  1. I hated this pick. Can i blame everything on him and Williams for not panning out?
  2. After years of therapy, someone had to bring up a 20-19 scoreline... ...more therapy...
  3. Hey mcjeff from Melbourne... It's on all the news. There will be a state funeral, he did so much for Oz. Sorry to the others, but there was no schtick...what you saw was what he was...no schtick. Sometimes hard to take, i'll agree- how can someone be so "up" all the time, but, yep, that he was. Sad day for the wildlife too.
  4. If TD drafted Chad Kelsay Steelers 1999 and Chris Kelsay 2003 do you reckon he would have entertained Bo Schobel 2004 or Matt Schobel 2002? Conspiracy theory...
  5. This is huge news here. Everyone is talking about it. FYIW, aside from the obvious grief to his family and friends, there loss is felt, the guy built a huge empire employing hundreds. His "Australia Zoo" is one of, if not the #1 tourist destination in Qld- against Dreamworld, Seaworld, Movieworld. He also put big $ into environmental projects including wetlands for endangered species. He went out filming a documentary, with his daughter Bindi about animals that kill. Apparently, the barb on the tail of a stingray penetrated his heart, killing him. All in all it's pretty tragic.
  6. When drafting it is important to remember to plan...
  7. I guess it could be argued that we conduct this review next year Give Marv at least 2 years to re-tool, rework contracts, rework rosters, evaluate return of draft investment as is Mike Williams etc...if required but I understand the early evaluation The Peerless trade was a great move. TD whiffed though in judging coaching talent. There's no denying that
  8. Coach Jauron quote a few weeks back was along the lines of prefering desire to talent. It would seem apt here. My old Olympic Weightlifting coach often added "Talent is an affliction".
  9. We do a number of these procedures a week. Most patients have a subjective description of the pain as "unbearable". It keeps them up at night, it reduces their day activities and it becomes depressing. Every time something knocks the foot it hurts. If you have a sore toe, it becomes a target as well for people to accidentally step on. Pain is very subjective and an experience. That said, you'd think a small procedure would have been performed to eliminate the source of dicomfort, rarely (?) do they get better without intervention and have him back running routes.
  10. Interesting point. Has he any value as trade then to free up a roster spot and improve depth, notably at MLB? What is a "gun" special teamer worth when Moulds value was so little?
  11. ...But Who's on first if What's his name is on second?
  12. Some HoF's may argue this. I'd suggest you don't argue back, then
  13. The new Collective Bargaining Agreement. It's complicated and needs explaining, not just to RW. The 13 teams playing Buffalo this year must name at least 1 player to be kept on the roster. Those teams pay that player's match payments. It's designed, like the draft for parity- helps teams with crappy players match them up on even crappier players. It also reduces embarrasement for players. If you sucked that day, you've always got someone else on the team to stand next to and look good. It works for the other 31 teams too. For example, that's how Bennie's in Miami. We lucked out last year, player payments were way down...RW was rapped:blush:
  14. Serious ? You sure you're not taking the piss ? I can't work it out, not enough emoticons
  15. You don't want to be ringing Vinny come December. His retirement village is showing "Rudy" that month and there's no gurantee they'll release Vinny anyhow.
  16. Leonard's not elligible for PS. DiGiorgio's Detroit game must've really impressed. He flew under the radar, from training camp reports here at least. Burns is on the Injured list, not cut.
  17. I thought we used "belinda" instead of "nm"on this wall, or have i been around too long
  18. I'll get in early...what was his 40 time?
  19. I wrote an analysis on the injury from a podiatric point ages ago. A lot has to do with the nature of the injury: the tissue features that were damamged- tendon-muscle, the severity of the damage- partial to complete tear, the site of the damage- high to low, tissue damage required for surgery to be performed- was there tissue damage that had to be removed and then the recovery has to be considered- new dressing techniques, physiotherapy loading etc. Phew. But even Achilles surgery has progressed and let's say it was the same surgeon that saw Sam way back then, then at least the surgeon has done quite a few more courses and procedures- building up the experience before tackling Takeo!
  20. I voted, can i have my hat and t-shirt now?
  21. So it's unanimous, C. Watson sucks! Anyone with the surname Watson take not... no naming your kid Chris, Colin, Cathy, Charlie or anything with a "C" otherwise you're kid will likely suck...
  22. As the board's resident Podiatrist...this procedure takes less than 20 minutes. The procedure is less painful than the actual ingrown nail= onychocryptosis! He'd be right to run in 2 days post. 7 days and he'd have forgotten. Turf toe, that's something different. Didn't Kent Hull struggle in later years with a chronic turf toe-having to cut the toe out of his boots? More often it requires surgery
  23. Sounds like he needs to go to Dallas and the tutelage of one TO will put him on the right track
  24. where's soprano when you need him/ her?
  25. He's now apologised saying that although he did accept $ and about 9 months of training with Osama, he just doesn't believe in their cause...
