Gramm steps down from McCain campaign
Bishop Hedd replied to Bishop Hedd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Exactly. Now he can enjoy the obscurity he so richly deserves. -
Ive never thought of Phil Gramm as anything but an out of touch old Texas coot. No word yet if Gramm was heard whining.

Had a thread on this a few months ago. How could it be anyone but Lieberman? Still like Richardson for Obama.

Was at work yesterday and Slit skirts came on followed by Face to Face. Say what you will about music choice but they can come up with a couple good ones on Classic rawk two fer the weekend. -
Lynch announcement scheduled for 2:30PM
Bishop Hedd replied to BEAST MODE BABY!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This won't end anytime soon even with an apology by Lynch...and why should it? Lynch is just one of many ignorant jockos who thinks he's above the law...imagine hitting somebody and leaving them in the street. Wotta dick! So I guess I contribute to it by being a season ticket holder who is going to hold his breath until Lynch plunges in the endzone against Seattle with a game winning td and then all of Buffalo/WNY Bills nation is forgiving. I think not. At least from this standpoint. As somebody who lives a couple miles from the scene of the crime and works a few blocks away and has been shoved shovels full of crap by King Ralph for decades...including the recent decision to replace the local clean-up/maintainance crew at the Ralph with a Michigan concern (Michigan...Ralph? Nawwwww), I don't expect anybody from the organization whether it be Ralph via Scotty Berchtold, or the jockos that play for the team to be even remotely honest. And I'll bet we'll swallow any excuses they have fully. -
I'm surprised your mention of Mr. Carlin's passing hasn't drawn more response but the man was (FCC Censored) brilliant. I've been known to quote him once or twice on these boards. He was my favorite comic of the era I grew up in (70's) eclipsing Pryor and Martin not so much for the shock value but the valuable insights into the minute details of the human condition. I mean who hasn't petted a cat and watched his/her hind quarters shoot up in the air ("musta pressed the ass button"), or warbled a tune at the dinner table (sung lounge style: "I'm standing at the table during dinner singing and it isn't even covered by your rules"), or gone to a Supermarket half baked looking for the right cookies (where the hell are the Mallomars?!?). His influence in that respect cannot be denied. Politically he pissed off both cons and libs...especially feminists...starred in a few movies (anybody remember Car Wash or Dogma-winking Jesus?) did some good work for kids on his train PBS series but like I said before he was amazing pointing out the little things we hippy dippy weathermen miss. For some of us his passing is much more meaningful than Tim Russert. If there is a better sports comic moment (ok...outside of the legendary "who's on first") it has gotta be Carlin's Football vs baseball.

Last week Olberman outdrew Bill O. So much for that theory. But that wasn't even my point with DC Tommy Boy. To say all of a sudden the Australian Rupert Pupkin sat down and said I'm going to start the whackiest news network in America without the Republican party is absolutely ridiculous.
-
Only someone like you who just barely skims every topic could come up with something as inane as you just posted. So using your logic then Silver's hero (well, besides you) Bill O is also a non-partisan hire because he came from NBC (before the tabloid Inside Edition) and Brit Hume (George Bush's tennis partner) is ok because he worked for ABC. I suppose if you mention the corporate media behemoth NBC/GE that is supposed to absolve the GOP driven Fox News. Try again.

As someone who has dealt with many pro athletes in Buffalo over the years I think it will be a given nothing will happen to Mr. Lynch. Reason 1...nobody wants to talk. Reason 2...see reason 1. So a Canadian woman from Toronto sues over an incident...and this will do what....give her about a 20,000 dollar settlement...if that? Oh..so now her injuries are a little bit above uncomfortable (according to her newly signed Buffalo lawyers) so jack it up another 20 grand then what? Unfortunately for her she's foreign..walking along a heavily traveled road for cars and peds..on a stormy early morning at 4AM. What was her condition at that time. Like I've always been saying for the past ten years Chipwa sux.
-
Yeah I thought about that too...until I realized that King Ralph (as in puke) Wilson would probably want it to say "The Tim Russert lettering above the Ralph Wilson Suites at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Ralph Wilson NY should heretofore be recognised...signed his Royalness Ralph Wilson King of WNY and soon Tonto Ont"
-
And of course it is only logical that the phrase "Fair and Balanced" would follow. It is only a given the GOP mega media nutjob Roger Ailes would could and did help start the mess known as Fox, as if the GOP wasn't complicit....c'mon! Do your homework.

See the docu "Outfoxed". It defines explicitly their techniques on how to whitewash the issues and news, whatever the term 'News" means to them. Better yet watch this clip where one of Bill O's flunkys tries going after his arch nemesis Bill Moyers; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxq4xZgtvmw talk about a dressdown.

Expect more of this from Fox as November 2nd draws closer. They're good at this, throwing nonsense out there like the "terrorist fist jab" just to see if it will stick. It doesn't matter because their retarded viewers eat it up. What's Hannity's anti Obama pet project of late that went absolutely nowhere? Oh yeah Bill Ayers

"outsiders" kemo sabe?

Makes too much sense on so many levels that the republicons would never go for it.

Sign the petition - Hillary for VP
Bishop Hedd replied to PastaJoe's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
"Even though I don't like what you did to me, you still have my DYING support" Vincent Foster ESQ This is absolutely ridiculous. Obama needs Clinton about as much as Custer needed Indians. He should pick somebody soon so Hillary can be nothing more than an unpleasant afterthought in '09. -
My apologies. McCain did disavow the wretched right wing nut job Parsley. http://www.mediastudy.com/articles/av5-29-08.html Funny how the right wing biased corporate media missed that one.
-
As I've stated here four months ago Obama does not need Clinton on the ticket, sure he needs to make overtures towards the Hillary Clinton camp, but in no way whatsoever should she be considered a frontrunner for the VP nom when there's more capable candidates (Webb military...Richardson SBSW) out there. Plus how would it look if there's an ex-president looking over his shoulder. The Clinton era is over (shoot I thought 2000 proved that but Democrats are stupid) and the sooner the better. I dunno...maybe Hillary can run for NY Senate again so I can vote against her again..what's the old Bush line "Twice fooled nev..oh wait never fooled..."

There goes Obama's lead in the polls....
Bishop Hedd replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Coo*coo coo*coo. Some here r acting like they came from the same bin as DC Tom. -
Consider anytime we don't have to read this Trinity Church/"pastor problem" crap here a good thing. Now will McCain officially renounce (or better yet "denounce") his self proclaimed "spiritual guide" the conservative whack job and hate mongorer Parsley?
