I just can't get too excited about this...

Had one Sautrday night!

It was nice to see the previously (before Melo) maligned Boeheim reach such a milestone. As far as the game goes: Rick Jackson is the team's best big man. He might be the team's best player. He has much better hands and feet than Anuaku. Wesley Johnson filled the stat sheet, much like Harris, with 12pts 8rbs 6asst 4stls. He's a player. Brandon Triche is going to frustrate many a fan this year. He'll be okay in time, but his decision making is frightening. Mookie Jones is not a division 1 athlete. Too stiff in the neck, head, shoulder area. I can't imagine him on the team next year with the recruiting class coming in. Deshonte Riley looks promising but I'm wondering if he's going to go the route of Sean Williams and leave the team because he's not going to get much PT. Kris Joseph looks like he might be a player. If he takes that next step, this team could reak some havoc this year. Andy Rautins needs to find his stroke, soon. Scoop Jardine may end up getting more PT than Triche. Much better decision maker and the team seems to flow better with him. Not sure if they are a tournament team. Lots of questions...

MIKE VICK IN BUFFALO.....WHAT???? No, not right now
inkman replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Apparently you don't know the psyche of the average Bills fan. -
Except he wasn't welcome back...as was discussed in this thread.

I've heard the same thing. Neither Harris nor Devo made any attempt at being good students or good citizens. I also think Jimmy needed to make scholarship room for Riley/Johnson/Southerland, but I'm not sure on the details with scholarships and how many can be offered/used. Agreed! What makes you think Joseph sucks? Athletic, rangey, decent shooter; seems like the kind of player UConn and Nova have had in droves recently. I'm not too optimistic about Riley and Jones but right now they look like 9/10 on the depth chart. Like I said earlier, Cuse has known commodities in Jackson, Rautins, and Onuaku. If Triche, Jardine and maybe most importantly Wesley Johnson can step up this team might be dangerous. From all reports, the sky is the limit for Johnson. Super athlete with a polished game. I'm looking forward to watching this group. It was difficult to root for 8-mile and the 6'3" power forward last year.

Your kidding right? While they were above average college players, neither is half the player Flynn is, which is obvious because he's the only one pulling a paycheck right now. I think the team has the potential for a deep tourney run if Triche and Jardine step up. Rick Jackson, Arinze Onuaku, Wesley Johnson, Andy Rautins, James Southerland, Kris Joseph, Deshonte Riley, Mookie Jones along with the aforementioned guards has the potential to be the deepest squad Boeheim has ever had.

This as well: Here's the word on about Mike Williams from a source that can confirm nor deny this: Saturday night after the Cincinnati loss, Coach Marrone indicated that he wanted all the players to stay on campus that evening. Well allegedly, Williams went out with some friends to the Turning Stone casino(35 minute drive from Syracuse). Apparently, while out at the casino, his "entourage" was in a minor traffic accident, and that it had appeared that a few people in that vehicle had been drinking. When Coach Marrone got word of what happened, he was apparently incensed & planned to suspend Williams for a second time this year for breaking team rules. (His 1st suspension was for the Akron game a couple of weeks ago, allegedly for failing to show up for class. He was also kicked out of school in June 2008 for academic fraud after getting caught cheating twice.) And when told of his possible suspension, Williams allegedly told Coach Marrone to "F" off & said that he quit. If that's true, then he gets whatever he deserves. Moron.

Lest we not forget USC's Mike Williams, the other loser with that moniker.

No but this level of desertion on his behalf is nearly unprecedented by a sure fire draft pick. He could have left the team for personal reasons without "leaving the program". You have to think the kid is just not in a good place mentally. If he had put any thought into this decision, it could have went a hundred different ways. You have to wonder who his support system is. We all have family & friends we use to help with tough times and difficult decisions. Where was his? It's very hard to understand.
-
He's a senior, his eligibility has expired. He's declaring for the draft. He only had to play football another month before he would have been a first day pick, now you have to wonder if he'll get drafted at all. It makes you wonder what the hell is going on in the kids life.

Reasons not cited. Anyone have a clue?

Time Warner charges ~ $20 buck a month per. It's killing me. One for the living room, one for the basement, one for my brother, one for the bar. I have two housemates, so the TV time is a premium. Working 75 hours a week, you'd think I could get the 5 or 6 hours I'd like to watch TV to myself but my housemates are among the biggest couch potatoes there are. Luckily I get rent from them every month.

That article is 3 years old. Here is a decent and up to date site. It may not change your point, but the Sabres have spent money recently, with the players you've named above as the best examples.

What do you do with Lalime? Send him down to Portland while paying him his NHL salary (although it won't count against the cap)? Buy him out at 2/3 his deal, spreading the cap hit over the next 2 years? Making a trade for Marty isn't as simple as do the Sabres want to get him.
-
You do realize they are almost against the cap ceiling?

I think Jay-Z has carried the rap scene with some accord. His flow may not be to the level of Tupac and Biggie but the way he's evolved over the years has been intriguing. I like the live stuff and using of actual instruments he's been doing lately. Very tastey!

I just picked up my 4th HD DVR for my house which runs my Time Warner Cable bill up to $150 a month minus road runner. Looking for some input from posters who have other services. Here are my needs: Sabres games, HD channels, multiple HD DVR's.

Why, yes, yes she was.

Where to watch the Sabres game tonight..
inkman replied to Quester74's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Did you end up watching the game? I'm sure Pelican's would have had the game on if you requested it, or possibly without requesting it. Not sure if I'd want my wife going to a Halloween Party at a bar without me, I guess you know who she's going home with. Hopefully she didn't enjoy any dick in a box costumes. -
An additional year under contract, but at this point it's all moot. "Saving" him for next year, when he's arguably the best D man on the team, would obviously be stupid. He's already contributing to W's, sending him down may actually add a few L's to the team's record.

Can someone explain to me why it looks like she put on 75 lbs in some of those photos? A couple of them she looks okay, the rest, she's a cow.
