Real estate confuses me now. We have been looking in NC for a while now. I called our broker and she said that she does NOT expect a sharp decrease, and I was very surprised to hear this. If people have no jobs, how will they buy houses? She even thinks that the market will hold steady, and I cannot see how. I would love to know how others view the real estate market for now and the next few years.

Beer. I turned into what I always scorned lol, a beer snob. I like an IPA called Coney Island Merman (Brewed in Brooklyn). It is $10.99 per six pack and 5.8 abv., and not to be confused with their "Mermaid," a pilsner. Another IPA is from a Canadian company, Collective Arts. The beer is called "Life in the Clouds." It cost $13.99 for a 4 pack of 16 ounce cans and I can only get it at Trader Joes. It is 6.2 abv. They carry it at Wegman's in Williamsville, I bought it there last summer. They are worth every last cent, and if the price goes up I will still buy it. Both are cloudy, hazy IPAs and absolutely perfect. I'm glad these great products were not around in my younger days when I drank 5x or 10x more than I consume today. I am no longer able to drink Coors Light, Bud, Miller, etc., to the point where I turn it down at parties. Who knew?

It was rough. It used to bother me way too much. Many posters on this board would call me after certain draft picks just he hear my obscenity laced tirades. And you are JUST so right about fans being polled. It sounds crazy but year after year fans on this board had better drafts than the Bills. I am pretty happy with Beane.

I think that some would crave a total collapse if it meant them gaining, or staying in power. And sincere thanks for recognizing the fact that I said "SOME." I don't want this to get ridiculous.

I want a Ribeye from Ruth's Chris and an IPA (make that 2).

Imo, people view the current market by the way their politics lean. Are there exceptions? For sure, but most Trump supporters would look back at the last 3 years and see reason for optimism, and have a basis for doing so. Most anti-Trumpers see disaster ahead, and I am convinced that some powerful dems in congress are trying to help it along. NOT all but some. As for me, I'm not sure what to expect. I am at the age where most of my money is very safe. I saw what happened in 08 and knew that if it happened again, I would not have time to by low and recover. I happen to think that the economy is best when unemployment is low. Jmo I did however pick a stock called Church & Dwight. I was hoping it would tank and I planned to invest just a few thousand. They own Trojan Condoms, and I figured that many women would be telling us to get our corona asses off of and away from them. Then, when the smoke clears I figured it would be wild times again and everyone would buy condoms. It turns out that they also own Arm & Hammer Detergent, Oxy Clean, and other cleaning products. They even pay a dividend. The stock didn't go down with the rest of them so I stayed home. Good luck to all and don't panic.

LOL you don't need my help to respond to this! >>>>>Give me a 3 very good CBs over a RB any day of the week. <<<<< Hey, he really went out on a limb, no? So, I guess he is saying that it would be better to have Sanders, Blount, and Revis on your team than Spiller. Kinda tough to argue with, wouldn't you say? With what the game has evolved into after the rule changes, I would rather have 3 great corners than Earl Campbell, or even Jim Brown in his prime. That said, I don't think it wise to build a football team around the secondary. I think that most open minded Bills Fans would look at our dismal history and agree, but; life must be fun when looking through rose colored glasses. I was never that sort of giddy person but I am probably missing out.

The color of your skin don't matter to me As long as we can live in harmony Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends?

The Bills 2020 Draft in Perspective
Bill from NYC replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great first post, and welcome to the board! You will find that many posters will defend stupid moves that the Bills made over the years through thick and thin. It's cool, after all; this is a page for Bills Fans. That said, your post is 100% correct. The organization was horrible, and fans right here on this board were often clearly superior to the Bills management, and this includes Levy, Jauron, Ryan, and a host of others. It does appear that things have changed, and it really is great to see. Once again, welcome! Jameis Winston signing 1-year deal with Saints
Bill from NYC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did you see him in Hard Knocks? He was a mess. He just would not shut up for a second and was loud and obnoxious. I can see many teams passing on him despite his talent. I even had to turn it off, he was just that annoying. I am sure that a football man like Belichick recognizes how talented he is. But BB is secure in his position and doesn't have to put up with such an obnoxious, cumbersome player, and he obviously could use a good QB at this point. Imo it says quite a bit that NE didn't go after him. Jmo. -
Hung up waiting for a windy day Kite on ice since the first of February Mama keeps saying that the wind might blow But standing here, I say I just don't know New ones coming as the old ones go Everything's moving here, but much too slow now A little bit quicker and we might have time To say "How do you do?" before we're left behind Calliope wail like a seaside zoo The very last lately inquired about you It's really very one or two The first you wanted, the last I knew I just wonder if you shouldn't feel Less concern about the deep unreal The very first word is "How do you do?" The last "Go home, your mama's calling you" RIP Robert Hunter

