The clues are all there so I finally figured out what Potsie is. I should have guessed this sooner but it sounds to me that our little Darin is a -ok ready-Darin is an honest to goodness libbertearan, spreading the gospel of Harry Browne to the unwashed while decrying a two party system (how genuinely daring of him!) that he doesn't seem to have any qualms about cashing in on. Potsie Brown BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! -

Get your mind out of the gutter cowboy. I was referring to your firearm. -
Uh welcome back. Who are you? Are you another in a neverending series of *tee-hee* "freedom" loving wingers that pervade this hysterical board? I've e-mailed this board to a couple friends and they nearly doubled over in gales of laughter. I'm glad someone e-mailed this site to me because I never would have found it otherwise.

Can anyone see this Darin guy, stroking and polishing his "rod", while waxing fervently for *sigh* "freedom". Keep going you're cracking me up. -

It's a far cry for the Canadian Government to actually send their own troops, under their own flag, under their own Armed services (which is obviously what Coulter meant) then for a few soldiers of fortune to cross an unprotected border and do time in the Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines. Oh yeah that "memorial" in Windsor? Erected by three guys from Michigan. Try again. -

Sure pal, dry that one out and you can fertilize the lawn. I really don't give a whit what you are since most of your posts I've bothered to read deal with mundane nonsense that nobody really cares about. Usual right wing republican crap like taxes and guns, guns and taxes seem to be your tired mantra, outside of the one sentence kiss-off meant to be humorous but only succeed in making you more ineffectual then you already are. -

Jeff Gannon: White House press room scandal?
Bishop Hedd replied to Bishop Hedd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You're right. Politics POLLS and Pundits is no place to bring up a poll. The Stadium Wall would probably be a much better place. -

Jeff Gannon: White House press room scandal?
Bishop Hedd replied to Bishop Hedd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The supposed "liberal" NY Times had to publish a retraction in its editorial page for falling for the nonsense WMD line hook, line and sinker, just like every other "mainstream" media outlet. Oh, so now you're saying "Gannon" was hired by Bush? I didn't know that but it is fitting with the kind of crap this administration pulls. By the way CNN/USA Today has Bush at 45% approval rating, the lowest his rating has been since he took office. Got to give him and the extremists in congress credit about sticking to their guns on this Schiavo thing, no matter how ridiculous the rest of the country views it. Now these dimwits are starting to attack the polls because they aren't saying what they want them to say. Sounds a lot like what goes down on this board. -

What the hell does Maureen Dowd have to do with political cartoonists? As for reading the Trent Dilfer report yeah, I'll get right on that. -
Jeff Gannon: White House press room scandal?

The media were cheerleaders right from the onset. There was very little "negative news' (ie: truthful news) coverage until it became so glaringly obvious that things weren't going as planned that the media had no choice. Substitute what you mistakenly call "negative news" for "truth" and there may be hope for you yet. -
Jeff Gannon: White House press room scandal?

I seem to remember an announcement a few months ago that came from the White House (so who knows if it's believable or not) that stated for all intents and puropses that we've given up trying to find anything that could even be construed as a WMD. -

I guess you'd only feel that way if you're to the right of Attilla the Hun. Doonesbury is reprinted in thousands of daily's around the country. Toles is a Pulitzer prize winner who cut his teeth at the Buffalo News before moving to the Washington Post a few years back. And Tom Tomorrow is just a genius. -

Absolutely, what with the media helping him sell his war based on BS WMD claims. Now you're starting to get it. -

While the mainstream media completely skirted around the "Gannon" story it's good to see our finest cartoonists still haven't let up on this funny Bush/McClellan faux pas. http://www.workingforchange.com/comic.cfm?itemid=18761 http://www.doonesbury.com/strip/dailydose/...l_date=20050322 http://www.ucomics.com/tomtoles/2005/03/16/ -

And it wasn't just one theater showing the midnight shows it was 5 of the eight theatres showing pretty decent cult films. -

Those theaters lasted right up until after the turn of the centutry. Man, I saw the original Freaky Friday as a kid there in 1976, used to ride my bike from Amherst in highschool to catch a midnight showing of the original Dawn of the Dead in the early '80's and supported the discount theatres right up until they shut down a couple years ago. -

Twin Fair could never compare to Two Guys on Sheridan. As a kid I loved the bowling allys in the back. -

"Valu has everything you need" Those commercials will be around forever. And yes driving past value on Kenmore you never see a very full lot. -

I had a friend who worked at the Cavages at the old Como Mall (affectionately referred to as The Dawn of the Dead mall) during its last days. He'd always manage to give me the old five finger discount. The one I went to most though was the one at the Boulevard Mall, though I didn't care much for their selection. I preferred Sattler's record store at the same mall where I actually found a copy of the MC5's Kick out the Jams. Remember also Record Runner and R.B.I. records at University Plaza? R.B.I. was great because it had the most knowledgable staff in the suburbs.
