You think NO has a stacked roster with depth at every position? Or all/any of those teams?
Even Tampa and the Rams have holes on their roster. Some even at starting spots (Rams LBs).
You cant stack an entire roster. You just cant. It's a give and take. And teams with Franchise QBs have to give more than they take.
Get used to the new normal.
Read what room? This message board?!? They better not.
You know the old saying. "Once you start listening to the fans, you'll be sitting with them".
For as disappointed as I am with the news today as a fan, they better not make any moves just to make me(us) "happy".
That's what it's like having a successful team. I know it's a new feeling for most of us, but we're going to have to get used to it.
We have a true franchise QB and he is getting paid like one. Cap space is at a premium, and we will rely far more on draft picks and low tier FAs, than any big splash signings.
This could be said for pretty much all the announcements made over the past 2-3 days. They do it for views and clicks, and because ALL of us fans hang on every refresh.
So far, this year. But it does happen. And it's nothing against the Bills.
I mean, we all know this 3 day tampering period isnt anything official until the league year technically starts today.
NONE of the reported agreements this week are official signings until this afternoon. Any and all of them can change.
What's to spin? It's McK's choice. Everyone involved kows Buffalo is the superior team and franchise, but that is just one of many factors for players.
I think its as simple as not wanting to move and get acclimated to a new organization if the money is the same.
People dont like change. It's human nature. We're more likely to stick with a known quantity even if it is a lesser choice.
I can see it playing out like that. And out of our combine meetings, it looks like Cameron Jurgens from Nebraska would meet the G/C criteria and be available in the 3rd (or possibly even later).
To the PPP!
But this was never a real threat. No way do the other scientists leave him behind regardless of what the countries on Earth are doing. And he'll come down with the rest of them in Kazakhstan, where he will be returned home.
Plus Russia already backtracked on this and said they would not strand him.
This story is like a week old, and already changed.
Me too. The game is won and lost in the trenches and our DTs havent exactly been stout (outside of Ed turning it on).
And a good DL will make the DBs that much better by forcing the ball out under duress.
Best to build from the inside-out. Good work, Beane.
Let's be real here. It's #2CB, #3WR, #3LB, #2TE, and #2QB. Could even argue #2 or #3 DE.
No major holes, and we even have guys who could fill some of those roles on the roster already. We're just lacking in depth.
I dont like being pigeon-holed into having to pick for a specific position in Round 1, and I dont think Beane does either. Although maybe they think/know/realize that the best value at #25 will likely be a CB anyways.
