  1. I'm not trying to defend him because I think he's an idiot, but his wife is known to be as big of an idiot as he is. For all we know it could have been a heated argument that she just decided to take to a whole nother level.
  2. I watch a ton of college football and it still blows my mind how anyone could say Nick Fairley is not the best player in the draft. Its just my opinion but I think he is a STEAL at pick 3. 1. NICK FAIRLEY 2. BROOKS REED/PHIL TAYLOR/GABE CARIMI
  3. Holy Crap, this thread is hillarious. Some of you guys obviously have never seen this kid play. I'm a Mizzou alumn, I graduated in 2006. I've seen every snap (except for a few games that weren't on TV) that Gabbert has taken in college. Just a few things wrong in this thread: 1. The notion that Gabbert had "no talent around him" last year is crap. TJ moe is a damn good WR but hes a slot guy who reminds me of a poor mans Wes Welker. Wes Kemp and Jerrell Jackson both will probably make an NFL roster some day but they will be late draft picks or Free Agent signings. Egnew is one of the best receiving threats at TE in the nation. No, he did not have the same talent around him as Chase Daniel but there was a lot of talent on Mizzou's offense. Mizzou averaged 30 points a game last year for god's sake. 2. Gabbert is tough and is a good leader. The guy played the entire second half of 2009 on a wrecked ankle. His teamates loved him and TJ Moe even stated that nobody on the team worked harder than Blaine Gabbert. That is something you have to have in a QB IMO. 3. He is not a finished product. As much as I would love to say he is going to be the next Jim Kelly, to be honest I'm not sure. He needs to work on his footwork and become more accurate. For the most part he is pretty accurate, even on deep balls. Sometimes he will struggle with consistency....he'll have a great game where he looks like the next John Elway and then another where he looks average. I think he could flourish by working with someone like Gailey. He is NOT as good of a prospect as Sam Bradford but I think he has the potential to be a franchise QB. 4. Please don't bring up the yards/pass attempt stat. Anybody who watches Mizzou football knows that the run all types of bubble screnes and other short passes. Gary Pinkle has even been on record as saying he thinks of those types of plays as his "running plays". He is going to be a boom or bust pick just like Newton. Although I think he could be a Pro Bowl QB, he's not a sure thing to become one. IMO we should steer clear of a QB at 3.
  4. He chucked it deeep to Danario Alexander a lot in 2009.............. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTDP19DFQjk
  5. He'll be there tomorrow. He is traveling to Arizona via Miami. Even when flying Lee Evans does not go over the middle.
  6. Yeah there is and saying "there is now way" a guy who is projected to go late 1st happens to be there with the 2nd pick in the 2nd round is just dumb.
  7. This is what I don't get. I watched both Alabama and Auburn a lot last year and I don't ever remember being blown away by Dareus. Sure, he is the more versatile of the two and fits the 3-4 better but we do, and will continue to, play a lot of 4-3 fronts as well. That being said, when I watched Auburn it was clear to me in almost every game that Nick Fairley, not Cam Newton, was the most dominate player on Auburn (and maybe in the enitre country). The guy changed games last year and DOMINATED the best conference in football, Dareus....not so much. I'd take Fairley over Dareus without hesitation.
  8. Ha! Quad Graphics is a customer of mine. They better be paying me.
  9. Dude, Fairley did tear up the combine and then topped that with his pro day. He weighed in at 291 at the combine and 298 at his pro day. At least try and do some research instead of just throwing out some random BS.
  10. BEST PLAYER IN THE DRAFT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hAMHmbqybk
  11. You make it sound like he is falling out of the first round. He won't get past the top 5 and could still easily go in the top 3. I don't consider that falling. And how the hell do you know what anybody's board looks like? Its all smoke and mirrors at this point, nobody is going to tip their hand to another team.
  12. He came right out afterwards and claimed he was just joking. Fairley doesn't seem like a prima donna at all, rather a good kid who happens to play the game with one hell of a mean streak. He's the best player in the draft, way better than Dareus IMO and he would be an absolute steal at #3. Here's the video of him saying he doesn't want to play in the cold (minute 4). As you can see, it shouldn't have been made into the big deal it was: http://wkrg.com/a/1204035
  13. Anybody who says he is overated hasn't seen him play. He's the best player in the draft, he's much better than Dareus IMO and we'd be LUCKY to draft him at #3.
  14. How else should we convert to a 3-4 then? Nevermind, you beat me too it....makes no sense whatsoever.
  15. My Question is: Why the hell did he even run the 40? He had to know he was going to run somewhere around the time he did. He didn't do himself any favors with that 40 time, it was awful. Have you seen Mallett throw? Ok the guy has an absolute cannon, maybe even a bigger arm than any current NFL QB but he has a slow release. I sure as hell wouldn't call it the sweetest release I've ever seen, its slow. Couple a slow release with someone who is immoble as hell you have a recipe for a QB that will get sacked....a lot.
  16. Ok yeah I know he's old as hell and had the achillies a few years back but he really quietly had a hell of a year last year (border line pro bowl type stuff). I'm just saying, if we for some reason we don't draft an ILB high in the draft, I wouldn't mind having old 51 back in a Bills Uni for the next two years. Am I crazy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXekIhVoABY
  17. I own a Freight Brokerage and we also have 54 owner operators that run exclusively for our company. I just got awarded two contracts where I'll be sending a lot of trucks to two different areas in upstate NY....West Coxsackie and North Tonowanda. The only problem is that there isn't a whole lot of freight coming back out of those areas and for the last week or two I've had a lot of guys stuck up there. If any of you work in a shipping/transportation department for a company in upstate NY and might be able to help me out I'd really appreciate it. Hell, if you are in shipping/transportation anywhere in the country send me a PM, I'm always looking for new opportunities. Thanks in advance!
  18. The Jills should change uniforms this year too, this should be their new uni -------->
  19. Since there aren't a lot of youtube videos of Gabbert, you can see some of throws he can make in this highlight video of Danario Alexander in 2009 (Gabbert's Sophmore year, first year as a starter)....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTDP19DFQjk On a side note, I really wish we had of used a 7th round pick on Alexander last year. Even with all the knee surgeries, he's still a beast. Better than both AJ Green and Julio Jones IMO.
  20. I don't know how you can say Peterson has no technique, he's a great prospect. That being said, I'll be pissed off if we take him and don't go D-line. This is the best D-line class in a long time. If we pass on Fairley or Dareus, I will be irate. I'm not sold on Kapernick either.
