  1. Obama made his speech and people can take from it what they will, and that includes you and the chef. Why are you still prattling on? Everybody else, save the mouth breather Fox News viewers, has moved on.
  2. Yeah yeah Soros, Bill O gets great ratings (though not the demographic desired by advertisers), Air America sux (it does sez the Bishop), and Al Franken can sometimes be rational which I find hard to agree with. What I need from you is any info on cool dive kind of bars in Philly since I'll be there for the Mets Phillies series next week. Haven't been in that town since I attended a Bills Iggles game at the Vet over a decade ago. I'm staying in the center city or whatever they call it there. Is the Septa subway safe late at night?
  3. Sure why not? It was great during that pre war build up on this board circa 03 to hear you meekly straddle the fence between which way the wind was blowing...while all the time offering only mild opinions that maybe we should...oops my skirt is in the wind...maybe we shouldn't. Actually I don't recall you saying anything remotely tangible during that period at all. But what else is new. Funny you portray yourself now as "oh I was never for that invasion" Ah bullschit! Anyone who was against the war back then and made their opinions unmistakenably known were thrown off this board...and now the pigeons have come home to roost and you still straddle the fence. Absolutely classic! Hey Libertariatard..Bob Barr is running so you can no longer be a closeted repub/con.
  4. Well I hope it's the former...or what the hell else am I doing here because you and the far right Bush is good, war is good, guns are my Gawd, minorities are taking over folk here constantly crack me up!
  5. Yeah like "Bring 'em on", or ""we've seen the last throes of the insurgency" "Or I'm not gay, I never have been gay", or.... Here's a good one: Cheney response when interviewed by ABC News about a vast majority of Americans opposing this idiotic conflict. "So?". Excuse me now I have to get back to watching that toolbox Betrayus being "grilled" by a decidedly passive Senate.
  6. You're taking 30 second sound bites, craftily editing them out of a couple hour sermon and then putting them on a tape loop 24/7 on Fox (and later other outlets) and that's not taking them out of context? Man you're a moron, but that's pretty much a given.
  7. Correction, I meant Hagee and ROD PARSLEY, who the media still haven't covered. McCain has called the nut job Parsley his "spiritual guide".
  8. That would be "screwy little read daily". Love how you always manage to mangle my quotes. Cross Chuck Heston off the short list for McCain's VP choice. Shame, he seemed like he had a little more on the ball than Johnny.
  9. What is this recent love affair Hillary is having with the right wing biased media these days? It's bad enough she's sucking up to Fox News while her flunky Ferraro spouts her racist crap as a regular contributor to Hannity and Colmes, but she's also going out of her way to bash Obama in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review..you know that screwy little read daily in Pennsylvania. And who owns said paper? Why none other than right wing conspiracist Sciafe. Hillary truly is a political whore. http://www.salon.com/comics/tomo/2008/03/31/tomo/ As for McCain it should be interesting when the media finally gets off this Clinton nonsense (she lost guys get over it) and concentrates on the doddering McCain, who doesn't seem capable of a coherent thought be it the economy or Shias and Sunnis. In that respect he just might be the heir to the Ray-gun legacy.
  10. Well Silver......why doesn't the corporate media cover John McCain's "spiritual advisors"? Hagee and Olynsky?
  11. What I find interesting about Joe Pasta's reply is that he is actually accusing Rhodes, who was in the military and was a truck driver, of "sexism". I hope Rhodes doesn't make the apology circuit like Imus and I don't think she will.
  12. I'll say it again because I know you are something of an illiterate reactionary...where did I say one was "worse" than the other ("worse" being in those things we call quotation marks)? You're right...I wish Imus would have said something like that instead of coming off like a limp wristed ineffectual pansy (which he might have very well have always been) acting contrite and apologitic while groveling for mercy from the rancid likes of Al Sharpton. But that isn't how the apology circuit works nowadays.
  13. As we've come to learn with Fox over the years they'll throw something out there like the Wright screeds (completely out of context of course) and through sheer sledgehammer repetition pound their point home until the other corporate media outlets, afraid that they might be seen as "liberal" for ignoring such an earth shattering story, fall in line and give Fox news nonsense way more creedence than it actually deserves. Hell we saw it from them during the 2000 election. Now is that a "conspiracy"? Who's to say? That seems to be your choice of adjective to describe Fox and its fawning followers in the media. Buffalo has one in whack job talk show host Tom Buerle who boasts that Fox is all he watches even while doing his radio show, and was convinced two weeks ago that Obama was done with and even had a program to that extent. I think MOST people are smart enough to dismiss Fox's propaganda for the most part. The fact Obama is hardly "done with" bears that out so if it was an attempt to take Obama out as you say it sure fizzled like a damp fart.
  14. "Worse"? Where did I use that? I used to watched Imus in the Morning before I left the house and I thought the constant hammering of him was basically piling on for publicity sake, where everyone had to weigh in for the sake of weighing in, completely ignoring that Imus and McGurk had really just made an awful joke as someone with Imus' background is somehow prone to do. The over repetition of the Wright tapes by the right wing media has now got to the point where it's just pathetic (hey, sorta like you) and has had currently minimal effect on Obama. It's even gotten so bad that the Clinton campaign (weeks behind anything relevant) had to chime in with her two cents recently.
  15. Yeah well I know that all happened but it is no different then FOX NEWS today putting on tape loops 24/7 of the reverend Wright. This topic wasn't supposed to be about race but since we're here which group do you think has shown more self righteous indignation over nothing?
  16. Naw I was in San Francisco this time last year. Please explain?
  17. Uhm that's very clever Tom. Where do you get that rapier like wit?
  18. I don't think you stay on the air for four years if you have "3 listeners". But hey maybe you're right, just look at the Factor on Fox News and the Washington Times or Pittsburgh Tribune Review? Does anybody actually admit to indulging in those media outlets? Somebody filthy rich has to keep those three afloat behind the scenes.
  19. Well I don't insist that and I know of hardly anybody that feels that way. I never thought Imus should have been punished. For all the outrageous crap Bill Orly and Rush spout everyday it would be a given that they would have been fired or suspended by now if the Left wanted to make such a big deal about it. Well they haven't even been suspended, let alone fired.
  20. I've been calling Hillary a "political whore" to her supporters for the last two years now. What is it that Rhodes said that was so objectionable? "Effing"?
  21. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/03/a...rh_n_94863.html
  22. "Suppression"? You've got to be kidding, right? I mean didn't all parties know of the rules in advance?
  23. Yeah, we could be spending three trillion on a useless "War" instead.
  24. First I've heard of his release. Of course the 60 Minutes piece last month or Dan Abrams crusade on MSNBC wouldn't have anything to do with his early release, would it? Naaaah, our far right whacko Justice department just decided to do the right thing all of a sudden. Do you think they'll black the news out in Alabama the way they pulled the plug on the 60 Minutes piece?
