  1. I agree that not much will change over these 2 years. Bush is actually pretty decent at divided government ruling though - he was known for reaching across the aisle in Texas.
  2. The AP doesn't officially decide though. It'll come down to lawyers and courts in a recount.
  3. It matters a ton. If the GOP ends up winning Virginia, they keep control of the Senate.
  4. Intelligent Design is perfectly fine as long as you are willing to look at all theories. I subscribe to this one personally. lol, "intellectually dishonest". Actually, they prefer legislation that lets each person make up their minds individually on abortion. Therefore, its pro-choice. Thats not intellectually dishonest; you calling the people who are "pro-choice" as having "chose death" is dishonest. I don't know anyone who is pro-choice that is also pro-abortion. The reason why is discrimination is because it has nothing to do with negative job performance. A homosexual will perform most jobs (except perhaps straight porn) just as well as a heterosexual. Therefore, discrimination based upon this is wrong. If Masons are allowed to discriminate based upon the membership to the fraternity (I'm not familiar with those cases), my thinking would be because it is classified as a fraternity and not a religion. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 doesn't ban all discrimination. Muslim sensitivity training is important because schools should be accepting of different religions and promote tolerance of all. I personally don't think that banning religion from school is the answer, but in no way do I think that promoting religion in school is the answer either (prayer, etc). It lies somewhere in between. This has been brought to lawsuits before, but they've all been settled out of court and nothing has been brought to serious trial yet as far as I know. The EEOC has also ran campaigns against Hooters' hiring practices.
  5. Absentee/Provisional ballots most likely from Fairfax county
  6. From what you posted I didn't get that feeling at all, just that they were happy to see a ton of people engaged into the elections. I didn't see the show, is there a transcript anywhere?
  7. Just because it worked fine doesn't mean that they're secure, it just means that no one really attempted to !@#$ with em.
  8. He's the President of Texas A&M. I dunno if I can support the guy.
  9. How the hell are they fuggin' tools for saying that? I was also pleased that this was one of the best turnouts in history and that voters felt engaged.
  10. Its worth some 2008 draft picks if we can find a great QB honestly
  11. While I do think they'll take it (depends on Montana), its too early to declare this.
  12. I don't dispute this (I was joking about the SEC comment). I do dispute that it makes a difference at the pro level. No freaking way. The difference between conference is so, so much smaller then the difference between college and pros that it just doesn't matter.
  13. I can respect a guy who will stop at nothing for a laugh.
  14. Playboy used to have my longhorns as #1, but in their site redesign, they took down the results. Unfortunately, I can't link to the results anymore. However, their previous top 10 had UT as #1 in hottest women. Of course, I can always link to this : http://www.utexas.edu/athletics/cheer/pict...breyAndKate.jpg http://www.utexas.edu/athletics/cheer/pict...egory=Football# So f'in hot.
  15. Hell no, I thought that scene was hilarious as well. I cringed, but it was in no way distrubing.
  16. Just for you, big guy.
  17. Oh don't get me wrong, I think that its definitely on the people that committed the crime. UM is acceptant of this sh-- cause of the city they are in though. They continue to get money from people, and feel this is their best way to win.
  18. A ton of the uncounted votes are from Fairfax with a bit more for Allen. Webb takes it. Its down to Montana now, just like I predicted.
  19. You could argue that the whole reason why the U finds it acceptable to do this is because of the culture of the area around the campus. I don't think that its a stretch to say that either. People that give money to Miami will tolerate that type of garbage, much moreso then other schools, so they can get away with it in order to attempt to win.
  20. Yeah, the culture of Miami has nothing to do with it.
  21. Depends on the person honestly. Shuler is at least somewhat of a departure from the normal Republican line.
  22. Because all born again Christians don't use logic?
  23. I honestly expected that you understood. I dunno, I was more or less thinking about my own opinion on the subject out loud.
