I think it is too soon to say that last year was an outlier. No doubt they were horrible last week, but that is a recency bias. I agree that 6 points is begging people to take the Saints. I want to know who is laying the 6 and keeping the line up? Maybe James Holzhauer. :-)

I think the word you perhaps might be looking for is outlier. But WTF it is only English.

What exactly is an outliner? A battle ship? A tight end like position? Before I bet good money on your thoughts, I must know.

Not if they put 8 or 9 in the box and make him throw.
-
I saw that. And also Pats - 6 1/2 against the Titans. Both lines seem out of whack, as if they want you to bet the Saints and Titans. While smart money going the other way?

Bills focus at practice what do you all think ??

Agree. Jacksonville game in particular. I'm hoping that the Colts game was an aberration -- a perfect negative storm that made the team look far worse than it is. I think the Colts were amped to play and beat the Bills as a statement game to show their 0-3 start was not who they were. The Bills took penalties-not new-- at just the worst times. Down 14-0 than 24-7, Allen tries to do too much and he reverts to 2019 Josh and turns the ball over. The weather turns bad, making a comeback even more difficult. And so it went, a snowball and an ass-kicking. I refuse to believe that this team could become this bad that fast outside of a perfect storm. The Jacksonville game was inexcusable, but they are people too. Team character is under fire--rightfully so. Let's see how they respond. As I think German philosopher Nietzsche said, "that which does not kill you only makes you stronger." We shall see. -
Well said. The all for one and one for all philosophy of this team makes this a particularly vexing issue for this group because it calls into question who has who's back, team first and all that. I mean the Pats are run on fear. I imagine Belichick tells his team, get vaxed or I'll cut off your nuts. I mean the difference in philosophy is one reason I love the Bills and hate BB and the Pats. But as you say, for a team like the Bills it is more likely is divisive.

I agree. The defense will have off games now and then. They were bad yesterday, and the offense did little to help them.
-
I tend to agree. Defense was simply unable to stop long methodical drives. Bills only had three possessions in the first half. The third after the McKenzie fumble really ended the game. This game was mostly on the D. But something more cosmic is wrong with this team. The personnel is better than last year, but the team much worse. I don't know what it is, maybe the vax issue which is galling to me and might be to others on the team when key guys are out because they won't get vaxed. It gives other teams--almost all of whom have more players vaxed--a competitive advantage. Maybe it has nothing to do with that. But something is wrong in that locker room IMO.

Defense sucked today, and got the team behind the 8 ball early. Then McKenzie's fumble sealed it. Playcalling would have changed nothing today, -

Saying it is unacceptable means you won't accept it. Which in turn indicates you will take some action in light of it. You going to turn in you fan card? Thus, whatcha going to do? -

If the Bills beat the Pats and go 2-2,they win the Division. 3-1 with a loss to Pats and there are issues winning the Division. And I'm not sure what unacceptable means? Whatcha gonna do? -
I hate to say it … but the Pats are coming
Casey D replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is great. So much trash talk. Competition makes everyone better. It is good that the Pats are at least decent. Bills need someone to push them, it will make them better. And I think both teams make the playoffs. It's like DA Trotter out there in My Cousin Vinny-- "you did good out there Yankee-- I like the competition." And this will be decided on the field in two games. -
Spencer Brown placed on Covid List [Edit: Thurs 11/18]

Depends how he got it. Football related yes, not football related maybe no per June 2021 letter agreement between NFL and NFLPA. Vaccinated you get paid no matter what. Dispute on how contracted if non-vaccinated player docked would be arbitrated I suppose. -

If we can't beat the Colts at home without Spencer Brown, we are just pretenders anyway. -

So what? Nothing really matters until the season is over, and then we will see where the dust settles. -

Totally agree. Teams and players (and race horses) just have bad days. They don't have their A game, or their B or C game even. Pitchers in baseball are a great example. Now the line did suck against Jax-- no question. But a lot of upsets are just when the favorite is having a bad day. One of the reasons why sports are so interesting.
