that's fair. it's part of the story. how one chooses to see that in relation to everyone else out there is up to them. the guy is an exceptional qb anyway you slice it. he'll be ok.

I don't want to say I started this, but...

I loaned Ralph Wilson $12,500 in the early 60s. He told me he was getting a mcdonalds franchise but you know Ralph, a real silly heart. -

many, many, many, many people, properly motivated, willing to commit to the good/bad/ugly can be a teacher. most people, even properly motivated and willing to commit to the good/bad/ugly cannot tyrod a taylor. it's a function of math. and excitement. and people. -
ALynn being interviewed today...

The league is littered with go-to coordinators who screwed the pooch as hc's. you could argue we just fired one. I was listening to all short list of names a week or two ago, and invariably, they come from teams with above average qb play. I think you can argue that A. Lynn's performance, in the context of how his year played out, showed the type of leadership qualities you would want in a head coach. Obviously, you can go the other way and point to his lack of experience over the long haul. I don't see a lot of sense in handwringing once the decision is made. Whomever it is, nothing else matters until they get back in the playoffs. -
GM Doug Whaley's end of season press conference
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's not a fan, he's a professional journalist, and his question was deliberate. It's hostile, intentionally so, in hopes of prompting a quotable response. To be clear, if the reporter doesn't like the answer, or the answer prompts him to write his opinion piece trashing Whaley, so be it. There are plenty of reasons to be concerned about the Bills, and plenty to write about, but have some class. -

Perfectly understandable that a guy would deliberately be a douche, but follow up with how he didn't mean to be a douche, all the while fully understanding that he and he alone actively pursued douchebaggery. -

I'm thinking it's because Shady didn't spend 4 games on the shelf due to repeated issues that keep him on the field when his hammy is healthy. -
Time management, end of 2Q yesterday...discuss...
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well they irritate me as well. i actually thought the 2 min drill sense of urgency was vastly improved over the past year or two, there have been times when we were down in games I'd be screaming at the tv to move it a bit. i recall gannon's yammering and thought he was prematurely critical. but that's his job, and i agree there is lots of room for improvement on the offense. in that case, i thought the 3 was a decent outcome all things considered. -

yeesh. I'm hard-pressed to read the entire eball post and come anywhere close to 'b*tching'. and not to be critical, but in today's world, using phrases like "people like ____" is both a microagression and somethingaphobic. -
Trump, Rex and the NFL
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Billsrhody's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
again, I'm missing something here. Rex introduced Trump at a Trump rally, not at a Buffalo Bills practice. How is that different than following your sensible adage: "Practice what you believe, vote for who you prefer but do not try to inflict your beliefs on anyone else and respect those whose beliefs differ." was there another event? -

was the stage in the workplace? regardless of my politics, I'd support mao tse tung if he brought a SB to Buffalo. -
Trump, Rex and the NFL
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Billsrhody's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
he might be a jerk...but be consistent. there is nothing in the anonymous storio from florio that he brought politics into the workplace...just that a or some player(s) looked differently upon him for doing so. that's reflective of nothing more than....the world, since the beginning of organized politics. -
Trump, Rex and the NFL
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Billsrhody's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
dave, it's funny you say this. as a conservative, it stuns me to see where we are at with trump. However, I understand the reaction to the same old business as usual for many middle to right leaning people. the republicans take control of the house and senate and nothing really changed. what really amazes me, on the other hand, though, is that Clinton was, is and has been the heir apparent to the democrat party. in spite of her obvious, documented and debated flaws---she wasn't a groundswell candidate--she was The Chosen. to me, that's even more pathetic. -
Trump, Rex and the NFL
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Billsrhody's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
trump hit the nail on the head. 30+ years in the "service" of the public, and all she's go to show for it is a (very likely) tax-favored estate estimated couple hundred mill, a hundred-fifty grand a speech from the wall streeters she's going to rally against, a laundry list of misdeeds toward victims of her husband's lecherous ways, disdain for millions of melting pot Americans that fall into her basket of deporables and irredeemables (and that, to me has an oddly Pol Pot sorta vibe to it when she says it) if for no other reason than they don't like her politics, an inability to understand even the most basic security protocol, a habit of lying about where she was and what happened when she was there and to boot, is apparently as careless and reckless as a $5 hooker at a bill clinton all-night banger. but, yeah, he's no prize either. what a train wreck. -

if I was on the janitorial staff I'd be concerned about job security. -
I think from an emotional standpoint, "jumping the gun" would have been appropriate for a fan who said "After this crushing loss, I can't see us making the playoffs for the next 17 years." on January 9, 2000. The fact that it likely would have been accurate is beside the point.

I haven't seen the show, but sounds reasonable enough. I don't know seantrel as a person, certainly don't know the ins and outs of crohn's disease and can only feel badly for the guy in that respect. it's the human thing to do. I can only imagine the pain the marcel dareus' life, and as you pointed out, there are a boatload of enablers and hangers on to go with some life changing money to boot. that's got to be tough in it's own weird, pampered way. all that said, I just want to watch a decent football team play football. I have no issues calling marcel dareus or seantrel Henderson the buffalo bills football player(s) dumbass(es),because it takes away from that, at least in theory. at the same time, they likely could give less than a **** what I think, and I don't take that personally either. all the rest of this crap is one long oprah moment as far as I'm concerned.
