  1. Newsflash. general election is in November.
  2. Yeah probably. After much deliberation I purchased Bills season tickets from "Erik". I'm curious as to why you responded the way you did...with emphasis on the segment you boldfaced. You actually think the decrepit McCain stands a chance even with republiCon dirty tricks/swiftboating crap and all? Hey didn't you say back in January after Iowa that Billary would still be the nominee? Now who's delusional?
  3. The '94 republiCon era is over...the era of Limbaugh and Bush...and by all measures McCain (wolf in sheeps clothing running on a screwy enviro/bomb Iran platform) has failed conclusively. Nobody wants that shite anymore. What's to happen? President Obama.
  4. I saw the ads his opponent ran and they were all about tying Childers to Obama, an absolutely ridiculous idea that obviously backfired in a conservative district in one of the reddest states in the Union. Doesn't bode well for republiCons in November.
  5. Harold and Kumar escape from Gitmo was just a huge disappointment, both politically and comedically speaking.
  6. Speakin' of Buffalo to Philly I just did the drive yesterday and have been in town two days and can't find the Johnny Cash bar on 2nd South of Market. The old city tavern was kinda corny but great George Washington porter. Killdares was ok before the game...now lookin' for somewhere to go afterward.
  7. You did? What? What that little kiss off about not defending nutty christians? That's quite a stand there GG. I take it McCain is your man in November so how do you defend his embrace of these two rascist, homophobic, using-religion-as-a-business assclowns? How do you defend the corporate media for not giving it due coverage while they went absolutely apeshit over the Wright non-story? You have answered more than most (ok a sentence) here so I'll give you some leeway there. Not that you're seeking it or anything.
  8. Oh that's right blame Joey Pasta and his support of Hillary and me because I supposedly hate "white America", whatever the hell that is, for Obama's speech being thrown in the old dustbin. Of course I haven't heard this from anybody else but what the hey! Asians and Indians were brought over here and endured centuries of brutal oppression right? Typical conservative twaddle. Would you like to offer an opine on Parsley and Hagee? I thought not.
  9. Ah screech solame, shouldn't you be saved by the bell?
  10. You mean THE William Jefferson Clinton...the greatest republican president this nation has had this last century?
  11. Actually that would be the "conservative playbook". "So if it's a sermon at a black church, it's OK to go on a paranoid, racist rant? (Interesting opinion you have of black people, BTW.)" Silver and Red Yesterday 5:21 PM
  12. It's not impossible to understand, it is your refusal to understand. Still waiting for any comment on Parsley or Hagee. ...and waiting...and waiting...and waiting.
  13. "Obama's speech...dust bin" According to whom? You?!? As for the rest of your touchingly cliched, condescending Horatio Alger inspired boot strap conservative claptrap all I can do is laugh. Now who's being the caricature?
  14. I have still yet to hear any comment whatsoever on Parsley or Hagee, McCain's spiritual advisors whose campaign actively sought their endorsements. They have said things far more frightening racist and bigoted than anything Wright has said, http://www.youtube.com/results?search_quer...mp;search_type= http://www.youtube.com/results?search_quer...mp;search_type= Somehow I doubt very much I'm going to here.
  15. "Backed into a corner"? Over what? Who's naive? Those who dismiss out of hand the things Wright said, pretending instead that this country's history with all of its racism, sexism whatever never existed? Man you are an idiot.
  16. Among the ultra patriotic flag lapel pin "love it ot leave it" crowd there is this utter shock over what Wright said from the pulpit, as if what he was saying was completely foreign to any idea or notion they've ever had about the country, completely dismissing the fact that this country has had a few shall we say moments where genocide was permissable, denial of civil rights was permissable, forced relocation was permissable etc etc etc. So when Wright speaks to these things the self righteous indignation from the cons comes fast and furious. As if Wright is the only one thinking or saying these things that so hurt their delicate suburban sensibilities.
  17. I want somebody out there to tell me why McCain gets a free pass for the two screwballs whose support he has OPENLY sought while Obama has been nailed to the cross for his defense (and yes refutation of his words) of Wright? Can you say "double standard" children? Besides, most have moved on (with the exception of the hardcore far right) over the Wright nonsense otherwise Obama would have sunk like a stone. Get over it.
  18. Hagee or Parsley? "White"? Have you ever heard the old saying about assumptions?
  19. UGH! It's a sermon! Expressing disdain from the pulpit as some preachers are wont to do. It is taken from the black experience. Many thought the 2000 election was stolen by the Supreme Court. I don't expect you to agree with this but I do expect you to understand from a different perspective before we move on. Quid pro quo. McCain's "spiritual guide" Rod Parsley, who McCain has yet to denounce or Fox News has yet to put on a tape loop 24/7, has called for the destruction of Islam (just the world's biggest religion) by Christians, has compared Planned Parenthood to Nazis, wants to prosecute people who commit adultry, whose church has violated its tax exempt status while financially supporting Republican candidates, who has made a litany of anti-gay statements etc etc etc etc..... So let's hear it. I know McCain won't say anything because he needs this whack job's support in the key battleground state of Ohio but you have the chance to denounce or explain the nasty underside of christian conservative politics.
  20. So CC should be given kudos and lavished with free speech praise because they hired Rhodes back. They certainly don't deserve the criticism they get from many on the left since they are taking a chance on Rhodes...and in the San Francisco market yet! Got it!
