Been reading quite a bit lately about the demise of the republican party and have heard many different opinions on when it decided to leave mainstream America and mutant into something completely foreign and hideous....much like Rupert Murdoch. Viewpoints vary from a certain earmarked republican bill stuffed with goodies for good senators from red states failing back in late '05, to the reaction to Katrina, to the outing of a CIA agent and violations of civil liberties to Tom Delay and Abramoff, to Gonzo and Foley to....whatever? I think all that misses the point. Fact is righteous repubs still yearn for the daze of Ronnie Raygun and therefore have yet to come up with any remotely new or progressive idea that strikes a chord with mainstream America in the 21st century. Watch the tsunami live on Nov. 4th.

Off topic: Man I was at that game (it was actually Jan. 90) sitting in the third row of the endzone second deck overhang where Kelly led Harmon perfectly. Saw the whole play develop from my vantage point. Someone tell me that Harmon wasn't on the take. See: Rose Bowl. Then I had to meet my party after the game at the East bank of the now long gone Flats district in Cleveland at a joint called D'poo's on the River and had to deal with a buncha toxic Browns fans bark at me the whole time I was there. I still have no idea why we are not in the same rust belt division as Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Oh yeah...Ralph "as in puke" Wilson.

That's the thing. Mrs. Palin is obviously a pretty, sexy, sassy, strong young (yes. young) woman. Remember that commercial from the eighties where they zoomed in on Brooke Shields' pores to show that every woman has skin conditions? Commercial exploitation of a woman's vanity (don't get pissed gals, guys are the same as well) is nothing new. What I don't appreciate is this superficial aspect that the right is now dredging up in desperation..

Got my copy in the mail tuesday after work, took it to Mohawk Place that day and asked the regs if they noticed that Caribou Barbie had missed her electrolysis apptmnt. I'm still trying to figure this one out. Bill Press on KB this morning was going nuts over "that one" but I'm having a hard time trying to find the implied racism. If you're going to nail McCain get him for having ties to an ultra right wing international extremist organization that had heavy influence in our murderous latin American policy during the '80's, an ugly legacy of the Ray-gun era.
