  1. And yet you still haven’t condemned nude performances in front of children. Sick. The longer this goes the more lots of people are going to have questions about you. FYI.
  2. I explicitly condemn that activity. But I haven’t seen you do the same. Seems almost intentional on your part. Sick.
  3. January 6? I agree. If you don’t have the courage to say that was wrong, then something is wrong with you.
  4. What’s the hitler quote these losers put on their literature? One of our resident MAGAs should know.
  5. Just like January 6, right? If you’re going to be concerned about goings on at the Capitol, I would think sedition would trump rainbows. But to MAGA it doesnt. See above.
  6. Democracy also is about priorities. Don’t like rainbows? That’s fine. Go for it. It’s your right. But if you’re going to complain about imagery at the Capitol, I’m going to tell you to get your priorities in line and complain about the January 6 imagery before any other subject in that area is broached. Worry more about sedition at the Capitol and less about rainbow flags at that location.
  7. Hoax. Worry more about democracy than about rainbows. We’ll all be better off for it.
  8. You got schooled, and the best you can come back with is “partisan hack.” If defending the Constitution and the rule of law makes me partisan, then so be it. That says more about MAGA than it does about anything else. this is not to say that I do not share some of your concerns relative to morality. But I happen to think that if we’re going to worry about symbolism at the Capitol, the conversation begins with and focuses on January 6. Everything else is either irrelevant or relationally inconsequential.
  9. None of those things is covered by the second amendment. If you’d like to play the originalist game, and you support the second amendment, then maybe you better get ready to give up your semi-automatic pistols and AR-15s. Those devices, under an extreme originalist theory, can’t be protected by the 2A because they didn’t exist at the time the Constitution was ratified.
  10. Bottom line: you’re complaining about a Pride flag at the Capitol. I have pointed out that the Pride flag is relatively insignificant when compared to the MAGA flags flown at the Capitol during the insurrection. I have also pointed out that you have not complained about the flying of MAGA flags during that event. If you’d like to complain about symbolism at the Capitol, I have suggested that you start with something that was a core threat to the foundation of our democractic republic, rather than getting all bunched up about some rainbows. You have a myopic focus on rainbows and what I understand to be disrespectful and inappropriate behavior of people at certain parades. I think you accurately noted the oddity of your view in your most recent post - your concerns are with morality, whereas mine lie with constitutionality and the bedrock principles that support this country. Finally, there is a big difference between not supporting something and condemning it. I condemn January 6. You don’t. That’s sad. Hoax.
  11. I wonder how the originalists like their muskets.
  12. I disagree. You also don’t properly support the American flag. The biggest threat in to our democratic republic since at least the 1940s, if not the 1860s, is what occurred on January 6. I saw plenty of Trump/MAGA flags in the photos of the insurrection. Nary a complaint from you has been voiced about that gross act of sedition (@ChrisFarley, for once, is right - it was a seditious incident relative to which nobody has been convicted of treason). And yet we have this concern about a flag that represents inclusion of people who deserve to be accepted, respected, and treated equally within our society. If there’s anything to be concerned about relative to a flag at the Capitol, it’s the seditious banners, not those reflecting kindness, love, acceptance, and equality.
  13. How so? (And again, you’re prioritizing rainbows over treason.) What’s your point?
  14. You’re free to disagree with a business. That’s capitalism. You just don’t (try to) use the levers of government to harm the business because of that differing viewpoint. That is NOT conservative.
  15. This presumes the pride flag is political. It is not. And, the point remains, you’re more worried about rainbows than you are about treason and insurrection. Unto each their own, I suppose.
  16. If you believe in what DeSantis is doing with respect to Disney, then you aren’t a conservative.
  17. I have no idea whether that’s true. The allegations with respect to Kelly and Reed involved a dispute relating to a local media personality. I won’t name the person bc it’s “ancient” history, and because I wouldn’t want a loved one reading about them in that context.
  18. Yeah seriously. He’s a capitalist until someone say something that hurst his tender feelings. Then he’s a little dictator.
  19. A refreshing change, isn’t it? We can disagree on economic and social policy, but it’s hard to have rational conversation about anything when they won’t do bedrock things like support the law and the constitution. This. Exactly. Putting that aside, as the President he also had them ability to do this thing called saying no. So all this MAGA victimization junk about how this fool was pressured and how the real issue is the deep state boogeyman is, as usual, garbage.
  20. This may be the first Trump hoax. The original hoax, or the source hoax, if you will. I’m curious of which felonies Mr. Levin speaks. Hoax.
  21. Hoax. You would do no such thing.
  22. This is ECMCC you’re talking about, right? I’m not an expert in such matters, but I believe that facility cares for, among others, seriously injured children.
  23. No, it’s not a flag of a political party. And, even if it was, its appearance there was accomplished peacefully. By contrast, MAGA-themed flags appeared there through violence and treason. I hear no complaints about the insurrection, and it seems to me that on the continuum of wrong the insurrection is far worse than the flying of a pride flag or flags.
  24. There’s a lot of other stuff that should never happen at the Capitol, but here we have people wringing their hands about some flag or flags rather than the January 6 festival of treason. Wanna fly a pride flag? Awesome. Have at it. I think it’s great. Don’t want to fly that Fahd? Cool. No hard feelings. That’s your right. Seems like the American way. And yet our Republican friends get all wound up about someone expressing freedom of expression and ignore things like insurrection.
