Couldn't agree more. The Bills holding all 3 of those teams to 110-130 yards on the ground apiece is a tremendous stat. (Holding KC to it won't look that impressive by the end of the year with their RB out for 14 games but it was impressive as well.) I also think that the yardage and points put up against Oakland will look a lot more impressive by the time the season is done. If the Bills win this Sunday, and I expect them to win, I'm revising my prediction from 6-10 to 10-6 at a minimum. I'm really looking forward to this game to see how Chan gets them to prepare for a game they SHOULD win. I'm expecting him and the team to pass the test. These guys were entertaining to watch last year, now they're winning and entertaining. It's a good combination. If they can stay healthy that should continue.

A difference between Chan and Dick

Assuming this is sarcasm, if not, is that you Mrs. Jauron? Jauron is a good coach for very bad football teams. His extremely conservative gameplans give bad teams a chance to keep the game close against most opponents. He can get 3-13 teams up to 6-10 (7-9 even). But his poor gameday decision making and his conservative gameplans do not allow good teams to get past mediocre (without a ton of breaks falling his way). 7-9 with extremely non-entertaining games for the most part is his legacy. -
We have a winner. Elmo's in Getzville are solid as well.

What's the Difference between 2008 and 2011?
Taro T replied to Sniper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are a ton of differences between '08 & '11. As someone else mentioned earlier one of the biggest is no Dick !@#$ing Jauron. Another big one is having a front office with a plan that follows the plan. That combination leads to many of the other differences. -
Belichick's sportsmanship (or lack their-of)
Taro T replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After a replay that overturns a call, the conditions revert to what they would have been without the missed call. Had they ruled Freddie down at the 1, the clock would have run off :40 so that's what it should have been set to. -
The past few years, it seemed like the Bills were due to give up ~10 long runs per game, at least 5 of which came after a missed tackle. This year there've been a handful of long runs but there have been very few broken tackles. I'm ecstatic about how well the run D has played. Looking forward to seeing how the D does this weekend against a team without a top rushing / overall attack.

Belichick's sportsmanship (or lack their-of)
Taro T replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Belicheat was arguing that the playclock should be set at 25 when they started it up rather than the standard 40 due to the official's timeout. When he realized it would be set at 40, he took the timeout. -
When I read the title to this thread I thought you were talking about the amputee soldier that died at Darien Lake this summer riding the Man of Steel.

Accused death row inmate Troy Davis is denied clemency

Without 'know(ing) the details of the case' the only item on that list that 'makes the state of Georgia look pretty backwards' is that former President Jimmy Carter was former Georgia Governor Jimmy Carter prior to becoming former President Jimmy Carter. -

While that would have made more sense, aussiebills did get Berman's quote correct.

And if those damn Republican Indians would have just given him a bit more time to implement it, he'd've been successful w/ it too.

Republicans who think the Stimulus didn't work are wrong
Taro T replied to /dev/null's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Until it is shown that the Republicans will nominate a viable candidate, the Prez has a realistic shot of getting re-elected. If they nominate Bachmann or another candidate w/ 0 executive experience, a re-election becomes very possible. If Christie were to run w/ Rubio as his running mate, Mr. Obama could be looking at a Mondale-like showing. -
Shouldn't Conservatives Be Cheering?

The sun came up this morning as well. Some things can be safely relied upon to occur more or less daily, the bolded is one of them. -
They are available. They were disk 2 of the "Widescreen Limited Edition" DVD's of the enhanced versions of those movies. The problem is, they're not at the same quality level as the enhanced versions (letterboxed to a standard TV picture and Dolby 2.0 - basically they're digital copies of those VHS releases so the quality is far higher than VHS, but it should be higher quality than it is).

Didn't he call them Ewoks? Hadn't heard that about Sir Alec, but I did hear that Harrison Ford wanted Han killed off in Episode VI and Lucas would hear nothing of it.

Wouldn't Bruce DeHaven seen an ability to play special teams if he had any?

Can a bust on one team be a star on another?
Taro T replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really? He had 1 great run in the playoffs against NO, but he'd been pretty disappointing other than that last year. Has he been looking better this preseason? -
If so, either he's swapped code cards w/ somebody outside the blackout area, has DTV believing he lives outside the blackout zone, or he's damn lucky that somebody at DTV made an error. Whichever the reason he's not blacked out, I would recommend he not point out to DTV that he isn't. Everyone in Syracuse & west, and Erie & north is supposed to be blacked out. (Not sure if Elmira gets blacked out or not.)
-
Except it doesn't anymore. Those 7 or so houses and 1 restaurant were reclassified as belonging the the Ra-cha-cha market back w/in a year or 2 of the AFC contract going to CBS. Ralph basically said he didn't care, they were still Syracuse, and there would be no lifting of the blackout for the Syracuse market.

Labor Secretay proudly displays American Auto Workers

What's wrong w/ her celebrating a North American made car? The UAW does have chapters in Canada, you know. Amateur hour appears to roll on w/ no abatement. At least this administration is consistent. -

Can a bust on one team be a star on another?
Taro T replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't that one end up before an arbitrator w/ the NFLPA taking the Colts' side and the league agreeing w/ the Bills? IIRC the arbitrator ruled in favor of the Colts and then the league changed the rule to keep other teams from getting screwed the same way. -
Can a bust on one team be a star on another?
Taro T replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kelly, the league let it go, because they hadn't specifically had a rule against it in the Wolford case. They also immediately changed the rule so that particular loophole was closed afterwards. Which really sucked for the Bills, because Wolford was playing like a HoFer to that point of his career and Fina, while serviceable, was never close to Wolford talentwise. -
