  1. Those games were single events..look at the 6 games after the bye and this team is on the right track. Yes, like the girl you grew up with, we know all the blemishes and the defense is a big old blemish, but they continue to stay close. The Bills of the past few years were front runners; get a lead and then find a way to lose. This team has the confidence to overcome being behind by 10 late in Balt or throwing a heart breaking interception very late against Pitt and still getting to OT. I know they didn't win either game, my point is that previously they would have folded.
  2. The best scenario for me is beating the Pats* and Jets so we put the Jets on top of the division or even home field advantage through playoffs then we take it away in week 17 in NY. I would then call this the best season in a long time.
  3. 100% correct. I just watched the 30 minute replay, yes the 4th time and the defense was playing much faster. I also saw some very nice work from Moats and Coleman, both seemed to get penetration on passing plays and Moats on 2 plays held the edge so a corner could come up and make the tackle. Finally, the favorite whipping boy Kelsay was the only end getting pressure on the QB. Not sure if it was all defensive improvement or it was mixed with Detroit suckiness.
  4. According to this article it sounds like they are not even close to selling out and have trouble the rest of the year. Would be nice to hear more chears for the Bills on the road! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81c3599b/article/bengals-sellout-streak-might-end-at-57-jags-given-extension?module=HP_headlines
  5. He is not 1st round, but I think he should be much higher on the list.
  6. That sounds like my response when the guys are going to do something I am not crazy about! In other words, I would go if you could guarantee me a great time and no jail time! Now to translate to Luck " I will come out if you guarantee me number one and a lot of cash!."
  7. Jimbo is that you? Settle down, just easier to smack Harbaugh again if he is in town!
  8. About 2 years ago directv sent me a small card with a "special" 800# for being a loyal customer. I never wait with that number and I know if they can ID your phone number and you are a long term customer they bump you ahead of others in queue. I will not even share my special number with family.
  9. I thought so, my sites are all on auto renew annually. If this was the Bills this board would light up with how incompetent the org is. Hard to believe the Cowboys have saved us from laughing stock status!
  10. Could someone else purchase the domain prior to Boys renewing? If yes, would have been great and profitable to buy and direct at the Bills site.
  11. I have had Directv for 11 years and the HD receivers are not much different than a PC. Every once in a while I restart the sucker to insure smooth sailing and I have had very few problems. I usually notice the receiver responding slowly to the remote control first and that is my signal to reset. Also, as a call center guy, it is impossible to responsibly staff a center in anticipation of a possible non-event. That would be very costly to the organization, especially if the issue is SD from local TV. That said, better upfront messaging outlining what your CSRs are hearing about problems you can't fix would help.
  12. As a matter of fact Fox played very few replays all day..I kept yelling at the TV looking for the replay and wound up rewinding at least 8-10 times so I could see it myself. I have the screen frozen on this play right now and I am trying to figure out how to get a snap shot on the PC. The ball hits the ground. I never have to rewind the DVR while watching on CBS.
  13. He will only be back if the Bills are under new management.
  14. This game is obviously hard for everyone to grasp...my DirecTv guide lists the game as Bills @ Bears on channel 708...that may actually be more acurrate since this feels like an away game.
  15. Can someone explain the records in the topic and the date for the game is not correct.
  16. You have hit the nail on the head with this line...Edwards got another chance because Gaily saw a bad scheme last year and hoped he could fix Trent..after 2 games he saw enough.
  17. Ummm, where do I say the Bills will win? The point is they are not a great 4-2 team so the Bills have a more realistic opportunity.
  18. The Chiefs are just like the Bills a few years back when they started out 5-1; the Bills got there by beating bad teams and this year KC is no different. Their 4 wins are against 4 teams that have 8 total combined wins and their 2 loses are against the only 2 winning teams they have faced. I know the Bills have a losing record, but the point is the Cheifs have improved, but they are not the Colts or Patriots. They can be beaten!
  19. I know the Bills lost yesterday, but Kirwin sees better things on the horizon for our team.."The Bills defense, now in a 4-3 scheme rather than the 3-4 they started the season in, will get better in the next few weeks." I know I feel a little better this morning. Besides all the great stats, when was the last time you saw the Bills get the ball inside the 10 yard behind by 3 with about 3 minutes left and drive into field goal range with several key plays and then make a 50 yard field goal! Here is the complete article (Bills are #3): http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81b9a6f0/article/offenses-pay-the-price-for-putting-ball-in-the-air
  20. Actually i believe fuzzy math = math that was too complicated for most to understand and Obamanonics = math that doesn't exist. In the end neither one is able to not end in negative numbers.
  21. That's funny...I used to work for an older guy and he referred to his computer, which was never turned on, as the "tube." He did everything via paper memo and used intercompany mail to deliver it, even if you are in the same building!
  22. I agree..in a few weeks he will go on injured reserve.
  23. Probably will not find a better player but there is a recent trend with the Bills transactions lately: Anderson added to the practice squad then Marshawn traded and Anderson added to active roster. Wrotto added to practice squad Meredith cut Wrotto added to active roster. Bills practice squad addition today? Ra'Shon Harris DE! And no McCargo on depth chart at NFL.COM
  24. Just for information..Polian was promoted in Dec. 1985 and the Bills record was 4-12 in 1986 with Jim Kelly at QB. While it may be hard for this group to win 4 games they do not have Kelly and Bruce Smith. Take a look at Polian's Wikipedia Bills section (sound familiar?)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Polian This quote stood out as relevant to today: "We were 2-14 on merit--we have the worst personnel in the NFL." I am not saying Nix=Polian I am saying he deserves some time
  25. Very well said..let me add that if you use the logic we should keep him because of his one time draft value..then you must also think we should have kept Hardy and should keep Maybin. The major differences with Lynch and Maybin at this point are: 1) Lynch is productive and Maybin is not 2) Lynch could be replaced 3)Lynch has trade value. I think Maybin gets a pass because there is very little competition at his position and with the Moats injury it only helps Maybin hang on. Unless Maybin catches on fire he is gone next year.
