I have not been a Mac Jones fan or Alabama QBs generally. No idea how he will turn out, but he looked better than I expected. Now folks like Collingsworth anointing him as a God is absurd, but he played well last night.

There has not been a really good QB out of Alabama since Ken Stabler. Before that, Joe Namath. The current NFL Alabama grad QBs are going against the last 40 years of history.

God there are a lot of weenies on this board. I mean dribbling down you leg at this point about Josh Allen is pathetic. Really sickening.

A Few Thoughts about the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
Casey D replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure thing. Basically he said you should not measure the Miami game for Allen based on his stats. He thought Allen played a very strong game, and took what the defense was giving him. He said teams are scheming to stop the Bills big play offense from 2020, and the Bills are adjusting accordingly. Overall QB rating based on Kubiak's system was quite good. He liked the five Allen throwaways on busted plays as Allen did not try to play hero ball, even though it lowered his completion %. On the pic, he said the play was all screwed up and that resulted in the int. -

Everyone should read the Kubiak analysis in the BN today. Explains much. Sorry but I can't seem to link it. 9/19//21 Week 2 Bills @ Miami Postgame Thread

Opening drive of second half tells you what you need to know about Josh Allen. He will be just fine. Given lack of pre-season playing time, first quarter of season is essentially pre=season. -

I am awed by how many people on this Board are so sharp on various free agent receivers. Beane clearly has no idea what he is doing. So many better choices at better prices.

Mitch Morse Re-Works Contract per Ian Rapoport

Dickerson or Leatherwood. But you can draft them and still have Morse for 2021. -

I think Williams is gone-- too expensive. Feliciano back as well because his cheaper. Ford back, and get a cheaper RT option in FA, put Ford back there, or most likely a high pick. -
TBN Jim Kubiak on the Chiefs AFC Title Game
Casey D replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Excellent read. He really breaks down what happened well. Shows how it was a total team loss, and how one phase impacts the others, e.g., Allen losing patience when the team fell behind. -
How does Josh work on his nerves...?
Casey D replied to Adamb412's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The defense was a complete sieve. The pressure the defense put on the offense to score almost every drive was significant. It was a team loss, as our D was no match for their O, and their D played well. Putting any of that on "nerves" is absurd. -
Ravens are the "it" team. They were so good last year, and completely flopped in the playoffs. Then that flop extended into this year. Then they won their last five, and now they are "back" as the team that was touted last year in beating their nemesis Tennessee, with Jackson as the second coming once again. The team is still flawed as they are not built to pass or come from behind. Yesterday was the first time Jackson rallied them from a 10 point deficit. Get these guys behind and they will be in trouble. If it's close, they can hang with anyone. But that is the narrative IMO.
