  1. I wrote an analysis on the injury from a podiatric point ages ago. A lot has to do with the nature of the injury: the tissue features that were damamged- tendon-muscle, the severity of the damage- partial to complete tear, the site of the damage- high to low, tissue damage required for surgery to be performed- was there tissue damage that had to be removed and then the recovery has to be considered- new dressing techniques, physiotherapy loading etc. Phew. But even Achilles surgery has progressed and let's say it was the same surgeon that saw Sam way back then, then at least the surgeon has done quite a few more courses and procedures- building up the experience before tackling Takeo!
  2. I voted, can i have my hat and t-shirt now?
  3. So it's unanimous, C. Watson sucks! Anyone with the surname Watson take not... no naming your kid Chris, Colin, Cathy, Charlie or anything with a "C" otherwise you're kid will likely suck...
  4. As the board's resident Podiatrist...this procedure takes less than 20 minutes. The procedure is less painful than the actual ingrown nail= onychocryptosis! He'd be right to run in 2 days post. 7 days and he'd have forgotten. Turf toe, that's something different. Didn't Kent Hull struggle in later years with a chronic turf toe-having to cut the toe out of his boots? More often it requires surgery
  5. Sounds like he needs to go to Dallas and the tutelage of one TO will put him on the right track
  6. where's soprano when you need him/ her?
  7. He's now apologised saying that although he did accept $ and about 9 months of training with Osama, he just doesn't believe in their cause...
  8. Bay's 1st pooh cast in Bronze As a podiatrist i've made quite a few casts of friends baby's feet. But seriously. Who would cast a first pooh...um Tom and Katie... weird.
  9. News today...I was naive...
  10. Jack Thomas went to Pakistan, to a Madras school after converting to Islam. Whilst there he met Osama twice. He was there for a year but falsified a passport to say it was only a month. He stayed in various "safe" houses throughout his tiime there. He was arrested detained and eventually convicted of having trained with a terrorist organisation and of accepting money from a terrorist organisation. The conviction was quashed on appeal, as a lawyer wasn't present during one of the interviews in Pakistan, despite admitting to all the above in TV interviews. He now has a movement order such that he's not allowed out between 12-5am and must report to police 3* week and provide details of all phone/ internet etc accounts. He's claiming that he's a good guy, he wouldn't harm a fly as instructed by his religion and the Oz goverment is being unfair. Reports say that the USA and UK have these laws as well. Is he being treated harshly? Does the US have these laws?
  11. Preston at center As you're too lazy to look it up...
  12. ...my bad...i thought it said "eat all" not "et al"... From what i read it was more that they were hoping to have a quicker O-line and therefore a slightly lighter O-line and run outside the tackles a lot more. I think Jauron made those comments after Gibson was cut.
  13. ...that's right. Hold that announcement Dick.
  14. ...it's a feel good story Mr Rocca, meet under contract ProBowl Buffalo Bills punter Brian Moorman. He'll be starting this September, but your management has asked if we wouldn't mind letting you watch. Heck, you couldn't even attend the Moorman Punting camp with the kids... Have a t-shirt and a hat. Now, the Frankfurt Galaxy may need a punter...
  15. I heard Aaron Gibson is racing, well plodding on over to find out the secret of being a giant, overeating bust and getting paid for it. I'm afraid news will spread of Big Mike's secret.
  16. He also has the same set of negatives as Wire...
  17. ...and that preseason ends on Thursday night against Detroit. I think that's why he's now down playing it whilst the media here try to talk it up. I did a double take too when they mentioned the Bills.
  18. Yes. Well reasoned and succinct. Great post
  19. We just had that episode of South Park last night...very funny.
  20. I remember raising this with John Guy in 2002. He's not young, never punted in an American Football game, but Rocca's punt distance are pretty legendary in Australia. If he can master the shorter step, the shorter time ("he's got a 5 second reaction time in a 2 second game" quote comes to mind) and the subtleties of NFL punting he could make NFL Europe as in Darren Bennett and then perhaps a shot at a team in 2007...
  21. Um, the Falcons...Not a solid example Dawgg 1995 9-7 1996 3-13 1997 7-9 1998 14-2 1999 5-11 2000 4-12 2001 7-9 2002 9-6 2003 5-11 2004 11-5 2005 8-8 Falcons Drafts If we drafted as the Falc did, Donohoe would have been linched long before last season.
  22. Maybe it was just the blocking scheme... 1 technique gap for C-LG, 3 tech for RG leaving 5 tech Ends for the tackles...
  23. I thought it was Ralph Malph and Pottsie.
  24. Yes it is preseason. Yes, you wear rose coloured lenses, the glass is half full. Yes, it's not about winning but evaluating your talent, depth and to play situations "live" rather than against a team-mate. What do you make of the 41-0 scoreline, noting the aforementioned. Washington suck, or week 1 is going to be The Test we knew when the schedule was announced? Gee, I'm glad the Skin's faithful got to see Todd Collins throw 1 pass... G GS Att Comp % Yd Yd/ Att Lg Td INT Tkld 20+40+ Rate 1997 Buffalo Bills 14 13 391 215 55.0 2367 6.05 77 12 13 39/278 27 9 69.5 This was Todd's 3rd season stats that saw him go nowhere but out of Buffalo to KC clipboard holder...Losman's in his 3rd year... hmmm
