  1. I don’t believe that I’m clever. I am clever. Not in the horse way, either. But the beautiful thing is that insurers are going to make those who unjustifiably refuse the vax pay through the nose. Don’t like it? Ask for more government regulation. But I won’t. Because unlike you, I believe in freedom.
  2. Gotta incentivize vaccines. And make everyone who doesn’t get the vax and costs me money pay their fair share. America, baby. Liberty. Freedom.
  3. Oh no big boy. This isn’t a leftist plan. It’s a conservative plan. Free markets. Self reliance. Get with the program or get out, commie.
  4. A fair point. Kind of like the distinction without difference between taxes and tariffs.
  5. Surcharges, Dr. Timmy, surcharges.
  6. I agree that it’s different. The government requirements also are legal - IIRC the authority dates either to Nixon or to Reagan era legislation. I’m all for the mandates, but I acknowledge the view that using OSHA to enforce on medium to large employers is … roundabout. I don’t have an issue whatsoever with public employers requiring the vax as a condition of employment. Totally reasonable and non-discriminatory. Don’t like it? Get a new job.
  7. Chris Cuomo should have been fired yesterday. End of story. It shouldn't even be debated. He has to go.
  8. I haven't seen too many anti-vaccine mandates. Want to complain about vax mandates through OSHA? Fine. Fair enough. We deeply disagree, but two may have an opinion. Want to complain about private mandates, e.g., your employer telling you on its own volition to get a vax or get out? No sympathy whatsoever here. That's freedom at work in this free market economy.
  9. So are you Q, then? It wouldn't surprise me. You're a little nutty lately. But you also might have a selfie with JFK Jr. on your iPhone. That would be cool.
  10. Dr. Timmy. That's a good one. I'll have to use it. I notice he hasn't participated in my thread about health insurers applying surcharges to the unvaccinated.
  11. Hoax. They can jack up the rates on everyone so long as the new rates are affordable, and then offer incentive plans to cut the rates for those who have or who choose to obtain the vaccine. Simple and effective sleight of hand. Liberty. Rule of law. America. Freedom, baby. I can't wait to see it happen to all of those hoaxers who don't get their vax because they don't like the government "telling them what to do." Then they'll complain because the government isn't telling the insurers to stop raising rates on them. They'll want more regulation. And less free market economy and freedom. Disgusting. They should move to Communist China if that's how they feel. We love freedom in this country. They should love this country, too.
  12. hit in the face. struck with the football in the face. as a professional wide receiver. AFCC and (I think) NE on MNF.
  13. I saw him get hot in the face with the ball a few times last year after he returned from injury. That probably did him in here.
  14. Nope. They made the right call. Less risk in doing what they did. But that’s between them and their insurer. Freedom, baby. Capitalism. Surcharges for the unvaxxed. Liberty. Count me in. Take it up with the carriers. They may make a business decision to apply a surcharge only to the uniquely stupid, namely, those who don’t get the vax. Kind of like not having to make a wedding cake for two guys who want to marry. Freedom. Liberty. America, baby. Hoax. I never said insurers could do whatever they want. They have the liberty — the freedom — to impose surcharges on the unvaxxed. Don’t like it? Ask for more regulation and less freedom. Whatever. I love America. You should too.
  15. I think we’ll see the KC game plan with a healthy dose of Gabe Davis. Maybe this is the week we bust out the shot to Kumerow that we’ve been setting up all year. Can’t wait for next Monday.
  16. Hoax. I do all the things you mentioned. Run my *as off, no booze, no cigs, no meat. And a vax. Get in line to pay the surcharge, sir.
  17. Hoax. Our laws give insurers the freedom to do exactly what I have proposed. Enjoy the liberty. And, if you don’t like it, work to change the law. In the meantime, you don’t have a right to free insurance, or to private insurance subsidized on my dime. Not in my America. I don’t stand for the socialism that you seem to want, and I suspect that all of the non-commies here agree with me. Maybe insurers will do that. Maybe they won’t. It’s a business decision. Free markets, baby. Capitalism. America. Liberty. If you don’t like it, and you don’t want to pay the surcharge, get your vax or give up your insurance. You don’t have a right to private health insurance in this country. Stop being a commie and get with the program.
  18. Call your Congressman. In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy watching insurers exercise their freedom to hit COVID deniers with big, juicy surcharges. Another Simpsons reference - that’s the kind of thing that makes democracy a friend, not a foe.
  19. Same here. Weather and a COVID outbreak. This is put up or shut up week, and I feel like we’re maybe, finally, focused and ready to get our act together.
  20. Don’t get the vax, go to the ER, and maybe the morgue. That’s the way it goes. But not my problem anymore. I wish it wasn’t so, but I guess I’ll reluctantly accept the improvement of the gene pool when these hoaxers decide to fight COVID with nothing, or horse dewormer, or Skittles, and become statistics. Such is life. And death. Now my big concern is that these COVID deniers don’t freeload on my good health habits. Enjoy the health insurance surcharges when you don’t get the vax. I love that business have the liberty to charge those who make things more expensive for everyone else more. Freedom, baby. That’s America, baby. Freedom. Liberty. Like Homer Simpson says, if you don’t like it, then go to Russia. Maybe there you could not take the Sputnik. Or maybe you could just be a commie. Whatever. I love my freedom.
  21. Exciting news for those who, like me, love freedom. It turns out that surcharges of up to 30% of the cost of employer-sponsored health insurance can be charged to those who unjustifiably refuse a COVID-19 vaccine. I’m sure that we can all agree that this is great news. And, if you don’t want to get the vax, and want to continue to freeload on my good health habits in the collective pooling of risk, remember that you have the freedom to go without health insurance. (Which makes sense, anyways, because COVID is just another hoax by those evil rotten Democrats. Hoax. It’s not. But we all know that.). Enjoy our freedom, and the inevitable surcharges that will accompany your exercise of your freedom not to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
  22. Phillips played more than Bryant and Ankou against NO. There's no guarantee that Star is back against NE. He's a big guy who had COVID. He might be awhile if his conditioning deteriorated or if he is fatigued. (Or if--as humans we all hope this isn't the case with anyone, Buffalo Bill or otherwise--he has a more serious case of COVID.)
  23. That's what I see, too. We were tight against the saints. That plus the noise may have accounted for some of the pressure off of the edge. But it made a lot of sense with Breida's speed in the game plan and the reluctance to have another game wrecked by pressure in Josh's face.
  24. I’m not a doctor, but in this situation I wonder if second opinion would be good news. It’s either torn, or it’s not. Second opinion might be relevant if there is a partial tear, or if it is sprained.
  25. Hoax. You want to gorge at the buffet and then make me pay the bill. Get your shot or pay up. America, baby. Freedom. better load up on your HCQ with that new Botswana variant making the rounds.
