy taking them at 3. In all honesty I'll be happy with any of the following Fairley, Dareus, Jordan, Quinn, Miller.
  12. They are not completely different for the fact that in our defense they would be playing the same position most of the time. Yes Dareus would be more versatile because he could also move inside but for the most part I would still project him to play DE in a 3-4.
  13. Honestly there wasn't much separation all the guys who actually ran the shuttle (except for Clayborne and Watt who kicked everyone else's ass). His vertical leap was a lot better than Dareus's (who only jumped 27 inches).
  14. There are so many options at pick 3 that it makes my head spin some times but I really think one guy who gets overlooked is Cameron Jordan. With all the attention Dareus, Fairley, and Bowers get, Jordan arguably was the most impressive at the combine and he has great size, a giant wingspan, and huge hands. I know a lot of people's heads will explode if we passed up Fairley or Dareus and picked Jordan but I don't think its out of the realm of possibilities that he becomes the best D-lineman out of this great group. I'm a Fairley guy myself but I'm starting to warm up to the idea of taking Cameron Jordan at 3.
  15. Pretty sure this is what Sarah Connor was all worked up about.
  16. Are you referring to weed or all drugs?
  17. Jenkins and Woody would be worth a look IMO although Jenkins is always hurt.
  18. I was just about to post the same thing. This draft is loaded with talent on the D-line. I wouldn't mind grabbing two D-lineman back to back.
  19. The difference between Leif Larsen and Paea is Paea is actually a good football player in addition to being strong as hell.
  20. Ayers played OLB at UCLA but I think with his size he could move to the inside just fine, that being said I don't think he'll be around past pick 20. I'm not a Ponder guy (not that I don't like him just don't want to invest a 2-3 rd pick in the guy). Infact I'd rather just not draft a QB this year. I like the trade down scenario but I'd rather have something like this..... 5. Quinn/Dareus/Miller in that order (whoever is left, I'd put Fairley first but he will def be gone at 5). 34. Phil Taylor NT Baylor 38. Best OT or LB available.
  21. Way to base your argument off of one stat. Fitz played well last year and he's only going to improve with another year under Gailey. You do realize that he threw 7 less ints than did Drew Brees and 2 less than Peyton Manning.
