  1. Let’s drill down on that though—as we see @Tiberius has created a whole separate narrative on what Mueller said and did. It’s a figment of his imagination, but it suits his point of view. It’s not that they are ignorant to the facts as you laid them out, it’s that in furtherance of their political leanings, they convince themselves that it’s ok because everyone does it.
  2. This was your chance--right here, and you came up small in a big moment. While I distrust both Mueller and his motives, let's ee this through.....Mueller exposed Russia....and? Here, I'll help you help yourself: https://www.americanbar.org/news/abanews/aba-news-archives/2019/03/mueller-concludes-investigation/ The special counsel found that Russia did interfere with the election, but “did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in these efforts, despite multiple efforts from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign.” That the Russians attempted to influence American culture and impact the outcome of the elections is not in dispute. If you've been paying attention over the past few decades---and I'm not certain you have or can--that's nothing new. It's not groundbreaking intel, and if you're naive enough to be drawn in by the fact that nations pry/attempt to shape outcomes in other nations, that's on you (again). You're being confronted with facts, and when the facts don't match your narratives, you resort to spouting gibberish. Be better.
  3. That's it boyo, dig in deep and pull that mud over your eyes. Putin. Trump. and Mueller, too. Mueller was in on it for sure. This is you: 🙈🙉🙊
  4. Yes, the leadership pushes forward knowing that people like Tibsy won't pick up on the shape shifting nature of their politics. The reality is they don't. When you think about it, it wasn't even 4 years between "the election was hijacked by Russians!" and "OMG our elections are unimpeachable!". The following statement from major players in the democrat party set the stage nicely for a second straight round of democrat election denialism should Trump have won. This statement was made a mere 11 months before 2020 election. It's a mainstream concept and we can expect much, much more it moving forward. People like Tibsy lack the self-reflection gene. https://www.warren.senate.gov/oversight/letters/warren-klobuchar-wyden-and-pocan-investigate-vulnerabilities-and-shortcomings-of-election-technology-industry-with-ties-to-private-equity Three private equity-owned election technology vendors serve 90% of eligible voters but fail to sufficiently innovate, improve, and protect deteriorating voting systems; Election security experts have noted for years that our nation's voting systems and election infrastructure are under serious threat
  5. The simplicity of your explanation yields clues to why you're easily manipulated. You, as an extreme leftist, are as much a part of the problem as those on the extreme right, Tibsy, probably more given you bought into the collusion narrative long before Trump even considered stop the steal. It worked though, so we can all expect that will continue to be a concept used in mainstream American politics. I don't know if it's possible at your stage of life to unwind all the BS you've willingly consumed in your life, but you should try.
  6. I think the Dems spread election misinformation, engaged in election denialism, and lied about evidence tying Trump to the Russians. I think they considered the historical perspective of McCarthyism, how well it worked and for how long, and weighed that against the damage claiming our electoral system was hijacked and illegitimate, and knew once people dove all in, they could change the narrative and folks like you would buy it. I think even they are probably amazed at how well it worked, so much so that I’m a 4 year period, they could get you to go from “the election was stolen” to “My God people actually believe elections can be stolen??!”. These are the facts Tibs. If you still think the 2016 election was stolen by Trump/Russia, you’re why this sort of thing happens.
  7. Look, I worked hard for that Frendkle set up and you’re walking all over it! Absent interacting with crazies, which has happened a few times in my life, I find people are much more willing to engage in respectful dialogue face to face. I’m never going to convince a hard core activist on either side of the debate, but I’m not really interested in their views anyways. My liberal friends have every right to point out Trump’s inadequacies, and there are things I think politically that have some legs. His decision not to reel are his tax returns, for example. Never mind they were never going to show anything beyond he’s a wealthy guy filing the tax returns of the wealthy. On the other hand, in personal conversations, when confronted with mountains of evidence that Dems claimed Trump was not a legitimate president, was elected after a coup, and guilty of treason—-really, what can they say? I’m completely ready, willing and able to handle the Dems are innocent of such things, but it never happens.
