  1. The bolded statement is my theory.
  2. might you have used another email ID when you signed up?
  3. States with Medical Cannabis Report Fewer Traffic Fatalities Some here like to claim the opposite would certainly be the case. "Why add another drug to the mix?" IMO, there is a certain amount of substituting of cannabis for alcohol and opiates happening in medical cannabis states, resulting in safer roads. https://www.leafly.com/news/politics/states-medical-cannabis-report-fewer-traffic-fatalities According to a new study in the American Journal of Public Health, states that have implemented medicinal cannabis law have reported lower numbers of traffic fatalities than states that do not have such laws.
  4. Probably change the name of team too. Hmmm, unique sponsorship deal....furry orange helmets.....introducing your Buffalo ShockTops
  5. We would be tired of winning by now I bet
  6. I am just guessing but I think this ruling clearly stating that all cannabis extracts are schedule 1 and under the DEA's control, is setting the stage for FDA approval of cannabis medicines. Currently many companies are selling CBD extracts (across state lines) in the USA. A couple of other companies, like GW Pharmaceuticals, have been performing the typical 3 phase new drug trials in an effort to get FDA approval of their drugs. If the FDA eventually grants approval to GW's cannabis based drugs, those drugs would have less competition with CBD or THC extracts produced by other companies that have not performed typical new drug trials. http://www.fool.com/investing/2016/12/19/this-marijuana-stock-is-up-1187-is-there-more-room.aspx
  7. DEA designates CBD extracts to be schedule 1 controlled substance, same as THC extracts. http://www.forbes.com/sites/debraborchardt/2016/12/19/a-new-battle-is-sparked-between-dea-and-cbd-makers/#6b1fd5394a77 Last Wednesday, the DEA slipped an update in the Federal Register that established a new drug code for marijuana extracts. The move panicked the industry, which is already nervous with the new administration coming in. Millions are at stake for several publicly traded companies that have invested years in marketing products based on the extract called canabidiol, or CBD.
  8. Can Cannabis Help with Inflammation for Athletes? https://www.leafly.com/news/health/can-cannabis-help-athletes-inflammation One possible alternative to prescription painkillers may come from certain components of the cannabis plant. Recent studies have found that cannabis could possibly reduce inflammation, acting almost like Tylenol. In fact, when comparing the anti-inflammatory potency of THC and other drugs that are on the market, THC has 20 times the anti-inflammatory potency of aspirin, and twice as much as hydrocortisone (Evans 1991).
  9. Good thing Tom saved me. I almost fell for that terrific set up you had there reap
  10. Agree completely. This synthetic stuff is clearly more dangerous than natural cannabis. The only reason people have used this synthetic stuff in the first place is because it won't show up on the usual pee tests for cannabis usage. People that enjoyed cannabis but were forbidden and tested by their employers, bought this stuff rather than natural cannabis.
  11. At Michigan, Compher looked like he could develop into a pretty good play maker. I didn't like it that the Sabres dealt him. I guess time will tell.

  16. Now that he is retired, maybe he can try this. Seems to work for some, work somewhat for others by reducing events each month, and for another group, makes headaches worse. https://www.painnewsnetwork.org/stories/2016/1/17/medical-marijuana-may-reduce-migraine-headaches
  17. Just to follow up on cost barriers to NY cannabis use and insurance coverage for NY doctors recommending cannabis.... Using the website below I was able to find a list of doctors near suburban Buffalo (Hamburg). Their fees are listed and if you hit their 'view profile' button and scroll down a bit, you'll see they do not accept insurance. I checked about a dozen and none accepted insurance. Essentially your assumption was incorrect, doc. Cost is a barrier to cannabis use and typically these recommending doctors do not accept insurance for cannabis related visits. https://www.marijuanadoctors.com/doctor/search?distance=state&location=Hamburg+NY+14075&qf=1

  19. The game is over - Congrats to Ohio State. I saw this today on facebook though and remembered what I didn't like about the game. The pass interference calls, or lack there of. Quite a few of them. Again, congrats on the win. https://www.facebook.com/harbaughgoblue/videos/906108036187767/
  20. Thanks. All we can do is lead them to water, we can't make them want to comprehend.
  21. Buying this cannabis pharmaceutical company a few years ago would have netted you over a 10X gain. Might be something there, eh? http://www.fool.com/investing/2016/11/28/why-this-marijuana-stock-was-a-top-stock-so-far-in.aspx?source=yahoo-2&utm_campaign=article&utm_medium=feed&utm_source=yahoo-2&yptr=yahoo
  22. Just to follow up.... I was wrong when I said that plants couldn't be patented. I apologize for misleading. I brought that up when saying that drug developers make their money during the period of patent protection. This much is true. It appears the issue to this point with cannabis plant patents is the the patent enforcement. Patent law is federal. Complaints on infringement would need to go to federal court. As we know, cannabis is still federally illegal. See the article http://www.insidecounsel.com/2016/06/17/patent-protection-for-marijuana-plants-is-the-holy From the article As of late, patent protection for marijuana plants is the “holy grail” of the marijuana industry. Although federal protection for marijuana related trademarks is prohibited by statute, it doesn’t appear that the patent statutes facially prohibit the patenting of marijuana plants. A patent would provide a marijuana company with the opportunity to litigate against any infringer no matter the state in which they reside or operate. “Enforcing a marijuana patent would still be a risky endeavor for the patentee and accused infringer—such a lawsuit would be extremely high profile and attract federal law enforcement scrutiny—but the threat of enforcement may provide at least some leverage for the patentee against the accused infringer,” he said. To date, there haven’t been any patents issued on particular strains of marijuana plants. Similarly, few patent applications have been published—e.g., only two plant patent applications have been published and both were abandoned during the process. As publication lags patent filing by at least 18 months, Sorocco expects to see more marijuana-related patent applications being published in the near future.
  23. This is not accurate. If the plant was just discovered or if has been genetically modified, it can be patented. Otherwise, no. From the link you provided: As noted in the last paragraph of the statute, the plant patent must also satisfy the general requirements of patentability. The subject matter of the application would be a plant which developed or discovered by applicant, and which has been found stable by asexual reproduction. To be patentable, it would also be required: That the person or persons filing the application are those who actually invented the claimed plant; i.e., discovered or developed and identified or isolated the plant, and asexually reproduced the plant. That the plant has not been sold or released in the United States of America more than one year prior to the date of the application.
