After the doctor cuts them off they will look to buy the same pills on the street. Turns out, they are very expensive on the street. Many addicts turn to stealing and pawning things to pay for the street pills. Eventually they come to the realization that heroin and the pills contain essentially the same thing. Heroin is much cheaper. That is why so many 'take that first hit of heroin'. They are already hooked on opiates before they ever use heroin.

There are a lot of articles/threads regarding brewing with cannabis. It is widely known that cannabis and hops are closely related botanically. The main problem, assuming one wants to instill their beer with not just flavor but with cannabinoids, is that cannabinoids do not dissolve at all well in water, or water based beverages. They do dissolve in alcohol but it seems that the low level of alcohol in the beer is not effective by itself in the cannabinoid extraction. I have read of people extracting the cannabinoids into say vodka first and then adding the enhanced vodka into the beer pretty much to finish. Brewing with cannabis instead of hops can certainly be done but it seems the general consensus is that it is not very effective at extracting the cannabinoids and so is not really worth the expense. http://www.originalweedrecipes.com/make-weed-beer/ http://herb.co/2016/05/16/connection-between-hops-cannabis/ -

DEA is not changing the schedule of Cannabis according to reports. http://www.forbes.com/sites/debraborchardt/2016/08/11/dea-expected-to-reject-rescheduling-instead-expand-researchers/#2aa9a3ed16d8 It had been long rumored that the DEA would reschedule marijuana on August 1, but that day came and went with no action. DEA said late Wednesday that it would issue its response to a congressional petition to reschedule marijuana in the Federal Register on Thursday morning. The DEA is expected to announce that it will turn down requests to remove marijuana from the schedule 1 designation. This means it will refuse to allow the use of marijuana for medical purposes, on the grounds that the drug’s therapeutic value hasn’t been proven scientifically. -
I wasn't trying to be difficult. It was a serious question. How can a person judge whether another has 'reached their full potential' unless it is clear how you judge whether anyone has reached their full potential? What are your criteria? Are you speaking just about their potential in their sport or in their entire life? OJ, did he reach his full potential or did he blow it? Many geniuses, whether science, music, business, etc have left a string of broken homes and children strewn about. Have they reached their full potential? The question is not really able to be discussed unless you first tell us how you measure 'reaching full potential'.

Well, how about you tell me how you know if any person has reached their full potential and then we can go from there

I am tired of your insults Jim. I have tried to honestly answer your questions and to have a reasonable conversation with you but you continue to be a jerk toward me, so piss off! I am not mixing up anything. You are the one trying to troll this medical cannabis thread....clearly. If you can't comprehend that post of mine that you quoted, I think the problem is yours. -

'My Favorite Moron'....wasn't that a sitcom? It's OK, insults are part of the norm here, lol. Want to find performer, just have me post and viola, he appears with another terrible attempt at cannabis humor. He's like Trump on Twitter without the entertaining part. If it could be used in place of opiates for many patients, would it be useful? If it could be used in place of insulin injections, might it be useful? If it worked as a sleep aid, might that be beneficial? How about treating brain tumors? How about as a blood pressure medicine without the side effects ? Epilepsy medicine without the side effects? etc, etc. Yeah, could replace many of today's prescription medicines. And, yes, the worst harm to cannabis users is certainly the possible felony on their record. Without a doubt. -
Actually, no. I am saying he says whatever is most beneficial for him at the moment, without regard for past statements or positions. That video provides many, many tremendously huge examples.

Really no need to be insulting but I guess it is the norm here. A lot of the damage from alcohol abuse is absent from cannabis users/abusers, chiefly the tendency toward violence. You know that...but throw it out there anyway. Again, troll much? The biggest potential harm to cannabis users is legal trouble. That alone should raise a red flag if you give it any thought. (Removed insult here) The real problem with your argument is that it ignores the benefits gained when more and more people choose cannabis as medicine versus many prescription medicines and similarly when more and more people choose cannabis as a social relaxant versus alcohol. Households would have less deadly medicines on hand, some may have fewer alcoholic beverages on hand. There is certainly substitution going on in states where it is allowed. We have seen 25% fewer opiate related deaths in states that have legalized medical cannabis. Also, alcohol sales have gone down in Colorado since cannabis legalization. As cannabis gains more acceptance, these trends I believe will continue. Please consider -

I don't wish this thread to turn into an adult use thread but I will reply one more time. If you want an adult use cannabis thread, start one. Water, drunk in excessive amounts can hospitalize or even kill a person. By your logic, alcohol should be banned immediately as tens of thousands die from its use every year, am I right? Oh, no? So you feel responsible adults should be allowed to drink alcohol? Interesting. If your hypothetical child stumbled upon your pain medicine, would you rather they found your big bag of cannabis or your full bottle of vicodins/norcos? If your hypothetical teenager raided your medicine or your liquor cabinet, would you rather they experimented with cannabis or with whiskey and norcos? Educated people that care about their children would choose cannabis. It won't kill them if they do something very stupid, like take 10 times the recommended dose. -

Recall that for medical purposes for chronic pain patients, that may be pretty close to the desired effect. Patients with pain/sleep issues generally prefer edibles largely because they can be effective for longer periods of time. Rick Simpson, the guy credited with reviving medical interest in cannabis oil, recommends treating cancer patients by asking that they ingest 60 milliliters of super concentrated cannabis oil over the course of 90 days. One could never get that amount of cannabinoids into your system by smoking or vaping. (Note: He does not sell oil. You may want to watch 'Run From the Cure' on Youtube) -

Jim, it is not that anxiety is not a problem, it is. The truth is though, that with pretty much any other substance used to get high, we would be talking about deaths and permanent brain damage for people that had taken 10 times the recommended dosage. If they had drunk 8 bottles of wine and had to go to the emergency room, would it be because wine is not safe for adults? No, I am pretty sure you would be calling those people dumbasses. -

Because if it is a torn ACL, it takes about 6 months to replace and to come back. If the ligament is intact, the meniscus issues can be cut away and the player can be back in weeks -
Couldn't sleep so I watched a movie - "The U.S. vs John Lennon". It centered on Lennon's anti-war activism and how Nixon used various government agencies to try to silence him - Justice Dept, FBI, Immigration, etc. Some of these efforts were legal, some not so much. This got me thinking about a possible Trump administration. Does anyone think Trump will be above such actions? If, in his mind he is wronged by a rival, or anyone really, or if he is sued, will he be able to resist using the power of the presidency to retaliate? If his people or one of his children are caught red handed doing something illegal, will he be able to resist getting involved to cover up the incident? If Trump gets elected, he will likely be impeached, imo.

If Hillary had been saying the same things Trump has been spouting, the press would be drilling her too. Face it, your chosen candidate, Trump, is a moron.