  8. One of the more interesting parts of this sad saga is that when folks on the other side lob bombs—calling people ignorant, simps, cultists etc—what they never deal with is the reality that democrats spread election misinformation, mislead the public, lied about what they had, and the fact that the entire ruse can be traced back to their leadership. Meanwhile, they’ve relied on the old adage that “…everyone knows…” that Trump has run a criminal enterprise for decades but has been far too crafty to be caught. As Chi said a while back, some of this stuff is hard to prove. Or, that Dems (likely) played politics on the 1/6 committee and tapped out. Or, that Dems, who, btw p, allowed the country to tear itself apart while concealing the Clinton/DNC connection to the Russia hoax, went soft. It remind me of the original airing of “War of the Worlds”, but with the twist that when the locals were presented with evidence it was just a well-played fanciful tale, mass hysteria kicks in and half the population screams “Everyone knows that’s what Martians would say!”.
  9. Then let it be mine, and yours be yours. That’s the point of tolerance. Live, let live. Consider, for a moment, if we all stopped being less Frenkle, and more Friendkle?
  10. Choose tolerance, Frenx. And it’s “altar”, ya maroon.
  11. Trump exposed his throat to his enemies here, likely figuring since classified docs go missing after high profile people leave office, no one says anything. The consequences are easy to see thereafter. That said, the MSM and CNN in particular have a lousy track record on news stories related to Trump. in spite of secret sources deep in the bowels of the Russia investigation, they were way behind the curve on what actually happened. When the classified files came into play, they seemed to have no idea that this sort of thing has gone on for decades with democrats and republicans alike. They missed on the IC misleading the country on the Biden laptop and the discovery of classified material at Biden’s houses just prior to thr My only question is whether it was incompetence or they deliberately fed a false narrative to an easily influenced base. Maybe this time they get it right, but I’ll wait.
  12. I’m sure that’s a high quality and relevant clip, but I’ll pass. Maybe you can explain the connection you made. Use your words, again.
  13. I recognize the pathological desire to bypass one’s own hypocrisy, and forgo commentary on Team Biden, his daughter’s diary, his son’s hook ups with his brother’s widow, the crack thing, the denial of paternity, the truth about paternity, the stripper pole and Joe’s refusal to engage with his grandchild. But..what exactly is the “trailer park” angle you see here?
  14. The debt ceiling deal was not made prior to the 2020 election, Red, when folks like yourself voted the party line and all that came with it. I’m all for respectful dialogue but you’re starting to sound a bit like JB. Soon you’ll be calling me Molly Hatchet.
  15. Hey Buff…I have a true small business—less than 10 employees and no, I have not been approached on anything related to social credit modeling. Well, let me clarify—my retirement plan is with Vanguard and periodically I will receive marketing material dealing with this sort of thing. I have an old 401K that is in the process of being moved to a new custodian and I am concerned about that transition. I have no desire to sacrifice return in exchange for socially conscious investing, though I can see where some might. More on the cultural issue later…
  16. Sure, but your guy(s) spread election misinformation, your guy(s) lied about evidence tying Trump to the Kremlin, fostered and encouraged national discord, spread COVID misinformation and vax confusion, and the leader of the crew stumbles around like a punch drunk boxer making all sorts of claims that reflect immaturity, dumbassery, and lies to rival the old guy. These facts are indisputable. In the end, people vote for ideas that help them at home. It would be silly to argue that some people voted for Biden because they didn’t like Trump—of course that happened. Importantly though— policy matters , for example—it sure gets a lot easier to vote for the tired old punch drunk boxer when he offers to take care of a your personal debt. It’s silly to argue otherwise.
  17. It’s ongoing social dialogue, some people are interested, some quite passionately. It would seem that DM is a master marketer, popping up from time to time and likely making quite a bit of money in the process. A few years back it was the 16 Kids and Counting family. To me, the interesting part is the corporation deciding they didn’t like their client base. As a small business owner, I really don’t understand that. AB will survive, perhaps flourish again. For me, it wasn’t about beer cans with DM, it was the whole “we want to move away from our core buyers”. As for sports, I agree with you. I have compassion for people struggling with gender identity and hope they find happiness, but the answer that a female athlete is a female athlete so long as they are able to reach/sustain designated testosterone levels through medical manipulation seems contradictory at a minimum. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  18. Hold on a moment here, L. Ronald. Anheuser-Busch made DM the story, and likely did so after weighing the pros and cons of doing so. In fact, I think the story goes that the marketing director wanted to move away from the traditional bread/butter Bud Light consumer and this was part of the strategy. Early returns suggest it’s been successful in that regard. That’s newsworthy. I understand that you don’t care about the story, but surely you would concede AB had an angle they were working here. Sometimes a company think it’s time to go new coke, but find out later that maybe just staying true to old coke. I’m with you on the rest, though. Respect for others should be the default…but the whole sports thing….yeesh.
