Roll Call - Who would have preferred to lose?
Meathead replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i would still love to be able to draft luck so in a way i would have preferred a loss but this team is showing strong signs that it is both well coached and falling into their systems. even the defense, which has been hampered all season with bad lbs and a mostly out of position dline, is playing very solid even though their front seven still is not the configuration you want - which to me shows they are playing fundamentally and functioning much more as a unit. the frequent switch bad to the 4-3 helps a lot too contrast that with how carolina is playing and the only way this bills team outloses them now (even before todays game) would be a total and stunning reversal of progress theyve made. other than a string of key and unending injuries it seems impossible these bills could play consistently horrendous enough to overtake carolina so other than against the cheats/jets i will still hope the bills play hard, make some great plays, take it down to the wire, almost win, and then dont. theyve still made and probably will still continue to make great progress regardless of record so all things considered id rather have as many one-more-slot-higher draft picks we can get theyll probably end up with three or four wins which is the 2-5 pick anyway. you should get a blue chipper somewhere in there so as long as they dont pull off too many wins they should be fine regardless -
ive never in my life seen a team able to run the ball with five second left and get a timeout before time expired. doesnt seem possible. a ref has to blow the whistle AAAND another ref has to be standing right next to somebody ready to acknowledge a timeout call. again, i dont even know how thats possible

CJ Spiller calling Ricky Sapp a...
Meathead replied to WordByrd's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
maybe he knows something about sapp not that theres anything wrong with that -
are you kidding? of course people were calling for his benching. not only that, because he was throwing a pretty good number of picks early on lots of people were saying he couldnt and wouldnt adapt to the nfl and better dbs compared to the usfl i mean kelly did struggle badly at times early on, but it was pretty obvious pretty quickly he could play. it was a bad bad team and he tried to do all of it by himself, which rarely works esp a new qb in a new league. he didnt really win people over until his last play dive in the ez to beat the fish, after that it was all downhill ... uphill ... eh whichever hill is better

Lindell needs to be accountable
Meathead replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ty oh wait a minute, i mean LINDELL SUX!!!!! gotta have somebody to hate and with kelsay having another strong game since going back to DE i gotta find another white guy to pour my transferred hate upon -
um mcflys ... watch the play again johnson is lined up outside the TE, at the snap the TE sprints right. S Scott is on him, but CB McDumbass also goes with him. you can see poz look at the RB first, which makes sense, but he sees that Johnson is uncovered so he takes him it appears pretty clear to me that Scott/McMoron screwed up their coverages, not poz. mostly likely it was McStupidasshit, but Scott could also have passed the TE off to McDainBramaged and taken Johnson himself. in any event, im sure the d was not designed for poz to cover a WR, its just that he saw nobody was and did what he had to do but when theres a mental breakdown in coverage like that im always going to look first at the guy with the cold cranking brain power of a pickled turnip

i would strongly consider doing something like this if it could keep the team here but i have two difficult observations that need to be considered: - why would a new owner accept responsibility for a loan to the fans? even if it was zero interest its still another obligation they dont have to endure if they just move the team. seems like this would only be helpful to someone already wanting to keep the team here, which in that case might make it easier for jimbo to realize his dream. but for other owners whatever advantage it provides quickly vanishes when compared to the added income potential of another host city. also, local revenue without future obligation could be generated simply by selling inscribed bricks like theyve done at other new stadiums (wouldnt need a new stadium, just a new walkway or something). i suppose they could do both, but then you run the risk of giving fans an emotional 'out' (the rationale that i did one so i dont need to do the other) - how does this improve the luxury box issue? the bills must find a way to get their boxes full and at high prices to remain viable. this could help with the initial ownership transfer and potentially delay the box issue if enough money was raised, but sooner or later those boxes have to be filled. a new owner will be acutely aware of that, so other than somebody with a vested interest in keeping the team here at almost all costs will not find this initiative helpful with that huge problem looming long term
