We could both go on and on about financial mismanagement for just about every city and town in the country. And while that is an issue, it really isn't the point. Plus it gets us more towards a PPP post, which I certainly don't want to do. So to keep this on track about Stadium Funding and the possibilities... The money is there, even if it is being mismanaged. Funny yall talk about "bringing the rest of the state down with it", when NYS has one of the largest economies in the country (only behind CA and TX), mostly due to NYC. And NYS pays $26B more in Federal taxes than it receives in Federal aid. Whereas most other states receive more than they pay. So I'm still not buying that money isn't there, or can't be found. Heck, NYS could hold back a couple Billion of that and still contribute $24B to the US, and totally fund the stadium build. The money is there. Don't be fooled.

Offensive Slump: Josh Allen vs Brian Daboll
DrDawkinstein replied to elijah's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
7 bad passes doesnt sound like much, until you see his stat line of 17/33 for 179yds. (I wont 7 bad passes is over 20% of all attempts. It's one thing to do it against a crappy Miami team where we can make up for it on the ground and rely on our Defense. But that won't hold up against the other top teams in the league. Josh is in a slump. There is no denying it. His mechanics and footwork have regressed for seemingly no reason (he isnt under any more pressure this year than he was last year). He is not seeing open guys, or back to locking into his primary target before the snap even happens. I fully believe he will play his way out of it and get it right. And probably pretty soon. But it is a real thing, and worth discussing. Even if we did win the last game 35-0. -
No. He's simply a rookie game manager with a good defense. I worry more about the Pats defense, with the returning opt-out players, than their rookie QB.

Was Very Happy with Dion Dawkins on Sunday
DrDawkinstein replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Playing in the heat for the entire game was more of a test than going up against the Dolphins DEs. Glad his conditioning held up for the game. Definitely a step in the right direction. Sunday will be a much tougher test but in easier conditions. -
Will the WFT game sell out despite new jab policy?
DrDawkinstein replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We're already past the Pittsburgh game. Maybe Pats and Jets fans who usually show up as it is. Who else from our remaining home schedule has fans that travel? -

And I'll be travelling from GA to fully enjoy the game Sunday! Well as much as I can without (future Hall of Famer) Ryan Fitzpatrick playing.... -
Will the WFT game sell out despite new jab policy?
DrDawkinstein replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Erie County is 65% vaccinated (NYS 70%). That is 2 vaccinated people for every unvaccinated person. That means there are at least 1400 fans waiting to replace those 700 (if not more like 14,000). The ideas that there are equal "sides" to this, and that this policy is affecting a lot of people, and that the Bills will have trouble filling the stands, is laughable. -
New arena in Tempe - Bills should follow this model
DrDawkinstein replied to CountDorkula's topic in Off the Wall
So what? I think youre spending a little too much time thinking about this non-issue. Dont ever follow the example of the Arizona Coyotes, no matter the sport. My complete statement on the matter. -
America, 2021. Where you can trick anyone to do anything by simply telling them to do the opposite, and watch them exercise their right to be contrarian.

In Hockey terms, since they would be following the example of another Hockey team. -
Kurt Warner break down of Josh vs Pittsburgh week 1
DrDawkinstein replied to ILBillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any gems in here that we don't already know and are ready to move on from? Or is he just going to re-explain to me that Pitt rushed 4, dropped 7, and Allen stunk? -

While the Pegula's tenure hasnt been exactly 5-star, I dont think they should look to one of the few ownership groups who might be even worse as a guiding light on how to manage a multi-Billion-dollar investment. -
Yep. AFC Champ and SB are the only wins left that warrant greeting the team at the airport.

What NFL player do you associate with a college?
DrDawkinstein replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in Off the Wall
UCLA - Aikman Miami - Ray Lewis Notre Dame - Mike Golic, lol Ole Miss - Eli USC - Reggie Bush/Matt Leinhart -
Rousseau has been a MONSTER. I also (barely) noticed that Jaelan Phillips, the higher drafted DE from the U, was on the field Sunday. But didnt make nearly as much an impact as Rousseau.

How Much Will Epenesa Get Fined?
DrDawkinstein replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are right that in 2020, this would have been called a penalty. That was last year. The good news is, the NFL seems to have moved on from this arbitrary call which the refs kept screwing up in order to control the game, and have moved to over-flagging Taunting as this year's annoying "Point of Emphasis". They move it every year to a new, bull#### penalty so teams can't get ahead of the curve, and the refs can still inject themselves into the game, and be a deciding factor when they shouldnt be. -
How I would fix the passing game. [LAMP]
DrDawkinstein replied to Marvlevydraftdaygenius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd also run Allen a couple times early as well. Let him take a couple of manageable hits to calm him down and get him settled into the game. I know folks hate this idea, but it seems to have more upside than risk as long as he can just take what they give him and then get down or out of bounds. -

DrDawkinstein replied to Marvlevydraftdaygenius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. Occam's Razor. The simplest answer is usually correct. Come out and run the ball aggressively. Let the OL take it to the DL for a little bit, get them on their heals, make them run sideline to sideline, then go to play action passes. Really isn't that complicated or difficult. And we already saw the immediate benefit that comes with a merely half-assed threat of a running game against Miami as compared to Pittsburgh. -
Texans: Dumbest Coaching Decision Ever?
DrDawkinstein replied to BillsShredder83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are assuming the Texans Brass wants to win games this year, and not tank to get a top pick so they can grab a new QB.
