Conspiracy theory.

It gets complicated of course, but L never suggested Biden doesn’t lie, it’s just that his tendency is to fabricate stories, facts, narratives, situations, examples, personal stories with greater frequency than when he lies about stories. Uh, and facts, narratives and situations. Plus, you know, examples and personal stories. Don’t hold me to it but of 100 untruths, I think L figures that on average, 62 are made up, 38 are lies.

Israel and Iran

Let’s always remember to keep that moment in our hearts, fleeting though it might have been. Well, I’m guessing that most reasonable people would think execution, violent and repeated sexual assault, murder, desecration of bodies, beheadings, and everything that went on on October 7 would be judged “intolerable”, but here we are exclusively discussing the response of the victimized. What a world. Be that as it may, I’m not in Israel, nor do I speak for the people of that country. I’m simply looking at their response to the proposal and their actions since October. There is a tendency to over-complicate hot-button issues, where common sense is discarded and analysis by paralysis sets in. Release the hostages—all of them—living, dead, brutalized, terrorized, Israeli, British, American, children, men, women. That, by the way doesn’t reflect an act of peace, and the pertrators of the atrocity should still be hunted down. It’s simply the only place to start, and people of faith should recognize that. I’ll steer clear of the insinuations on your character here, Kay, I have no idea what’s really in your heart as it relates to all this. You feel free to proceed as you see fit about mine. It doesn’t matter to me, really, though it’s interesting that you find my position respectable yet chose this line of questioning. Again, just applying reasonable standards here, 10/7 represents a pretty dark stain on humanity, carried out by one nation/people v another, not limited to the 21st Century. No, this is unimaginative and reflects plumbing the depths of a shallow pool of imagination. Seeing this through, FL, as a television personality/celebrity would be more likely to skew liberal, claim credit as some sort of activist, and fly from NYC to Europe to protest climate change. Of course, FL would then hop a charter to Seoul to catch the TSwift Eras tour, then back home to LA to accept an award as a UN eco-Ambassador. Meanwhile, of course, FL as a star of daytime TV, would have had access to Hollywood bigwigs—your Clooneys, your Streeps, your Harvey Weinsteins. We know, of course, know where that leads—nobody knew nothing, least of all FL. Don’t even get me started on Blossom. -
Israel and Iran

I'm not certain why a reference to a character on Powerpuff Girls would catch your attention, but as a middle child I'm always appreciative to be noticed. I recognize the complicated nature of the Middle East, concerns about past, present and future injustice in a world punctuated by madness, intolerance and apathy. Israel has a burden to carry in that regard, as do the Palestinians. I think the guiding hand of Israel has decided that given the choice between being an international pariah, and the murder/subjugation and the plans of Hamas/Palestinians for their nation as evidenced by the October 2023 atrocities, they will take the path to being a pariah, the events of November, 1948 notwithstanding. I fail to see a reasonable path to peace when one of the conditions of coming together at the table of brotherhood involves one side continuing to victimize, enslave, sexually assault and kill those children/women/men in captivity until some future time unlikely ever to materialize. Though, in reality, I don't see a time in the near future when these two sides ever come together. It's a crappy deal. -
I was a sensitive kid--not black armband sensitive, but it bothered me. I heard an interview with Artemus Pyle (drummer) a few years ago. He told the story about how it happened, what went wrong, and getting shot coming up to a house looking for help because the homeowner thought he was coming to rob him. Absolutely avoidable accident. Oh, and I may have to rethink the age-related comments directed your way. I've got a couple years on you. Oh, well, I guess I'll have to ring the doorbell @B-Man mcmansion as he has a couple years on me. Sounds sincere enough to me.

Chi, you always have to be a bit skeptical. It wasn't that long ago 51 former, current and future members of the intelligence community told us all about the Russian Laptop disinformation program on the eve of an election. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being :::yawn::: and 10 being "wow!!" docudramas rank a 2 or 3 for me. I can remember when Oliver Stone's film had me thinking Tommy Lee Jones killed off JFK. I'm not even sure he was even in Dallas in '63.

Don’t be embarrassed, that whole hooker thing tripped up Eliot Spitzer, too. Remember when he got arrested, and the trial of the century that followed? And, of course, Andrew Cuomo and cooked COVID books, spreading COVID to our elderly and of course his arrest on the sexual assault of female staffers. Thankfully no one is above the law.

Israel and Iran

No Fuzzy Lumpkins, I wasn’t criticizing getting Brittney Grenier back, though I think JB was weak in that regard and Putin knew he could roll him. In fact, Hamas apparently knows how to roll him too. It is interesting how you see things when it’s Israeli men, women and children being brutalized. You’re actually convinced that demanding the release of all kidnapped citizens as a condition of the ceasefire is a bad idea. -

So Biden, famous for adapting the tragic story of his son’s death to meet circumstances—and who traded an arms dealer for a lady who broke the laws of another country—is down with playing politics on hostages both alive and dead? I understand we disagree on many issues, and I’ve stayed out of this for the most part, but wtf is this all about? Broker the ceasefire. Squeeze Israel to return some prisoners who will ultimately rejoin the fight. But why on earth would he proposed this ghoulish plan? The only way this makes sense is in the scenario where the bodies are so defiled that he wants Israel out of Gaza to lessen the likelihood of response. Why would Israel accept it? -

Point of clarification, I never said that’s what the Dems want. Roundy and I were having a convo the other day and he shared some thoughts on urban life, youngsters and automobile angst. I had asked if he had thoughts on a model city that fit the bill, but hadn’t heard back yet. In the interim, the mind wanders and next thing you know, bing bang boom I’ve conjured up Roundy as a low level/high functioning member of the Prague Municipal National Committee. That’s on me, I have to own it. -
Of course, the collective is all about choice! However, your tiny, off-the-grid house will be reimagined on your behalf into 118 square feet of vanilla-puddin-colored walls on the 38th floor of a cold war inspired Praguesque maisonette, with a view of some other old-ball-sacked retiree doing naked squat thrusts in front of the window without blinds in the building next door. *Prague/maisonette=European vibe, and you're welcome.

That's the beauty of a podpartment, you will be free from decisions regarding choices of fixtures, clothing, paint color, furniture, appliances, cutlery, dishware etc. Oh, and on your toothbrush--everyone gets a toothbrush. And hot water every third day. It's liberating, actually, and never mind that noise from the podpartment above/below/either side.
