  1. We can agree to disagree on your composure, and mine if you like. Let's just agree not to be existential threats to each other.
  2. Settle down. Regain your composure. Remember that fools rush in. You'll be fine. I'll be fine. "Existential threat' sounds ominous in a Jack Ryan/Tom Clancy way, but when you use it, it sorta seems like you found a list of big words on your dad's desk and are trying to claim them as your own. Let's be civil.
  3. Listen. You're closed minded and tend to view people in terms of stereotypes. That happens, but you already missed on my feelings of January 6. The courteous move would be to acknowledge that you jumped to the wrong conclusion, but not everyone has the same standards when it comes to false accusations. I have no interest in discussing the things you've identified as 'classics', so agaib, Sect three with a swing and a miss. I think it's pretty common for people like you to paint with a broad brush, and while it doesn't make you a bad person, it makes you look sorta silly.
  4. Of course not, but when you are completely dialed out to reality--as you and S3 perpetually seem to be, it's a symptom of a bigger problem.
  5. You stop that. Scorched earth indeed. Obvious and irrefutable. Time machines, a guy named Rudy and sausage are on the S3 menu today. Strange.
  6. I understand completely the visceral reaction to Trump (though odds were pretty high he was going to be re-elected before that bat bit that monkey in Wuhan). There were countless angles to attack him as a candidate...his business dealing, multiple affairs, general reputation, status as a billionaire, the many outrageous things he said, refusal to release tax returns. When those traditional political attacks didn't work, the dems went full on Joseph McCarthy. Outrageous claims followed. Lies about stolen elections. Lies about illegitimate presidencies. At the outset, I was partially convinced the dems MUST have had something overwhelmingly convincing to knock him out. I could not believe rank and file dem voters would fall for the McCarthy scam yet again. Yet, they did--hook, line and sinker. When the Russia train ran out of steam, they were guided to obstruction, and off they went. It's been interesting to be sure.
  7. You're retired hitting the cruise ship circuit. I think you think you're seeing Pete Rose doing his Charlie Hustle thing. "HE'S RETIRED GRANPA!".
  8. Sect sometimes swings for the fences, pretty certain the ump is blind (orMAGA!) when he's caught looking at strike 3. It happens. Biden became the president the day he was elected. Seems straightforward enough to me, but some people perpetually need a boogeyman to rage at. Hillary Clinton as a beacon of light and decency was pretty funny though, you gotta give him that.
  9. I've made no excuses for anyone storming the Capitol. I've supported prosecuting wrongdoers since day one via the typical process--investigate, arrest, indict, and follow common sense guidelines as it relates to speedy trial(s), jail time, bail and the like. My biggest problem with 1/6, beyond the malcontents assaulting police and wandering through the building, was that no one really seems all that interested in determining how the Capitol Police and Washington generally got rickrolled by a guy in a Toys-R-US Grizzly Bear suit and those with him. Maybe in your haste to label deplorables as sanctioned by your leadership, you got to thinking everyone holds one point of view? As for the actions of democrats, generally, the entire Trump presidency reflected one long action to unseat him, divide (and perhaps, destroy) the country in an attempt to regain power. From bogus Russian conspiracies, to Clinton conspiring with foreign actors hostile to our system, to withholding critical information from the American people, to lies about the election of Trump being illegitimate and stolen, 51 intelligence gurus wrong 51 times, the only moral high ground you hold is in your head. I'm all for going back to a time when the opposition didn't accuse the other of treason and theft of the election...but that wasn't 2016. When the prom queen lost, you people lost your damn minds and your sense of balance. Rest assured though, this is not the first time people in leadership positions convinced the emotionally malleable that actions they would speak out against in the third world make perfect sense to pursue the agenda.
  10. Hogwash, top to bottom. It's an ugly business and democrats generally, and Clinton the lesser specifically, launch exactly that sort of rhetoric on a regular basis. From deplorable and irredeemable to vast right wing conspiracies to 'go'n put y'all in chains' to claims of stolen/ illegitimate elections and Russian hookers and on and on, it's an ugly business across the board.
  11. So, you brought up Clinton in an RFK Jr thread, directed it to me because I thought the headline about RFK Jr was deceptive, with the ultimate goal of outing yourself as a hatemonger because MAGA made you do it? Strong play for a Monday, Hawk. On the other hand, generally, you made the point I've made for 7 years and counting. You're ok with hatred and foolishness as long as the target is other than you, or you support the agenda of the person lobbing the shots. That is a problem in politics today.
