Oh, you're actually a redtail hawk? Interesting. 🥱
-
Classic. You lob insults about being in a cult and intellect, but wilt when confronted with an honest reply in kind. How shocking. I have no idea what you are trying to say with your edit. What's truly ironic is that you thought you were making sense.

I think that extremists, like Kemp, hold extreme views. That's a universal truth and transcends political ideology. While I appreciate the work you put in here, I'm comfortable with the thoughts I shared with Kemp.

No, I’m right. I usually am. You can’t tiptoe around a guy who screams cult every time he loses control of his emotions, and becomes enraged when a question on guilt or innocence is answered rationally. He doesn’t like my answer, but that’s his problem, not mine.
-
No, I write to you like you’re a bloviating, clueless sycophant parroting insults fed to you by others. I speak to you like you’re a run of the mill internet numbnut incapable of dialogue beyond the microscopic grid of issues you are capable of managing. I speak to you with the full knowledge that if we met in person and had this version of dialogue, one of three things would happen: You would find it in yourself to be civil, close-minded though you might be; You would move along, quietly, no tough guy posturing; When issues involving the Biden’s specifically, and Dems and stolen elections specifically, you would bluster, stutter and yell something like “strawman”, “projection” or “I don’t want to talk about that!”; I’d suggest you stop allowing your rage to define your day. I’m not responsible for the things that may have not have gone your way in life. I’m not responsible for your fixed-mindset, your inability to think beyond the edge of your partisan silliness, or the hatred in your heart. As for your defense of democrats, their continuous and repeated attacks on our free and fair elections of 2016….there is precious little difference between you and the extremists who overran the Capitol on 1/6. You’re positively Trumpian in that regard. In spite of that, I hope your today is better than your yesterday, and I’m keeping a good thought for you.

Seems like a solid message to me to me about community, sharing a burden, and helping out those victimized by crime and criminals.

Hollywood is collapsing

On that, we agree. Generally, though his is 3 times in the past ten days we almost agree, 4 if you count agreeing on Red Box still being around. These are breakthrough moments, for reelz. -

Yup--there's one near my house. Listen, we don't agree on much, but if this COLLAPSE occurs, I'll send you a couple movies (PG13 max) as I don't plan on returning anything. Every good apocalypse movie suggests one of the first things to go is the large metal box with DVDs in it. Zombie stand, temporary jail, whatever, they come in handy. -

I don't know about you, but I'm heading over to the RedBox to rent as many videos as I can. The crash is a'comin! -
Hollywood is collapsing

Holy smokes BillSy, Media Megamogul and notorious Hollywood bon vivant Barry "Fillith" Diller used nearly those exact words: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/barry-diller-executives-stars-25-percent-pay-cut-strike-1235537951/ “What will happen is, if in fact, it doesn’t get settled until Christmas or so, then, next year, there’s not going to be many programs for anybody to watch,” Diller predicted. “So, you’re going to see subscriptions get pulled, which is going to reduce the revenue of all these movie companies, television companies, the result of which is that there will be no programs. And at just the time, strike is settled, that you want to get back up, there won’t be enough money. So this actually will have devastating effects, if it is not settled soon.” He continued: “The truth is, this [Hollywood] is a huge business both domestically and for world export.… These conditions will potentially produce an absolute collapse of an entire industry.” -
We've been over this. You probably forgot because you're typically in a rage when posting. Trump will be guilty when he's found guilty, acquitted when he's acquitted, or plea when he plea bargains out. This is basic stuff, Kemp, and know that I know I'm helping you. I do know he claimed the election was stolen, and I don't think the election was stolen. I know that same claim was made 4 years earlier, by democrats, repeatedly and that you bought it because you're easily manipulated. Not particularly bright or introspective, but loyal. I know you're ok with the dems doing it because you're a party loyalist. I think that makes you a useful stooge--easily controllable and suitably pliable. Which felon has been President, Red?

That's been established. The only question is why? -
Knowing your complicated perspective as I do, I can understand you feeling this way.

Hollywood is collapsing
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
At the same time, there is an ongoing strike with actors/screenwriters in essence suggesting that absent changes to the system, the end is nigh. Sometimes it's hard to know exactly when the apocalypse is coming. -
Frank has standards, you see, but his standards have been baptized in the waters of hypocrisy and sanctimony.

He was in Deadwood(saw that on his bio), great series. Always nice when people are nice. Tell him if he sees Bill Hader, he was awesome in Barry. -

If your friend is Bill Hader, he was awesome in Barry. Just finished it last night. Seems reasonable enough. I'm a big believer in the people producing the movie/production choosing who they want to play the part. I think people not producing, financing nor contributing to the production beyond observer are welcome to their opinion, but it's mostly irrelevant. I also think your bias is showing when the dark-skinned actress has to be an orphan. Plus, orphan's always have red hair and freckles, I think. -
My goodness you're seeing spies everywhere! Mike Pence did the right thing. It's a shame he's the fall guy in some people's eyes, but he's a big boy and he'll handle it. There is a difference between you and me, Red, but it's not about 1/6 and Mike Pence. The difference is you supported claims of stolen and illegitimate elections, preposterous though they were, and I did not. You were cool with the first one (2016), but not the second one (2020). I think both were an affront to decency and democracy, but if that's the way the game is played, what can one do? In fact, I have no doubt that had an honest democrat spoken out against the national trauma inflicted upon the country during the Russia hoax and Mueller --and to be clear, there weren't any to be found--mainstream dems and supporters would have Penced him or worse. You would probably be one of them. I haven't partaken in the Epps thread to any great degree. Applying critical thinking skills, it would seem unlikely that law enforcement wouldn't have a source/plant in the crowd. Law enforcement partnered with notorious gangster Whitey Bulger, for example. I'm not always sure that's the wisest idea, or morally correct, and surely innocent people are victimized as a result, but it is what it is. Bottom line for me, he's neither villain nor hero to me. That is all.

Thank you, Mike Pence.

Organic uncatalyzed violence is the best violence of all, I'm told.
-
Recent 911 call on COPS Operator: 911, what is your emergency? Victim: My house has been set ablaze, my dog shot, and I was physically assaulted with a baseball bat. O: Can you describe the violence? V: I feel like I just did. O: Was it organic violence? V: Yes, several of my organs were impacted by the violence. I believe I have a collapsed lung, a bruised liver and kidneys, and several broken ribs; O: Ok, was the violence catalyzed? V: I don't know what that means? O: Me neither, but it's on the sheet. This is Portland breh. V. LOL. It hurts to laugh, and I'm bleeding from the rectum. O: LOL. Ok, we'll get a car out to you in a few hours.

I'm not so certain that relying on the thoughts of these particular relatives is necessarily where you want to get your intel. These Kennedy kids tend to be involved in drownings, sexual assault(s), plane crashes, DWIs, addiction and murder at a robust rate. Where there's smoke, it's not unusual to find a Kennedy.

We can agree to disagree on your composure, and mine if you like. Let's just agree not to be existential threats to each other.
-
Settle down. Regain your composure. Remember that fools rush in. You'll be fine. I'll be fine. "Existential threat' sounds ominous in a Jack Ryan/Tom Clancy way, but when you use it, it sorta seems like you found a list of big words on your dad's desk and are trying to claim them as your own. Let's be civil.
