  1. Who cares what Moulds gets somewhere else. That doesn't affect us.
  2. Priorities! Spikes, Fletcher, Crowell, Haggan can play. Gandy, Anderson, Villarrial can't and Williams and Teague can't play either but are gone.
  3. Yeah sure, then another smurf WR in round 2 and B in round 3. LOL Marv may not be having the Bills best offseason ever, but you'd have to think that he would show up to the draft after having had a pound of shrooms for breakfast to draft like that with our needs.
  4. Is Tom Donahoe your company's relocation manager?
  5. You'll be disappointed then.
  6. yeah, it sure is. Ralph, if he had been paying any attention whatsoever, would of and should of stepped in on Donahoe and kicked his butt outta here long before he did. The fact that he gave him a behind the scenes extension tells me that Ralph is the problem.
  7. He could also go to NO at 4, SF at 7, or Oakland at 8. Or even TEN at 3 or Houstong or the Jets.
  8. Name a big name QB that "made a big name" behind a line like ours? Just one.
  9. Davis and Bowen don't fit that mold. It would also be nice if there were at least a list of positives that we/he could see. Just throwing a dart at a player that hasn't developed is more guesswork than solid, high percentage signings byplayers that are going upward. And that's all fine and good, but overpaying for them doesn't make sense although we will likely have to. Also, did we really need another primarily blocking TE? Was Royal worth the contract he got? I'd rather see two or three really impact signings than this nonsense. The only player that truly fits your theory is Tripplett. Most players in this league are "grateful to have a shot." It means nothing. Having a shot does not mean that they will be able to compete with the best.
  10. This is and continues to be a failure by the owner that the former GM simply held onto a philosophy that was defunct, yet himself fails to recognize that. If these high profile players were high profile in more than historical bases, then perhaps it would have worked out better. But also, that GM didn't address the line needs, in actuality completely neglecting them. Our owner should be astute enough to realize that you can't stock a team with has-beens and expect yesteryear's performances. Then to do so at top dollar makes even less sense. There is more than enough blame to spread around to all parts of this organization. Our drafts have been crap too. Modrak bears blame there as well. Levy and Jauron are left trying to clean up a mess that isn't going to be cleaned up the way that they are going about it. We've dug ourselves into many seasons of being bad. Few big name veterans will want to come here now. We'll have to build via our drafts, and we just don' t have the draft guru installed to do that. So expect this road to be even more painful and longer than we think. Evans, McGahee, Losman, Spikes, Fletcher and maybe even a few others will be likely be gone before we're ever competitive again. The Niners have been trying to build from the ground up, and we see how difficult it is w/o top drafting. Once you have a good team in this era of free agency, then it's easier to maintain. If you've had a good team but have gone through a couple of lean years, then it's also not difficult to come back. But when you have near a decade of incompetent leadership, a proneness towards being cheap with coaches and GMs, overall poor performance, then it becomes much more difficult as we are now beginning to see. Premier players use us as a negotiating device but don't really want to come here. And why should they if they want to win. It's gonna be a long road, and it'll only move forward, either by chance under this administration with Modrak, or after we get some competence, good football intelligence, and winning experience in charge of this team from the top on down.
  11. Are we building an NFL caliber football team or a group of guys that are going to represent "a bunch of good guys playing ball?"
  12. Good point, and it's not like we'll be challenging for the playoffs this year or anything, so all the more reason to take it easy and make sure it's right. Someone needs to make sure that Spikes considers the long term before trying to prove what a warrior he is at the expense of it.
  13. Yeah! Say hi to the tooth fairy next time you see her too.
  14. No, we suck, too bad for me. Keep some objectivity, will ya.
  15. Let's see how ours is this season before we start criticizing theirs. Besides, aren't these all tangents? You're getting away from the core issue. They also have Fitz, Edge, Boldin, and some talent on D. Plus they don't play in a division with NE and Miami.
  16. Besides, I think it's a real reach to assume or even hope that he'd rather play in Buffalo than in Arizona given the status of both teams. They have far better talent, they're in a much nicer climate, and they at least have some form of competence, arguable as to how much more, at the helm.
  17. Still doesn't give him a choice.
  18. It would just be nice to have some top people in charge of this team instead of rejects and people with either no experience or a track record of horrible results.
  19. Just challenging the homers.
  20. It's also not as if Wells has a choice in the matter if they match.
  21. Uh, because he had the most penalties of any lineman maybe!
  22. I'll bet that you're saying the same thing about Jauron after this season.
  23. Come on now! Bowen, Davis, and Royal don't have you all stirred up for this fall now?
  24. Rumor has it that this year they're changing the name of the "Select a Seat" event to the "Bend over and grab your ankles" event. There will be awards for flexibility and endurance.
  25. Compare Levy's career record to Jimmy Johnson's, Bill Parcells', and Joe Gibbs'. There's no comparison with the three that dusted him in the big game. If Levy had never known Polian he'd never have come close to making the Hall of Fame.
