  1. Between the corporate mainstream media's harping on Obama's race (even Chris Wallace from Fox News harped on his co-workers about this idiocy) and now this moronic Hillary/Bosnia flap (NEWSFLASH! She is not the Democratic nominee and she has no chance of being the nominee!) comes this from McPaper on Monday. http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/elec...lobbyists_N.htm

  3. I think mine probably has as well and I don't even have one.
  4. I'm just waiting for Ed Muskie and E Howard Hunt to show up. Hell, we've already had a Canuck letter.
  5. I don't expect the administration to get to the bottom of this. Didn't they play the Plame Game for five years? And what came of that? Scooter was disbarred? Golly.
  6. And as predicted... ..the right wing spin http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/pos...TRhNmI2ODYwNmE=
  7. Rush is Right though! The fact that McCain wants nothing to do with the dittoheads sez a ton about this election. He'll have the 527's and this election cycle's version of the swift boat bozos for Bush do thier turn.
  8. Yeah Manning...he's the bastard child that's playing for the Eskimoes in Alberta Right?
  9. No it's more than likely to hurt the country. As you're prone to saying ever heard of a little thing called the Constitution dingbat?
  10. Newt Gingrich and Sean Hannity think it's serious enough to warrant investigation. That says a lot right there...until you fully realize the ineptitude of the Justice department

  12. Ya never know...but this story is just breaking so far it seems pretty low level. But then so did Watergate.......
  13. Wait, who knows what's to come of this. Will Obama use it for sympathy that Bush's big governmernt is afraid of him? After all it should be obvious that they consider him the dem nominee. or... Will they actually find something?

  15. You never know how the radical Limbaugh right might spin it. Listen and wait?

  17. Or does it aid it? Bush's State Department might be in trouble.
  18. Does this effectively end his political career?
  19. No argument. When I was down on the rez (that's rt 438 for you VA) having my smile brightened this morning, I came across these headlines in the waiting room: http://www.buffalonews.com/home/story/303541.html http://www.buffalonews.com/home/story/303599.html
  20. This barely registers a blip in WNY. Most WNY'ers are more concerned about day to day things than where a downstate pol dips his wick. Most WNY'ers tend to have suspicions about most things from NYC/Longed Island up to and including UB students. That dominance NYC has over our little space here on Lake Erie forces us to deal with whatever they send to Albany and that won't change until we secede...and that is of course never.
  21. This is more of a national political story than anything State government oriented. I supported Davis a former Republican the last two times around because he was anti-NAFTA, a trade agreement that has decimated this Great Lakes region. Unlike McCain, who thinks things with NAFTA are just peachy, or Pro NAFTA poster girl Hillary, or lip service Obama, Davis has spoken out against NAFTA every chance he has gotten, getting him thrown out of Kleinhans music Hall by Slim Cheney's brownshirts. http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Jack_Davis Anyways, even old piggy Reynold's organization the NRCC say the Spitzer ordeal won't hurt congressional Dems running in NYS in '08. http://www.nrcc.org/news/view_article.asp?ID=1448
  22. That's been mentioned around these parts too. See Trent Lott for example.
  23. Well there seem to be two candidates running so far: one a crusty curmudgeon anti-NAFTA industrialist who was once a Republican until Dick Cheney punked him off at Kleinhans a few years back http://jackdavis.org/new/. Then there's the 29 year old Democratic Party poster boy http://www.powersforcongress.com/ It's not my district (it's my folks district however) but I once again think Jack Davis would kiss nobody's ass. While Reynolds was the ultimate scuzzball republican self promoter I don't think Jack Davis gives a shite about any of that. It will be interesting to see who the republicans puke up in the next month or so to put on the sacrificial alter against either Davis or Powers