  19. "The Russia info"...? Is that what the kids are calling it? It was a wholesale assault on the notion of free and fair elections, and election denialism (and in some cases, allegations of treason and a coup were raised) of the highest order by virtually every prominent democrat in the country. It just aligned with your political views. As for being 'powerless', quite the contrary. Prior to Trump taking up the flag on stolen elections---you and yours were all for outrageous claims that the 2016 election was illegitimate, even though the Mueller report ended up in the trash bin. I think you're getting exactly what you told the dem leadership you wanted---from government persecution to the intelligence community spreading false stories about potentially damaging information to FISA abuse etc. Your only standard is it has to be in your party's favor--and you got that when you voted in a 5 decade establishment politician. I'm not sure what more you are looking for.
  20. Except that’s not the way it works, and it never has. Power has its privileges, and drawing this particular line in the sand means next to nothing in context. Bill Clinton commits perjury, Eliot Spitzer traffics in call girls, Andre Cuomo cooks the books on nursing home deaths and is directly responsible for many, and W Bush lies about intelligence and war for oil. What they all have in common is they get off, scottso freezo (as an old friend used to say, RIP). To belabor a point we discussed the other day, Dems going around spreading election misinformation and withholding information critical to the published Russia narrative is approached completely differently than Trump’s “stop the steal” program. The establishment allows for politicians to deliberately and at times catastrophically lie/misrepresent and contribute to public unrest. It happens because it works, and the reality is that in spite of clear laws governing the handling of classified information, Donald Trump will be handled by a completely different standard than Joe Biden and his decades of disregard for the laws that govern the rest of us. So, yeah, in a perfect world, everyone gets the same carrot and stick. In reality, it’s imperative to understand the rules of the game and conduct oneself accordingly. Stop the steal is Ilegitimate Election/Russian collusion.
  21. I don't know. Here's the way it played out before the child was born: Some days, Grandpa thinks Iraq is in Bethesda, Maryland; Crack-addicted son caused such a fuss prior to the election that members of the intelligence community intervened with completely made up propoganda piece worthy of Vlad Putin; The widow of his son who died..somewhere....making googly-eyes at the crack-addicted brother-in-law, and likely slipping out to knock boots in the old man's classic Corvette and perhaps leaving bodily fluids all over the box holding classified documents; The crack-addicted son, generally; The daughter the old man maybe showered with up through senior prom hoping Dr. Jill puts her at the other end of the table; Seem to me the child would be the least of his concerns.
  22. I know, but there is a part of me that just can't wrap my head around him trampling on the memory of his son this way. I would think he was heart-broken when he died, it was a family tragedy and something anyone with a child would be devastated over. @The Frankish Reich feels it broke him on some level, but that doesn't make sense to me. Of course, even with all that considered, he spoke of the death of his middle aged son to impart some weird "I'm the same as you" when speaking to families who lost family members/children directly through the horrors of war. Even that is distasteful in my opinion. Let them have their day.
  23. https://nypost.com/2023/05/29/biden-admits-beau-died-from-cancer-and-didnt-perish-in-iraq-just-11-days-after-saying-son-died-at-war/ It gets harder to figure out whether or not he's just losing it, or intent on co-opting valor for professional gain. On the one hand, he was full-throated on the speech about diversity in the armed forces. He sounded coherent and clear, which is a nice change. Given his history of spinning tall tales and outright lies about things he claims to have done--it's certainly not inconceivable that he wants to leverage the tragedy and knows he could tell his supporters his son died taking Iwo Jima and they would rationalize it away. On the other hand, his recent fall, coupled with the every changing story of his son's death makes me think cognitive/physical decline are accelerating. Either way, @Irv, the guy is a mess.
  24. Forgive. That’s what J would D. Jeesh, don’t you have any books in the Frenkle house?
