  1. They absolutely still need a boundary WR with speed and reliable hands. I don't know if Cooper is that player, but it's an important element. We lack explosive downfield plays, and the threat and capacity for that should not be neglected, regardless of their approach. WR is a weak position in this draft. Aside from that, the rest of the needs are all D. Edge, DT, CB, S, LB. They could use one of everything, 2 DT imo. What you won't find at #30 is a game-wrecker DE that is likely to make a significant impact year one. In my view, FA targets should be WR, DE, and a veteran S that could start. If they somehow get Crosby or Garrett, that would be the only expensive buy.
  2. Hey, there's a lot of us.
  3. That's because it does look cool. Standing Buffalo is cool.
  4. As a hockey owner, Terry Pegula is a disgrace. As a football owner, he and the city are fortunate he stumbled upon Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane. Whatever their shortcomings, they are competent and have built a winning program.
  5. If the zebras can assist KC all day, I don't see why you can't finesse the narrative a little.
  6. He's very talented, but drops are a real problem with him.
  7. That extra 37 cents will buy you half a stamp.
  8. It was, though I didn't write that. I tried to correct the original and then erased my comment because it might seem petty. The worst thing about that AFC Championship game was because of it the Bills were overconfident and partied way too much. Still remember watching that 51 - 3 blowout from a UCLA dorm room. My roommate was from Batavia, and we could hardly believe it. Seemed like an alternate reality. I think this team and Josh Allen are ready to grab the ring. The moment will not be too big for them, and no one is tempted to take anything for granted.
  9. And yet, some teams and players consistently get the opportune calls.
  10. You know they won't.
  11. They're a complete embarrassment. Pegula/Adams have no idea how to competently build a team. Not enough veterans, and they've made so many bad decisions that any veteran with a NTC has the Sabres on it. Not even worth minimal attention, unless one is a masochist.
  12. They were my childhood B team. 0 - 8 in the SB. Maybe it's me.
  13. Tomlin won't do it, but I'd seriously consider starting Justin Fields. Wilson is toast.
  14. Broncos are a different team on the road. You can be nervous about the Bengals or nervous about the Broncos. Denver was pretty inept against Cincy. KC is not interested in this game. Crush them at home.
  15. Well, you point out that the Bengals are the most dangerous of the three possible opponents, and also select the Bengals as the opponent you want, saying "Let's make it more fun." Either you have a strange sense of fun, or you're not all that much of a true Bills' fan.
  16. Well, I suspect you probably have decent insight into the KC fan base. Or the Giants. Certainly not the Bills. The Chiefs have a bye week. The next best thing is for the #2 seed to have a relative cream puff. No team has their chances of success increased by facing the maximum most difficult gauntlet.
  17. Probably means the "least worst when it comes to DL."
  18. Sorry, can't tear myself away from the excitement of watching paint drying on the paint drying channel.
  19. Yes, we can do it. We are not one of the teams with no shot.
  20. And yet we beat them. This kind of negativity is worse than useless.
  21. I wish they'd just pretend it is second down. They'd play much better.
  22. Well, I don't know them personally. Nice or not, TP is the worst hockey owner in the history of the NHL. Adams has not grown into the position. The whole thing is a fiasco. It makes one recognize the good fortune to have landed McDermott and Beane. (Allen, of course, is the most significant driver of success, but he doesn't do it alone.) Folks can complain about the playoff failures -- I do, but the Bills are a well-run organization.
  23. Part of the problem is that any vet with a NMC is going to block a trade to the Sabres. I think Pegula's reputation is currently so poor, he'd have to open his wallet and hire a really respected NHL fella and publicly make it clear he's handing the decision making to an established professional. Otherwise, what you're likely going to get is fringe vets that aren't good enough to fill the role that is needed. And Pegula does not want to spend on the Sabres, which sets up an endless cycle of frustration and disappointment. Even with the untenable position they've placed themselves, I'm sure there are trades to be made. Adams is in a pickle, because other teams know the desperate plight of the continuing malaise. He'll have to overpay, and gamble with some of his precious futures. Folks looked at the roster before the season started and nearly everyone could see they needed at least one add to the top 6 and a top 4D. Get Power a stay-at-home solid D and it would make a world of difference. Bottom line, we are led by dummies. Nice guys, but not bright, and rather arrogant. How many times do they have to fail before they question the wisdom of their plans?
