  1. Do you think the O-Line will be fortified next year? I don't and I'd rather not put a rookie in there so we can go 2-14 and probably ruin that rookie QB long-term. I'd rather focus on incremental improvement with a long-term plan. Vick throws a decent deep ball and Evans is the best deep ball WR in the NFL. The need for a GM and Coach is obvious. If there is a different veteran QB available who can win behind what we have at OL, then I'm all for it, but just don't see anyone else out there.
  2. A rookie QB behind that offensive line... We'd be lucky to win 2 games. I'm all for drafting a QB in the 1st round, but we still gotta go out and get a veteran QB, veteran capable OT's and LB's to compete and get better next year.
  3. People might not like to hear this, but the only way I see this team being better next year is if Vick is signed. A rookie QB will be a disaster behind this O-Line. What other veteran QB will be available? Bring Dungy in and perhaps he can quickly improve the defense. It's the best that can realistically be hoped for.
  4. Maybin mentally and physically is no where near ready to play in the NFL. For a coaching staff that needed to win right now, Maybin couldn't have been a worse pick.
  5. I agree. Nothing to lose. Trent is shot. Pass rushers smell the fear in him.
  6. Poz makes the tackle 3 yards into the endzone. Well done! Way to attack the line of scrimmage. Guy goes backwards more than forwards.
  7. Not an ND fan, but watched ND a bunch this year because that offense was fun to watch. Was impressed with Claussen but thought Golden Tate was their best player. He's a bigger version of Steve Smith.
  8. That's the point. It appears like his stock can't rise much higher, so the down-side risk is much greater. The whole 'juniors aren't as successful' theory is kind of a slap in the NFL talent evaluators' faces. Same thing with Bradford. It's not just the injury, but why didn't he want the next challenge after his great season last year?
  9. Good for him. I assume his goal is to play in the NFL. Just think this raises major questions about him. If he doesn't dominate next year, his stock can only fall.
  10. Agree. This decision makes him look like a pu$$y. If scouts are telling him he's a top 5-10 pick, what does he know that they don't?
  11. Good article. Only Locker himself knows if he is ready. But once he knows if he grades out as top 5-10 pick, I think it is very hard to pass up that kind of money and the challenge of the NFL. Then there are more questions than answers for scouts. Is he afraid/not confident enough? Does he like the college lifestyle too much? I think that you don't bother getting an evaluation from the Advisory Board if you are going to stay. It can only hurt you if don't leave when you grade out as a top pick.
  12. If we are drafting in the top 5-6 picks, it better be a QB, OT, or Defensive Lineman/LB who can get after the QB. We have nothing at those positions, and they are the most important.
  13. Claussen and Bradford probably aren't getting past Cleveland and St. Louis. And if they do, then I don't want them at pick #5 or pick #7. Brohm was a nice pickup to avoid wasting a pick in the 2nd or 3rd round on a QB this year. Unless Locker declares and has franchise talent, I don't see the Bills drafting a QB this year.
  14. I like the idea of a huge run stuffer in the middle and Cody looked good yesterday, but the worst case scenario is that he eats himself out the NFL like Mike Williams. You have to worry about a guy who is that fat already. Hand him $10-15m guaranteed, and that's a lot of trips to Burger King. I like his teammate McClain a lot. That guy on Florida who can run the 100m in 10 flat couldn't beat him to the sideline. And the guy weighs 255 pounds.
  15. I like Tebow but it was interesting seeing him play against a team that had as much talent as Florida does. I think Tebow can make it in the NFL. He showed that he needs work on his accuracy, but has pretty good arm strength. I wouldn't hesitate on taking him if he lasts until the 2nd round.
  16. Pike is a gamer, but Pike's physical skills don't come close to Flacco's. Pike kind of reminds me of that QB from Miami when McGahee played who is still bouncing round the NFL.
  17. This is probably the first year in a while where the 1st pick overall will be coveted. Suh's strength is ridiculous. Once he gets his hands on you, it's over. Reminds me more of Reggie White than Bruce. His bull rush is unstoppable. Cody from Alabama looked pretty impressive today too. Gotta worry about the guy eating his way out of the NFL, but you can't win without guys dominating the Line of Scrimmage and that's what he does.
  18. Forced 7 punts and got the offense the ball back at the end of the game. Not saying the defense played well, but they kept us in the game.
  19. And the sad thing is Fletcher was not re-signed because he was too small. Now we have safeties playing LB.
  20. The wildcat call on 2nd and goal from the 10 was brutal. Don't have a problem running in that situation, but not when you are telling them you are running. And putting Fitzgerald behind center and faking a hand-off with 2 minutes and change left with no timeouts was not smart. Jets weren't fooled and just gave more time for their D-Linemen to meet Fitzgerald in the backfield.
  21. Our defenders look like midgets compared to the Jets O-Line. The defense played their butts off though. Had no business being in this game. The offense was simply brutal. 194 total yards on 50 plays and 25 minutes Time of Possession. Take away the Lynch 35 yard run and Evans 38 yard bomb, and they had 48 plays for 123 yards or 2.5 yards per play.
  22. What was Van Pelt thinking putting Fitzpatrick under center on 1st down? Jets really fell for the play action when the Bills had to travel 80 yards with no timeouts in 2 minutes. Embarrassing offensive effort.
  23. Agreed. Gotta take chances and dare Clemens to beat them.
  24. Just a matter of time now. Offense not doing anything and defense can't stop the run. Gonna need a turnover or some bad Jets play-calling.
  25. Nice love-tap on Sanchez, Poz.
