  1. Actually---HOGE was a damn good runner whose career was shortened by injury.Very good runner for a white man.
  2. I think he meant strongest among running backs who dont have cement in their shoes.
  3. I didnt make any claim.I just compared him to the greatest hurdler of all time--who of course would have beaten Moorman at 55 yards or 110meters or 400 meters--AND who couldnt run a 4.2-4.3 40 AS I said before--ask Moorman sometime--in fact i may do it--I have a sister who knows him well--what he could run the 40 in on a PERFECT SURFACE.--if its in the 4.2-4.3 range--I will apologize to you on this board.
  4. You are really living in a dreamworld. Deion was one of the fastest men in the world.your statement about hurdlers excelling in the NFL has absolutely nothing to do with the subject. Edwin Moses was a 400 man not a sprinter. He was very fast--hence my example v Moorman. Ask Moorman himself what his 40 time was/could be.--I guarantee you he would laugh if someone suggested he could run a 40 time that only a handful of human are capable of.
  5. no way he is 4.2 -4.3 range..Hurdling at 440 meters is way different than 40 yd sprinting. There may be one or two guys in the NFL who run a legit 4.2. Deion Sanders ran a 4.2 for Chrissake.--- Edwin Moses couldnt have run a 4.2-4.3.
  6. I loved Bob Kemp--the guy cracked me up.He would get sarcastic and frustrated with the callers--which was part of the guys charm.
  7. well said inkman....--the salary cap has reached its full potential----the talent and the effort are out there----BUT teams dont have the chance to develope chemistry anymore..QBs arent allowed to develope properly.players come and go into a sytem and have only a couple months to get to know eachother--leading to a game that lacks flow--lacks consistency...You rarely see real classics.--Again--the overall talent is just as high as ever--but there are so many breakdowns in fundamentals and lack of teamwork--that it takes away from the enjoyment of the games.
  8. did he say 'bad' things about him??--if he did shame on him-but i thought he made a general comment about the big deal that was being made. Saying that-for example---people went way obverboard about princess DIANA with all the tears and teddy bears about a person they dont even know is not disrespecting her....its having an opinion.--Its not like calling her a nasty name or making a nasty accusation. --So people really 'care' about wrestling???--its like saying you 'care' about a sitcom on television.
  9. Willis is verry young, very fast and very strong...top 4-5 right now. He is one of the main pieces of the foundation....evans,willis,hopefully JP,takeo,clements,McGee...if we could just add a D-line and O-line stud to that group--it will look good.
  10. Right on. Vince McMahon and his drug addled---death riddled parade of steroid freaks--inspiring a future generation of kids to become just like their steroid ridden heroes.--Every death is sad--and the dead need to be respected..but just because someone questions this as being some great news story doesnt mean that he is the devil.maybe those who were calling in to the radio station were just having a bit of roid rage--so they should be forgiven.
  11. Bigger than the morons who watch professional wrestling?? WOW--he must be a helluva moron.
  12. YES--it does have that EARLY K-Mart look to it.....1972 K-Mart...polyester world.
  13. ONE HIT WONDER???..how old are you???....Jerry Butler was just as good of a receiver as EM. His career was cut short at age 29-30 by injuries to his knee.Butler was one of the top 3 receivers in the NFL for years. Willis has the potential to be better than Cribbs--he is bigger stronger and faster than Cribbs was---but Cribbs was an exceptionally smart, evasive runner who was also a terrific receiver.---Its NOT an obvious call like you think.
  14. wow--didnt know his brother died. tough decision...-tough to coach or do anything when you are in that 'what does it matter'? mindset.
  15. WHAT?--how can they put less than one man on Schobel??
  16. I have NO idea how we deal with the situation...no answers sorry.......but with Schobel in there giving all the good teams QBs time enough to have tea and crumpets while they look for a receiver who will eventually get open...-this team is cooked anyway.Having a mediocre DE puts incredible pressure on our D--and will always prevent us from becoming contenders.SO---fix it SOMEHOW----..
  17. WRONG on DE. Schobel is NOT sufficient..and puts NO pressure on good teams. This has a ripple affect all the way from the linebackers to the safeties.
  18. Of course Jeff----the first politician who actually has the guts to propose the necessary changes on the expense side will likely be crucified.
  19. ..talk about cojones..Grudin obviously feels secure in his job.
  20. yes it is.....-- although he did put up a decent showing against NE though minus his gay poolboy immitation on the last play.:--AND--the fact that a panicky playing at the time/shellshocked/wet nbehind the ears Losman may have lost those 2 games. PS---I am happy that JP did well...and he should be starting.
  21. I AGREE....it is going to take HUGE concessions--which in fact is pong range thinking.Buffalo politicians are the most myopic anywhere outside of some of the 'STAN' countries.
  22. ..home game VS a lousy chiefs D.--not to rain on anyones parade.
