Parsons traded to Green Bay, given $188 million contract
Fan in Chicago replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I disagree on allocation of resources. If we were going to spend the money, I would have used it to acquire a stud WR. There have been way too many investments in the defense to further justify a $45 mm+ investment in a single defensive player. -

@Ralonzo to your earlier point .... -
He made himself a nice career. Wish he stuck around with us longer than he did

Bills Initial Roster - No real surprises
Fan in Chicago replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Interesting. Do you expect him to win reps for that role over Knox? -
I didn't know he was still in the league
-
Not when he is on the field but the guy is hardly ever available. As a performer for the Bills he has been a bum. How long have we been saying that? We can't bank on hope
-
Based on camp and preseason games, I will be shocked if Shavers doesn't make the 53. The question is which bum out of Moore, Samuel and Shenault is kept as the #5. Imo, we should roster at least 5 to account for in game injuries.

Imo, Shavers is making the 53 and Davis is being reviewed as a #5 to replace Samuel.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2
Fan in Chicago replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed on both Hancock and Shavers. I too had thought that if Shavers continues a good camp with plays in the preseason, he will have a path to the 53. My hot take is that he edges out Curtis Samuel (availability vs ability). He not only made that very good back shoulder catch but had beat his man on at least a couple of plays but the QB over threw him. -

Cook signed👀 - 4 / 48 / 30 mil guaranteed
Fan in Chicago replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
There are plenty of other threads to bash McDermott and Beane's actions. This is a thread about Cook re-signing with the Bills and posters to express their opinion about the deal. Making a passing comment about a related subject (such as weapons on offense besides Cook) is fine but you are going on and on about such topics. It is called hijacking a thread. Also, your posting language needs to be toned down. This board has been here a long time due to decorum, very reasonable rules and highly knowledgeable posters. Consider this a friendly suggestion to tone it down before the mods start saying the above in a far less polite way. -
Freudian slip?

Do the Bills Even Have a Hated Division Rival?
Fan in Chicago replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
The reverse is true. Buffalo is that hated rival of each of the other AFCE teams. -
Not to derail this thread but with his continuing little injuries, I won't be surprised if Samuel doesn't make the team despite his high price tag. Either of Chase or Higgins would put this team over the top (literally and figuratively).

Camp question: Who is this year’s Buffalo Joe?
Fan in Chicago replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The OP meant Buffalo Joe to mean an unheralded undrafted player who puts in the effort and shows enough to make the final cut. Don't focus on the "Buffalo" part of that term. -
"Shorter of breath and one day closer to death. Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time. Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines" Seems so appropriate to remember these lyrics

Totally hypothetical - would you trade Cook and pick to get Mclaurin? I know there is a difference in AAV but is it a trade you would make? I think it's a tough tough decision but I would do it. Cook is terrific in our offense but McLaurin would make the overall O unstoppable. At RB , get a veteran and ride with him, Davis and Johnson.

Report: Terry McLaurin requests trade
Fan in Chicago replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with all of this but have no expectations that the Bills will make the move given their history about WRs. I have been excited in the past about getting players like Metcalf and then been sorely disappointed. I really do wish Beane will stop thinking about managing the long term cap and push all his chips in. Like Eagles and Rams did before. A top end receiver for the next 4 years will be incredible for the Bills. -