  12. You could write a book about Clinton’s hateful and troubling remarks about 40,000,000+/- citizens, most of it centered on how her supporters fervently embraced the notion without question or reflection. Still, my point here was about misleading headlines. Time to move on.
  13. This is just tragic. She holds the lady down with a pillowcase while she;s being brutalized, then stabs her multiple times herself. I saw an interview where she lamented how Manson got in her head. I would be fine with a life sentence being served in full.
  14. That’s the RFK Jr tell. He has to answer for that, as every politician making inflammatory remarks does. I am, and have been, addressing the NY Post tell. In other words, the headline is deceptive and manipulative, and it’s completely unnecessary regardless of how unreasonable the comments were.
  15. But it’s not a characterization, Frank, it’s a declaration. There’s a difference, and it’s unnecessary and manipulative.
  16. Well, now I have to go and respect you for your honesty. That’s something. On the other hand, you present as a craft beer zealot, probably just a couple IPAs away from lopping off the head(s) of non-believers crushing silver bullets. This is a dilemma. Time for Barry Manilow.
  17. The link you linked says this: https://nypost.com/2023/07/15/rfk-jr-says-covid-was-ethnically-targeted-to-spare-jews/ Did he say that? He says there are questions, but he does not declare that Jews were spared. He also talks about ethnic targeting of bioweapons, and that’s hardly a new idea nor particulars controversial, is it? It’s less than a two minute clip and as you’ve suggested, he hangs himself on his comments if one is inclined to see it that way. Let his comments tell the story. Or, preferably, let members of the democrat voting bloc support him in large numbers. I’m serious, I think he appeals to many democrats.
  18. That makes little sense given his polling numbers. I’d think he offers appeal to traditionally vaxx skeptic individuals—many democrats of course, especially when viewing COVID protocol and hypocrisy in the rear view mirror.
  19. If he keeps polling at 20%, I say we listen to what the man has to say and keep him in the race. Btw, the Post story is deliberately misleading. RFK is clear on what he said, crazy or not. I never understand why these publications feel the need to rework and recreate dialogue, and why they are surprised when their credibility suffers.
  20. For decades, R voters have noted how the mystique of the Kennedy clan overcame a woman being left to drown in a car, a 10 hour walkabout after the car went in, ties to organized crime, allegations of sexual assault and rape, the Marilyn Monroe thruple, addictions, hypocrisy,JFK Jr recklessly responsible for wiping out a family, influence peddling, only to find RFK JR a bridge too far for democrats. COVID is the most lethal virus ever. It may have done it Camelot.
  21. From the looks of him, he doesn’t appear old enough to have a drug addicted ne’er-do-well son who could work for a shady energy company in a notoriously corrupt nation who could get the old man to fire one-count em one—individual in exchange for a billion dollars in aid, then return home, make sweet sweet skin chime music with his decreased brother’s widow before becoming an expert art person.
  22. There's a balance there. However, one of my individual pet peeves is educated and supposedly learned people who are emotionally soft. It's difficult for me to trust them, and this guy falls into that category. Spare me the 'woe is me' BS, spare me how you and yours should be considered beyond reproach, and get to the point. People were mean to you. Toughen the %$# up. True story. When one loses control or feeling in the Great Toe, it's referred to as Toelio. Ok that's not true, but it should be. I heard that gout can be very, very painful. Hope you feel better soon.
  23. Yeah, but it gives a whole "Contagion" angle to it, which psychologically screws with the emotions of the masses. Even now, I feel like Redtailhawk looks like a homelier version of Dustin Hoffman.
  24. Hans C. Andersen died in 1875, so I don't think it was him. I read through the manifesto, and it's helpful to understand his persepective on the big picture. It's obviously self-serving to a large degree, so that must be considered as well. He also seems to have a bit of a God complex and clearly doesn't appreciate being judged for his actions.
  25. @The Frankish Reich I'm a Coors Light, Corona drinker, enjoy a Guiness or Black and Tan every now and again. I'd drink Bud Light before the dust-up, but it would probably be the last choice if other stated options were available. What's with the judgey "horrible taste" take? The product sold well because people bought it in large numbers for consumption. What's next, you guys trash talk some poor guy enjoying a Kit Kat because you prefer your fancy Cadbury Caramilk or Aero candy bar? I'm over here enjoying a Kit Kat, contemplating a Coors Light later and..well, I'm listening to ABBA. There, I said it. ABBA. I have no plans to go out and buy some craft beer made in the 'brewery' of some dopey real estate attorney/brewmaster, knowing full well the 'brewery' is his moldy basement and his kids likely dropped some snot-laced Leggo into his swill when the babysitter wasn't paying attention. Go to h3ll, the both of you.
