  1. Ben Roethlisbergers beard......though negotiations could get hairy.
  2. I like Brees and I hope he has no complications coming back from his shoulder problem. You would think the Jets would shy away from a QB with a busted wing. Pennington is their albatross.
  3. I don't think they can be made yet, though they could agree in principal.
  4. I like Marv, too, but if you think players will look at Marv as a "deciding" factor in coming to Buffalo............
  5. This over/under 8. Does it refer to the duration of the present regime as it's comprised? If so, I say over, but just barely.
  6. I like TK also, though he might be out of his element in the booth. Since the MNF and SNF telecasts are not about the games as much as they're trying to entertain from the booth, how about swapping Theismann for Wilbon? At least then there will be some sense of familiarity.
  7. I do like Tirico. Theismann talks a lot without saying anything. I like Kornheiser. He should prove to be a sober McGuire.....only more tolerable.
  8. I equate Kitna to Holcomb. Good back ups, that's it. Comparing Collins to Bledsoe is probably accurate. Having said this, I'd prefer Collins to Bledsoe.
  9. I've thought all along that with the regime change comes philosophy change. That goes especially for the QB. If ML and company didn't like JP from the get go, they will not sail that ship with blinders on just because of where he was drafted. I'm not saying they will not allow JP to compete for the job, but I'm guessing they'd like someone more "win now". We all know the deficiencies we have with the OL. Those, I believe, will get the attention they need be it through the draft and/or FA. Now, with the "proper line" in place. they may want to go a step further and put the ball in the hands of someone more seasoned. Bill from NYC, you asked who else. How about Kerry Collins? It has been speculated that the Raiders will go in another direction. I know some might compare him to DB. That's fair. I've always liked KCs' game. I'd give a look see.
  10. I agree. I also think think there is another QB out there (no, not the draft...relax) that will push JP for playing time. Someone more seasoned and with better upside than Holcombs Arm....err KH.
  11. Whatever happened to "you play, you pay"? Do you think Evil Knievil (sp?) had a problem collecting on his medical bills from the SBTA? (Stupid Bike Trick Association)
  12. If timing requires luck, then he was lucky. That play was calculated. The pass may not have been pretty, but he got the job done. Isn't that the bottom line?
  13. Yea. Right. THAT would have been the difference.
  14. What, that 3rd and 28 pass didn't impress you? I know he didn't play well. But when he had to make a play he did. My only point to this is equating his performance as a choke job is inaccurate.
  15. I understand the low rating and the less than stellar stats. Again. How did he choke? HE WON!!!
  16. His team won. How the hell did he choke? He made plays when he had too. You didn't see great stats so he must have choked? Give me a break.
  17. We may not know what JP is until we surround him with an OL, granted, but stop saying "JP could have done that"....that's silly.
  18. If they lost, I might agree. Fact is, he made plays when he had too. I'll take that over gaudy stats. I suspect his good statistical games will far outweigh one such as this. This kid is a winner.
  19. Pizza, homemade wings, swedish meatballs, chips & dips. I will be adding this little recipe to the table as well. Sounds delectable. Thanks! 1/4 keg of Michelob to wash it down.
  20. TT will get in next year. I thought for sure he'd be first ballot, though. Aikman is every bit as deserving as TT, if not moreso. So is Irvin.
