  1. 1) Bills 2) Sabres 3) SU hoops 4) San Antonio Spurs 5) Colorado Rapids The old Buffalo Braves would be third if they were still around.
  2. I picked him up late in my FF draft too and he's one of the reasons I am in first place. The timing of this game works out as it's the first week of our playoffs and I won my division and thus have a bye so I can fully pull for the Bills to totally shut him down.
  3. The wife and I won't be far from you - we're same side, 50 yard line row 37. When she surprised me with the tickets last week she said "you don't want to know what I had to pay to get these" and she's right, I don't.
  4. 32 miles, 38 minutes according to MapQuest (http://www.mapquest.com/#bcd3e5564aa94df213603c4b), but allow more time than that. The I70 route is the one I recommend. The airport (DIA) is pretty far out there in the hinterlands. You'll be approaching from north to south on I25, so just before you get to the stadium there's a hotel where the Colorado Bills Backers are holding a pregame tailgate. You can google them for more details. Not sure if we'll be going to that or not at this point. Also, the night before they are having a party at Lodo's Bar and Grill (the downtown one). Safe travels!
  5. Well we live just south of Denver these days, but the wife and I will be there, midfield, about 30 rows from the field on the visitor's side. As Bills fans, of course.
  6. I too am very surprised to see him cut as I thought/think he's a stud. Perhaps the Bills are trying to do him a solid by cutting him now so he has a better chance to hook on elsewhere?
  7. Concert: I believe it was in '77, when as I young lad I was center, 7 rows from the stage for Rush 2112 tour at the old Century Theater in Buffalo. Sporting Event: Super Bowl 25. row 19, 35 yard line. Sat a few rows in front of MC Hammer and right behind Jeff Hostettler's wife. Yeah, I was real popular in all my Bills gear and my eyes painted like Ray Bentley's in a sea of Giants fans!
  8. Born in Buffalo. Raised in Williamsville (Williamsville North HS '78). Graduated UB '82. Moved away after UB, four years in Redskins territory, thirteen in Cowboys territory and now twelve in Broncos territory. Despite living in these other places where/while Super Bowls and Stanley Cups were being won, will always live and die the Bills (and Sabres).
  9. And dress our receivers up like trash cans.......
  10. I have wondered a little about that myself for the last few years now. It seems like in modern team history we are real quick to put guys on IR, spanning the last couple of coach/GM regimes. I have always thought that since they get paid anyway that a team would not put players on IR for money savings. However I have wondered if there may be seem little known financial benefit to the team to IR guys, like maybe after they go on IR their salary is paid by insurance or something instead of the team's own coffers.
  11. And just earlier this week I gave my 20 year old pair to my 14 year old son. Maybe I need to take them back
  12. 1st choice, straight up, second choice spread, last choice confidence. Thanks.
  13. Funny you should say that, because I had a Raider fan with me and did the exact same thing with him! I only have a Marshawn jersey and didn't feel right showing up in that.
  14. Thought I'd check out the Tebow circus. Watched all three QBs closely, and Orton clearly looked the best. Quinn also looked more accurate than Tebow. The one player who clearly impressed was Demaryius Thomas. If you do fantasy football, he could be a great value later round pick. Saw Bruce Hall fumble and then jog past me on a punishment lap.
  15. Valid points, for sure. I was not complaining that they canceled me, just a little surprised they pulled the trigger as quickly and easily as they did, and thought I'd share my experience to help others avert my fate should they not be serious about canceling. As for reading the thread, I glanced at it early on, then put all my available time back to studying for a technical certification test. Passed it, went on vacation, and found the time to call DTV. Didn't read the entire thread until just last night. If I do call them back I will be sure to ask for the Retention Group. Thanks.
  16. I wonder if you and I got the same person on the phone. I have had DTV and Sunday Ticket without interruption since 1996. I always paid what they charged and never threatened to cancel before last year. Last year I did call in to cancel, they offered free Super Fan (whoo hoo!) and a $60 credit. I took it and was happy. Then I read all these other posts of people getting twice that. So I called in yesterday to cancel and the gal says she is authorized to give me a $60 credit to keep it. Knowing last year (and this) that other people have gotten better offers I said something to the effect of that is not enough for me to keep it. Honestly, that was good enough for me but I didn't want to leave anything on the table. So, she apologized for the delay in their systems while she processed a cancel of Sunday Ticket, which I interpreted as them probably stalling to see if I would change my mind before offering me more. Next thing she says is, "o.k, it is now canceled. Is there anything else we can do for you today?" So, I now find myself without it though I really did not intend for that to happen. I have had some feelings as others have about spending that kind of dough only to get depressed each Sunday, but Sundays will not be the same without it. I have mixed emotions as I feel kind of torn between calling to reinstate it, and canceling DTV altogether for them so easily allowing such a long time customer to cancel, even if I "only" spend about $80/month with them, outside of Sunday Ticket.
  17. I was there and thought the same. My seat was down low and right on the LOS for the kick. Looked good until the last second.
  18. I remember the game well, and being a college guy on break me and a couple buddies after the game said "let's fly to NYC and rub it in their faces", and so we did (on People's Express for $23 each way to Newark). That was one trip to remember, and made it out of there alive.
  19. Sorry to hear that. I'll say a prayer as well.
  20. I respect a guy who can admit they were wrong and not keep trying to defend something they didn't really mean.
  21. Absolutely! I was waiting to see if anyone posted about this. To me that was one of the more important referee actions in the entire game. No measurement even? No challenge by the Bills of the spot? Sorry if any of this is redundant but I do not have the time to read through the whole thread. The other thing that I thought was BS by the refs was after those two illegal formation calls on Bell for being too far behind the line of scrimmage, it sure looked to me like during those two Pats TD drives their o line looked like birds do flying in a V formation - both tackles were way behind the line of scrimmage.
  22. Classy reply from member #1 to member # 11,025. Love it.