A Few Scattered Thoughts About The Draft.....

A Few Scattered Thoughts About The Draft.....

It was not intentional. How could one not get behind a qb as talented as Josh? Still, players get hurt. Ernie Accorsi once said that the most important player on your team is the qb, and the second most important is the backup qb. Fromm does not have the talent of Josh. How many people do? I still think that he might be a good QB and we got him in a late round. What is not to like? -

LOL Being skeptical is my nature. I would have more fun being giddy about everything in life to be sure, but; I LOVED that pick!!! And, at least your post got a happy reaction from Joe. This indicates that he isn't in the midst of one of his crying fits. -

A Few Scattered Thoughts About The Draft.....

I get this but for many, many years it completely sucked. Average for the Bills is huge! -
1) I am completely thrilled by the Fromm pick. Does he have Josh Allen talent? Of course not, but he was a complete steal!!! What a wonderful pick!!! Fromm is very smart and he is a leader. Those who pay any attention to my posts know that I am an Alabama Fan, and have been one my whole life. I'm saying point blank that I would rather have Fromm than Hurts on the Bills. Does this make me "right?" No. Call it an educated guess. 2) I have said before that I haven't seen enough Diggs to properly evaluate the trade. I also said that I was skeptical, and for good reason. Well, I am now just about OK with it. The Bills finally have a good OL, a young budding star QB, and what I think will be a fine backup. 3) It looks like they want to provide weapons to Josh, and prepare for him to get injured and have Fromm step in. What a great concept!!!! Chances are that a running QB like Josh WILL get hurt, no? They might actually be prepared for this now. 4) We might even be stronger at RB! 5) Don't you love the fact that Josh and Fromm are different style QBs? I mean really, how great is that? Opposing coaches will have to change their game plans if we are forced to switch. 6) Congrats Bills Fans. Our organization finally appears to be making sense. 7) GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Defensive Backs in Top 10 of Round 1
Bill from NYC replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dave, thanks for the kind words. Before I respond, do know that for just so long I have anxiously read, enjoyed, and learned from your posts. This being a given, I 100% disagree with the bolded. Tre was not the best pick. In fact, imo he was clearly a bad pick. We walked away from a SB winner and another potentially great QB. Gilmore was another bad pick. Our team sucked and his play was unspectacular and lackluster, until he got to a clearly superior team. As our friend Badol said, the draft is a process. It is also part of the process of team building. BPA is very tough to argue with but it has become trite imo. The idea is to build a winning team, not to draft players who are "good" and continue to lose. My GF is a Giant Fan. I actually predicted their 1st and 2nd Round picks. Now, she thinks that I am smart lol. I LOVED both picks. They took an OT who I think will be a great one. In round 2 they took a safety Dave. Yes, I AM partial to Bama players but I watched every play of McKinnie's career. The kid is a smart, wonderful player. Saban glowingly talks about him, and he played this season on a not so great Bama defense. I am skeptical about the Bills trade for Diggs, but my lack of seeing him play disqualifies me from making a pertinent remark. I think/hope that the Bills have turned the corner in terms of stupidity. They appear to have jumped off of the first round DB roller coaster. Thanks again and GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Defensive Backs in Top 10 of Round 1
Bill from NYC replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In 2003, 2004, and 2005, their first pick was a receiver. In most years they just picked the wrong players, not necessarily the wrong positions. For instance, Fairly was GREAT in college but didn't do much in the NFL. That said, letting a talented DB walk and replacing him with a #3 is just stupid. It is exactly what the Bills used to do.
