While I don't think Cuse is going to win it all, I imagine many records like this will change in the coming years. The new Big East Tourney format almost favors the middle seeds as they get a warm up game against a scrub while the higher seeds have to sit on their hands. Not to mention the gap between the #1 seed and the #8 seed in the Big East is miniscule. I believe almost all those seeds were ranked at one point in the season.

I never wanted the ranking. It leads to inflated ego's and headline reading. The team is good but I think a lot of their energy early in the season stemmed from a lack of respect nationally. Of course, they haven't lost many since their escalation into the top ranks but I'm always leery of my favorite teams receiving too much praise. I like this SU team more than any I can remember. Scoop seems like the only semi-non-likeable player. He's got a little thug in him not to mention Devendorf-like decision making at times. The team as a whole seems like a good group of guys that really like playing for/with one another. Here's to hoping they make a serious NCAA Tournament run!!!

While Walter's story was touching, he was being completely unreasonable about picking up the papers in 40 mph wind. As someone who works 2 jobs 70 hours a week, I felt little sympathy for her. We all have struggles, deal with it. Her boss at the High Acres facility didn't seem particularly excited to give her the promotion the COO was puching for. Perhaps her boss that works with her on a daily basis knows something that the COO doesn't...

I could be wrong but I thought I heard Boeheim laud his team with praise, telling analysts this years team is better than last years on several occassions. I believe you are referring to his post game comments, which are always somewhat negative of his team.
