I truly did not watch them enough to give a pertinent reply in terms of first round picks. That said, the 2 corners from Bama are decent players who might be around in the 3rd or 4th rounds. I truly do hope that the Bills make protecting Josh and providing him with more weapons their top priorities, but I am scarred by the old (and not so old) days.

That is great news. I was afraid that we might have to swap 1st round picks, and toss in a 2nd round pick along with next year’s 1st to get him, or really any other corner.

After that big play old ladys were hugging and kissing me and bodies were falling on me. I ended up on the bottom of a huge pile. As a Bills fan it was a surreal moment, one I will take to my grave. Hopefully we willl triple dip, or even quadrouple dip. I am all in for trading next years top picks to move up only a few slots for the chance to draft even 5 or 6 corners. Like the great GM Marv Levy said, "you can't have too many corners." This is especially true when a team plays a zone defense that doesn't require super athletic corners.

Cool. I mean, I wasn't there lol. Eliott told me about this in a 30 minute or so converstion that I had with him. He also talked about matching up against Bruce Smith. It was the deepest insight I ever had into the NFL. He did specifically tell me that he "coached" Peters. I told him how impressed I was by the way Peters was strong enough to move defenders out by extending his arms. Jumbo implied that he was stronger than Peters in his playing days . I am really not making this up.

Peters was signed by the Bills as a UDA. This is true but he was cut before the season and worked out with the Giants. The Bills then signed him again, this time to the practice squad. Jumbo Elliot told me that he coached Peters for a short time. If you scroll down it does mention the cut. I am going to step outside of the SEC for this pick LOL! The Patriots select Cade Otton - TE - University of Washington. I did so because on video, I like the way he reaches for passes that are not thrown right at him and brings them in. He also looked good at making plays in or near the endzone. So, in this draft, picking in the 20s, we were able to bring in: Treylon Burks - A big, solid receiver who is hard to cover, and has good hands. Darian Kinnard - A very well coached player who was a good OT in college and now projects to guard. Cade Otton - A solid looking TE who would seem to have a decent ceiling and a not so low floor. I feel lucky that all three of these players were still there when I picked. I also hope that this scenario doesn't play out because it would be a big boost to the Patriots.
