  1. Is that the game Hal Garner sacked the QB late while crawling on his knees?
  2. I changed careers at the age of 35. Worked telecom out of my first stint in college. Pulling telephone and computer cabling, fiber optics, installing phone systems. After 6 months, went to a start up for a few years doing the same thing. Moved up the ladder to an office position designing systems. Moved around a few more companies until I landed at local computer company opening their cabling division. Worked there until my pension was about to be vested and was laid off. A bit of a kick in the gut because the local office president told me no matter what happens, I’d have a job with them…. Guess not. Always thought I hated having a boss, so started a business and was back at that office in two days and became their subcontractor. Owned my business and did pretty well for the following two years before I realized I hated telecom. Got drunk with my wife camping when we discussed my changing careers. Landed on nursing as it was something I thought of out of high school…but male nurses back then were not as accepted as they were when I changed careers. Got my pre-reqs done for nursing school and the rest is history. Most fulfilling work I’ve ever done. Make good money and landed a decent pension where I work. Best decision I ever made. Was difficult because we had just moved into a new (old) house 6 months before being laid off. 2 kids aged 6 and 7. Incurred a bit of credit card debt, but totally worth it. Best part of nursing is the career paths once you get your RN. You can work specialties such as ortho, cardiac, cancer care. You can work surgery and get your RNFA (RN First Assist) where you scrub in and help the MD. You can get your Nurse Practitioner. You can even become a Nurse Anesthetist. Great career.
  3. I know it ain’t happening, but the best way to support the defensive backfield is a strong pass rush. If you really want to win the Super Bowl, you make this trade. 2 firsts and Epenesa and another player. Or the firsts and Oliver. Contract is a problem, especially because he won’t want to sign a short term deal. He will want to break the bank. Other teams make it work, will just take a lot of upfront cash to players. Git ‘er done BBB!
  4. Look pretty cool! Would have liked to see the numbers having a color gradient, but will look great!
  5. Yep. With zero ties to McD or Beane. Released by the Broncos.
  6. I agree. The Bears game tainted these guys. Our starters have had bad games from the Kelly era to Josh’s era. Never have I seen such backlash from the fans. Andreessen will have a good career. Great? I don’t know. But good.
  7. Ciarlo looks like he can be a very good player. Would like to somehow keep this kid. Give him time to get better on the PS. Kid looks a bit raw still, but looks to have what it takes to play in this league. I don’t get the hate for Andreessen though. Dude has instinct, good tackler. Thought last night he looked very good. Feel he can play well within this system when there are actual game plans.
  8. Like him, hope he makes the PS. Would like to develop him further.
  9. Young hasn’t looked bad at all. Nice drive and awareness.
  10. Nope. Dude was toast last year.
  11. Does he know he’s not being brought back to PS? Or do they send them home, and literally bring them back if they want them on PS? Understanding he has the ability to choose what team to join if multiple teams reach out to him.
  12. Dude. Gotta run faster there!
  13. Andreessen playing well.
  14. Gotta be on the roster. He’s developed well on the PS, now let him develop playing in regular season games!
  15. One knee equals two feet!
  16. Sanders putting the defense in debt with penalties tonight.
  17. Walker is one strong dude. If he can get off the snap just a little bit faster, he’ll be a force!
  18. Looks like Walker is wearing a 2T sized jersey!
  19. For sure. Teammates love him.
  20. Really like Gore Jr.
  21. Explain why it’s tone deaf? Are the following tone deaf? Should the CORPORATION not have gotten public funds as many NFL teams have in the past because of these? His multiple homes? His multiple sports teams? His bank account? The Bills got 850 million public money for the stadium. The stadium and team that provide an economic impact to the area, along with a many unmeasurables. Pegs is 850 million out of pocket, and climbing for over runs. Maybe the Bills are paying that, but that comes out of his pockets.
  22. There are many great drummers. Peart, Bonham, Moon, Stewart Copeland, Buddy Rich…even Ringo…and not necessarily in that order. My top guy? Peart. Technically sound, intricate, dedication. Great lyricist. Was perfect for Rush and loved watching him! As for the remaining guys, all great drummers who were perfect for their respective bands. Again, even Ringo who I’ve been learning to really like. I just feel Neal was a step above. A sleeper that I love watching from back in the day is Joe Morello who played with Brubeck.
