  1. So if TE plays well and there are some victories, does that say he developed? the team improved? or good coaching was the diffrenence? Could be a combonation of the choices. I think I will go crazy if TE and Evans have great years, because to me that indicates how bad previous coaching was. This means we wasted time with the previous staff and all we gained was the ability to identify poor coaching.
  2. I saw it and Dukes keeps going down the Jason Campbell path...blah blah blah..he is not an improvement over our current situation. Bottom line for me is no the Bills are not going to the Super Bowl, but they won 6 games last year and they were really bad offensively..any improvement is worth a win or two and while tackle is a problem it was last year. So to here mostly Dukes rant about how little was done and how bad the Bills will be makes no sense unless they absolutely can not perform in the 3-4 and the defense is horrible. But that is not what he states he says we didn't address tackle or QB which is correct, but I don't how that makes us worse than last year.
  3. As a mathmatics and business analyst I can tell you there are variables not taken into account the single biggest may be down and distance. So how many times did Bell face a long yardage 2nd or 3rd down allowing the defensive player to have an advantage by ruling out a running play. Bottom line is the Bills do not know what they have in any of the individuals on the team because the collective team has been horrible. If you put even a great player in enough difficult situations he is bound to fail more than a peer on a better team.
  4. So let me get this straight..Ralph flew to the Cayman Islands to do banking? He must have some hefty ATM fees!
  5. Let's clarify..he said Martz would join the Jets to replace BS.. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-tota...ound-the-League
  6. Please vote for Andre at: http://www.fanschoice.com/vote.aspx...This is a fan vote only, but if he has a strong showing it might help. You have to look for himhe is candidate #13.
  7. Correct, but Brohm=Hope for 2010, why play him behind this line, there is little to gain but a lot to lose. I personally believe that is what they are doing with Trent also. They put him on a shelf and will take him down next year to compete. At this point Fitz is the QB with the least upside.
  8. Or Ron Rivera current DC in San Diego..does not develop a QB, but facilitates change in defense..
  9. Doesn't the fact that the Packers tried to keep him mean they like him better than the current number 3 guy? I mean if he had accepted the offer he would go on the active roster and a QB would be released unless, Flynn would have been put on the practice squad.
  10. Same here, watched the game last night was very excited. For a while I was worried I brought my bad Bills mojo with me and it was impacting the Colts!
  11. "Seriously, do these shades make me look like the Terminator?"
  12. I think I also have to add the fact that I (and, I'm sure, MOST of the 0ver-21-Crowd on this forum) are usually half in the bag by the 4:00 game. Even with big-screen HDTV, I just miss a lot more "Xs" and "Os". Great point! I am usually napping by 4:15pm. Of course that could be the result of the previous 3 hours of torture watching the Bills, they do wear you out.
  13. The game is on NFL network live at 7pm next week. Usually the WKBW braodcast is carried in Rochester and Syracuse.
  14. The Bills can avoid the blackout situation by eliminating 7,000 seats making capacity 67,000. Get rid of the upper level corners and the top of the upper level. Ralph can keep the revenue per game the same by simply increasing ticket prices $5 per seat. ( That will cost me $30 per game) Here is the math: 7000 less seats @$40 per = 280,000 Tickets in this area may be less. 2333 less cars parked ( I figured 3 per car) = 34,995 This assumes all 2333 would have parked in a Bills lot. Total direct lost revenue = 314,995 Added revenue from $5 increase for 67,000 = 335,000 This could also come from increases to luxury prices/license Added revenue = 20,005 helps for lost concession sales Also, with a 10% reduction in patrons the Bills should be able to reduce some game day employees ( Not at the ticket windows) Now if they have a problem selling the 67,000 we have a problem.
  15. I was just on the NFL.com web site checking out next week's schedule and it states a game will be moved to 8:15 pm. Did I miss the announcement and the NFL didn't update the schedule? Or have they really not decided which game to move?
  16. The Albany Bills backers meet at O'toole's on Central Ave. I have never been there, so enter at your own risk.
  17. You are correct. You see these are the same people who truly believe Jim Kelly turned the franchise around and think that is how we fix the current problems. Not the fact that Jim plus about 25 other very good players turned things around. Jim was the cover boy and a very important piece, but so were Thurman, Bruce, Andre, Biscuit..... Bottom line is the grass is always greener!
  18. What a shock, Shalala and a statement with no substance. I believe the plan is speak out strong, but with little action. Same old stuff from her only now she is a University Pres. Mike & Mike had her on and they are talking about the fact she has not even reviewed the tape. She tried to mis-represent that she had reviewed the tape, but they called her on it since she stated yesterday she did not. I know they set her up and Fox News is responsible.
  19. 5. JP Losman showed promise through Week 4, but has gotten progressively worse ever since. I realize that he played a tough Bears defense but he did much worse than any other QB that the Bears have faced. Chicago's opposing QB rating is in the 60's. JP's QB rating in that game against the Bears was in the 30's. The Lions pass defense is awful. Where's JP's excuse there? Of course there are other factors that go into JP's play such as pass protection and rushing. As for the QB rating against Chicago, take a look at Matt Hasselback's numbers, QB rating of 39.7 and he is an eight year veteran on the defending NFC Champs. The point is the flow of the games were very similiar, both teams behind early in Chicago and they started to throw too much. The Detroit game, IMHO, the whole team looked like they had a Chicago hangover until halftime. JP's confidence seemed shaken until he put some things together and stopped trying too hard. This was a team loss and for the first time this year this team resembled last years and that scares me.
  20. The easiest way to spot the difference is the size label, if the size is in XL, XXL, etc. not authentic if the sizes are numbers 54, 56, 58, etc. you have the real deal.
  21. I was in Disneyworld at the ESPN club at the end of August and saw Daryl and Lonnie Johnson doing a radio show with Frank Viola. We had a Bills backpack hanging on my daughters stroller next to the table and when the show was over they stopped by and said hello because they saw the Bills bag. Both of them seemed fine and Daryl was walking OK. I got them to sign an ESPN shirt and I bought them both a drink, unfortunately Lonnie dropped his.[All true except Lonnie didn't drop his drink, the waitress just never looked his way.]
  22. Same with me. For those of you looking for a place to go the Bills Backers have a pretty good arrangement with the teletheater on Central Ave. in Albany.
