  1. Ha. IMO, Manuel starts the 3rd preseason game and that will be the end of the QB competition.
  2. There. You got your answer.
  3. Is it me or do the Bills look a bit more energetic during this preseason compared to the past years ?
  4. Dareus looking quite sprightly (yea I mean it)
  5. Could go either way. But at this point with just shy of 1.5 preseason games gone, we cannot make a case to can the only experienced QB we have. I am okay with him being at #3 on the depth chart but not on the street
  6. Fumble recovery for a TD by Blatnick
  7. Did you forget Rex Grossman ? No team should enter a season without a seasoned vet.
  8. That was a nice PBU by Robey. Not a PI
  9. Sure but out of pocket (rounded figures) for 4 year contracts: EJ (9MM) + Woods (4.9) + Alonso (4.5) = $18.4 Tavon Austin #8 pick (12.7) + Woods (4.9) = $17.6 So we spent a bit more coin but incremental per player is not much. I think the Bills came out ahead financially even though they spent a bit more money
  10. Can't the Almighty Tebow sprinkle some holy water and cure him in an instant ?
  11. I sont know if it is clear enough. I should probably go through all posts and do a count. On the road this week and kinda tough to do from my phone....
  12. Sweet and accurate TD throw. Woods looking very smooth and good
  13. Good point. Maybe plays need to be slowed down till EJ gets adjusted to NFL Ds
  14. Good two completions for EJ "nice run by ... a Buffalo running back" (read:I have no idea who ran that ball)
  15. Should have been an easy completion
  16. What are you talking about ? Colts are doing everything well and the Bills suck.
  17. Kelvin Sheppard looked like he interfered on the 1st down There was a WR wide open on the left side of the EZ on the 3rd down play !!
  18. EJ is built like a LB. Good vanilla throw to TJ
  19. Very early, but guys who are looking good - Aaron Williams, Alonso, CJ
  20. EJ should have held on a second more to see if anyone breaks open. Therr was no pressure at that time
  21. Saw Elysium on Friday. (tried to keep it spoiler-free) Good: - Good plot, realistic but grand visuals - Good acting all around. Damon really excels as an action hero far more than he did in any of the Bourne movies. Copley follows up his fish-out-of-water performance (District 9) with a thoroughly bad-a$$ Kruger with the right amount of villiany. Supporting cast is adequate. Foster looked wasted as all she does is bark orders and try to sound scheming. - Excellent direction. I was particularly heartened to see him do an excellent sophomore act cos I was worried he is a one-shot wonder. He most definitely is not. Him and Duncan Jones are the hope for the future of brainy sci-fi Could be better: - The climax could be better. It has a good build-up but needed more of an edge-of-the-seat feel - Again, plot closure could be a bit better Overall, it was well expected that Blomkamp intentionally drifted from the visceral feel of District 9 to a more mainstream movie. Critics who lament that it is 'too loud' (it isnt IMHO) or too populist may be well served to read their own glowing reviews of decidedly shallower and generic blockbusters this year (yea, I am looking at you Iron Man 3, Man of Steel). While other summer blockbusters have their place with big action, huge sets etc, there is a very nice place for a deeper movie like Elysium. having said that, Blomkamp did not go full Hollywood on us and that may be a bit of a failing. At some points, he could have toned down the political commentary and concentrated on giving more thrills. (see Spielberg. He builds up the characters and story, but when it is time for action, he goes all mini-Michael Bay and provides goosebumps). But Blomkamp is a young director and he will learn that over time. Overall, I recommend it if you like a little depth to your scifi.
  22. Justin Blackmon reportedly escorted off the field for a verbal spat with a Dolphins CB: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000228549/article/jaguars-justin-blackmon-escorted-from-sideline-after-spat
  23. I vote for Astro also for his terrific TC reports
